DSL TC Showcases / Re: Billy's DSL Showcase Build and Try« on: July 04, 2019, 09:10:19 AM »VS is kinda . Axe looks nice except the bottom of the axe shaft looks a bit empty, some more filling in around the motor would be nice IMO. I like the idea of the flamer, but you're 50kg underweight and 1 medium tank is nowhere near enough for 2 flamethrowers.Oof at the VS statement. As for the axe, so you mean like motor cover or fake axle. Honestly, the weight is 798.5, and Idk if I want to compromise the tail. And the flamer is meant more as a pusher tbh, and the flame is secondary actually. And it's one tank because I don't have enough space and too lazy to BFE too for more tanks by moving positions for compact internal Also, extra pics 44
Tournament Archives / Re: Orc's Wars Series 4« on: July 04, 2019, 09:04:21 AM »probably a silly question, but are any glitches allowed? I often battery stack in my designs.People now use RA2CF when building, thus rendering glitches useless. Also, battery stacking is illegal as it's DSL-IRL, and Rupt glitch and EFFe I think are illegal too as it unfairly overpower flipper and allow illegal stacking if used on weapon respectively. I suggest you read the DSL-IRL guide on the tutorial to know more about the meta, as well as get DSL 2.2 Complete Edition, as this is what people use now 45

Using this showcase now. Sorry for the tourney being delayed because I spent time building and also have other stuffs IRL taking my time. Anyway, made Mecha Shapeshifter. It's an extenderbot designed to have every weapon type. However, I decided to make four first. They are axe, top front hinge flipper, flamer wedge, and VS. Splash pic:

Tournament Archives / Re: Orc's Wars Series 4« on: July 04, 2019, 02:39:58 AM »When will we see who the seeds are? It's already posted on the Discord server. Idk when it will be up on GTM though Alao, hyped for this tourney 47
Tournament Archives / Re: Orc's Wars Series 4« on: July 03, 2019, 11:21:41 PM »They are. But the fixes are just attachment point fix. Basically for the beta AP, the fix centers it. While for batteries, it just add more AP. And you can get them all on the Custom Components section of Downloads (there's also the colored wheels and casters, but I think it's not used for this tourney yet)Components used for OW4: Edit: Ninja'd by Geese 48

Bot rundowns and opinions:
Elysium: Nice Sawblaze/Cobalt inspired saw. I especially like the color of it, as well as the disc shape (Unknown name): I think I know this one as Mr AS' bot as he showed it on the ARC server. Anyway, nice drumbot. I like how the teeth are shaped too Galaxxus: Nice original idea. I also love all the skinning on it, as well as the custom component. Plus the fact this bot also inspired a RL bot builder in Discord to make the weapon concept IRL Arcadia: Clean VS. Not much to say other than that 51
Contests / Re: Vote BOTM July 2019 (IRL Extenderbots)« on: July 02, 2019, 05:15:51 AM »
Bot rundowns and opinions
Pangolin Mk3: Clean flipper. I like the extender frame for it, as well as the polycarbonate covers Joyride 2: Nice Yeti inspired bot. I like the big wheels, as well as the curved srimech on top Stiletto: Cool hammerbot. I like the shape of it. Also nice 19th to early 20th century inspired splash btw. Voodoo II: Clean. I like the wheelguards, as well as plowed wedge Atom Heart Mother: Also clean. Like the weapon support and the arm 52

Bot rundowns and opinions
Twisted Fate: Cool and clean VS. I like the improvement from first version, as well as the new color scheme (Unknown name): Cool clamp. I especially like all those triangle plates for aesthetic. Gives it a bit of jagged feel Pot Luck: Clean flipper. I especially like the skin on it, as well as the theme (Unknown name): Based on Caustic Canary and Two Headed Death Flamingo, but still looks clean regardless. I like the extenderwork especially Octane B-Spec: Clean. I like the skin, as well as the extenderwork, with how the support flows, and that deflector plate fits Seraphim: Clean sawbot. I like all the extenderwork, as well as the trapping spike. The large saw is also good 53
Challenge Board / Re: RA2 CHALLENGE THREAD - CHALLENGE BELT« on: July 02, 2019, 05:06:39 AM »Is there a way for me, the local idiot, to enter this? You can. But you have to wait for other challenges first. Also, Idk if you can use other weightclass for challenge belt. I think it's maybe possible, but people mostly use HW for this 54

Nice posting of your PWS6/Parsec World Series 6 (which will be in Signup on July 5) roster. Good idea

General Support / Re: Can't open up .bot files in Notepad++« on: June 30, 2019, 01:52:50 AM »
Talking about the black part and datas that have symbols which make it look garbled, they also appear if you put a chassis skin I think, especially if you increase the skin size on the image editor program. I tend to encounter it on the bot file
Also, please attach your image to the post itself rather than leaving it at the attachments section. It will make them easier to see 56

Awesome clamp. Never seen a clamp design like this in RA2 too

DSL TC Showcases / Re: FlamesOfIce's DSL IRL Showcase« on: June 24, 2019, 06:14:11 PM »
That looks better now. Also, i like the new eggbeater too.
And just to add, but honestly for me, I have no problem with typhoon drums. For your drum, my only problem with the setup is that you had 8 smalls and the teeth were directly attached to the drum itself, rather than an extender or hexplate then drum cover 58
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Bildschirms Bots! (Also Hi!)« on: June 24, 2019, 06:03:40 PM »Yeah, gotta agree here. While I love, love, love the skinning and while the disc idea seems cool, it just seems it would fly away and just get pushed off if this was attempted IRL. Although if anyone who has done something like this and made it work, then I would allow something like this. But as of now? Sadly, I wouldn't.Well, as I said before, I showed this bot, as well as the Discord only sketch pics Bild made of the weapon system, to other servers after I got Bild's permission, and someone got inspired in one the servers. That person actually decided to make a BW with that concept 59
DSL TC Showcases / Re: Bildschirms Bots! (Also Hi!)« on: June 24, 2019, 10:09:52 AM »We get it, you want to win BOTM againEh, I would accept brand new components tbh as long as they have same stat or weaker than an existing component. Bild said that component has same stat as Minion disc, so that stat is acceptable to me. Though tbf, I think I won't accept the design tbh because it would just break in few hits or be ineffective IRL 60
