Stock Showcases / Billy's Stock Build and Try
« on: September 08, 2018, 08:27:12 AM »
Welcome to my stock showcase. Since I'm not a fan of stock, I will only post bots that are for tourneys, challenges, and BOTM's. So, here is my first stock HW, entered in Revolution 3, Overpop. It is a HW popup. Though I'm too lazy to improve on it. Will do once I get the motivation to do it, like another tourney.

I have ideas to start a tournament. After getting the required programs, I can finally host it. Welcome to Robot Emperor

Rules:
-DSL-IRL HW
-There will be 16 entrants, divided into four groups of four. Each group will have a rumble, with two of the winners being allowed to advance into the main bracket.
-The main bracket will consist of eight robots, seeded based on their past history and performance on the qualifier rumble.
-1 entry per player
-If you cannot AI, I can AI for you. However, it is preferred if you AI your bot yourself
Build rules:
-All bots must incorporate at least one active weapon. For example, a rammer must have a moving weapon, like a stabbing spike, a lifting wedge etc.
-Thwackbots, SnS, and Meltybrain allowed. However, for the former two, they also have to incorporate at least one active weapon, unless if they can move while spinning, where they will be classified as a Meltybrain.
-Servobot is not allowed, unless if you can AI it yourself
-Clusterbots and drones are allowed. However, given the format of the tournament, be warned that during the qualifier rumble, only one of the clusterbot’s component can be entered. You can also enter a The Swarm style bot, but only two of the bots can enter per battle.
-Swiss army bots allowed, with unlimited amount of modularity, including major ones, like changing an entire weapon, or minor ones, like an attachment to help in a fight against a specific bot type. However, you must send me a message about what config do you want to use within 24 hours. If the 24 hours time runs up, then I will just use the original config.
-Walkers and shufflers allowed, with 100% and 50% weight bonus for them, respectively. However, that weight must only go to the propulsion system, and not any other, like armor, weapon, batteries, and  motors. Also, if you want to enter one, you must AI it yourself too, or it won’t be allowed to compete
-Geese NPC motors are fine. Madiaba smartzones are fine. DSC’s - IRL packs are also fine. CB2 components are also fine, as long as they are not abused too much, like using stronger version of non CB2 components, using the invisible motor, too much OP components, etc
-RA2CF, BFE, OBJRA2, and other tools or stuffs (like component skinning, though you have to send me the custom skin file too for that) to help with making IRL bots allowed
-Mechavore, Microvore, Minion, and Mini Minion disc is allowed. However, for those discs, and CB2 replica discs, there is a limit of one disc, and no mix and matching between discs.
-Eternalflame.py is banned
-Don’t be a tryhard and send one bot like that
Battle rules:
-Arena is the 2016 Robot Wars Arena
-Battles will be 3 minutes long
-Battles with Havok will be rerecorded. If I already recorded it three times after the original Havok’ed, and all of them end in Havok, then I will use the one with the mildest Havok.
-Robots that get immobilized (either by losing more than 50% of a clusterbot’s total weight, or losing mobility, which will be defined as controlled movement) will be counted out. In the event that the in game counter did not appear due to game limitation (like a bot considered moving, but uncontrolled, and being harassed by opponents), then I will start countdown manually, starting from 5 seconds after I detected no mobility.
-If 3 minutes passed without a KO, then a Judge’s decision will happen. There will be three categories to be scored for, with 35 points per bot:
Damage: 3 x (1-5)
Agression: 2 x (1-5)
Control: 2 x (1-5)

Accepted
Rejected

Creativity Showcase / Billy's Creative Showcase
« on: July 10, 2018, 09:18:54 AM »
Welcome to my IRL creative showcase. After seeing the CAD thread, I wanted to make on for myself. However, I then decided to make one for any creative things I done. So here it is. It is for any pictures, drawings, writings, CAD's, etc made by me. So, to start, I will show my two bot CAD's

1. (No name yet)

My first ever CAD of a bot, it was made four months ago, with Blender. It is 4WD, and equipped with lifting forks, as well as a small VS on the top and rear wedge. It underwent few changes, like lowering the ground clearance, making the forks wedged, and adding two teeth to the VS, but otherwise, it remained the same. I will fix the bot later though, after people pointed what's wrong with it

2. Vertical Rampage

My second bot CAD, and the first made with Tinkercad. It was made just a couple of days ago. It is a 4WD HW VS, with quick speed, maneuverability, and powerful weapon. However, it trades armor because of that.

DSL TC Showcases / Billy's DSL Showcase Build and Try
« on: May 12, 2018, 08:00:51 AM »
Welcome to my showcase. As you know, I'm still a newbie (I have just owned stock since 1 May and downloaded DSL and Ironforge this week, on Wednesday.) At this point, I have built few robots on all three versions together (not sure with stock and DSL, but still few, while one for Ironforge).

Anyway, back to my DSL showcase, this will show what I build on DSL. First up, a vertical spinner that I talked about yesterday on Discord, Vert Shredder. You can find pictures of it externally and internally on the attachments below. It is a heavyweight, with a Perm powering the vertical disc.

The second is a flipper named Flipper Time. It is another heavyweight, this time powered by a beta motor for it's flipper, and using flipping segments and a snow plow to form the flipper. It also has two wheel drive. You can also find the pictures of Flipper Time's external and internals below, on the attachments

That's what I can show for now. Any suggestions to improve both will be appreciated, and I'm aware of it's flaws, like the exposed motor of Vert Shredder, so please tell me how to fix that
