That is insane! Just something about extenderbots that look really cool. Are the exposed wheels not an issue in game?

What component do you use for the antennas? They suit the IRL bots really nicely.

The red battery is added, (didn't take an internal shot but trust it's there). The spare weight allowed me to add more range for when Knots 2 spins. Axe heads replace the maces used beforehand. Extenders were added to the frame to make the robot have a near zero ground clearance, which makes it more stable when spinning than ever.

After the Thwackbot success, I thought I would build my first Lightweight in the style of a Robot Wars Competitor, (no prizes for guessing who). The extenders cover the hinges to make them less exposed and the wheels are Slimbody Motors which work decently.

You are already one of the most interesting IRL builders, definitely a student of the craft.

Make some skins if you're going to have a big chassis. Killjoy could have tiger stripes and be named "Panthera Tigris" or something.

Consider it done. I was thinking of a name change before I saw this, so Panthera Tigris is a good example of a cool latin-named robot.

Edit: The new shortened frame meant I couldn't reach the opposition without them hitting me first, so made a newer version of the original frame.

As I haven't made a thwackbot before, I thought I would give it a shot. The lack of motors for the weapon allowed me to use strong armour and extenders. The bot itself was surprisingly good, as every battle I have entered against the AI so far has lead to a win either on points or a KO. Maybe I should develop a proper thwackbot for a tourney in the future, as they seem a strong bot choice for middleweights...

There any spaces left? If so how can I enter.

It feels good finally making a bot that actually works, spent so many hours figuring out extenders :)

The flipper has changed colour and is more attached, plus I added a little extender support underneath for visual. Competition ready?

I have spent quite a bit of time working on a middleweight for the competition based on all previous feedback and think I have come up with the perfect robot, (and easily my favourite to date.) It uses; decent wheels, fast drive motors, medium length motor for the flipper this time to ensure it flips, it can self-right, the armour placement isn't too messy, it has decent armour (being Titanium 5), it has multiple colours rather than just a singular colour, and has a good wedge at the front. Would this be a decent entry to Silverfishes tournament, only 6 places remain so I want to submit something today.

Not sure off the top of my head what the motor is, pretty sure it's the VDMA, still getting used to the names.

Here are the internals:

Adding larger teeth to the disc made it so it collides with the ground, so have decided to go back to not just middleweights but flippers too. Following the ice theme, Glacier is a pretty similiar robot to Blizzard in the way the chassis is quite small and it relys on extenders to keep the bot together. I spent a while working on effective self righting, adding a disc with extenders to make a simple rollcage on the back. The wedge at the back stops the robot flipping itself over, but the weight distribution in the robot makes it so it gets pulled back down after the flip which is lucky. The armour isn't the greatest as I only used a mixture of aluminium and titanium panels, but it works well.

After multiple middleweight attempts which I may post later, I tried practising my extender skills by making a heavyweight. The disc was surprisingly effective, flipping the opposition. I made the chassis as small as possible as I have seen extenderbots on here use 1x1 chassis' and thought I would try smaller chassis bot building.

They were originally more covered up but the middleweight limit means I had to sacrifice it slightly.

I know but I have no idea how to balance IRL-ness and make it look tidy.

The wedge is more attached and the axe head is more effecient.

Added the armour panel for a wedge instead of the smaller wedges, including the side and bottom extensions. The hinge is now inside the robot and the weight is 398.8kg which IMO is brilliant weight use. Is Domination 1.2 tournament standard now?

I would change the hinged forks to a strong wedge

Any specific wedges in mind?

I had the Typhoon spike originally to go with the orange theme, but it just put it over the weight limit. I will go back into the lab and make it up to scratch. And yeah, I did see Silverfishes tournament.

Edit: Domination has had the upgrades to become Domination 1.1. The armour was tuned down from Titanium to Aluminium, but was necessary to make the improvements. The wheel panels downgraded from Steel to Titanium, which made it fit very nicely within the weight limit. The wedges were upgraded from Aluminium to Steel as they are important protection to the chassis as well as getting underneath the opponent. The wedges are now also on metal hinges. 4 red batteries replace the 6 ant batteries, and the CF allowed me to put the batteries on external extenders and use panels to protect them which look pretty tidy. Finally, the beater bar was replaced with a Typhoon tooth and the arm was extended from 100cm to 120cm for better range. Any stand out improvements that need to be made?

I have come across a lot of tournament recently which require middleweight robots, so spent a while making one that can actually win a battle. I turned off CF as the tournament I'm looking at doesn't allow it. It's got a 100% win streak against the AI robots, so is easily my most successful robot thus far. The armour is Titanium 5, so a previous post suggested Titanium>Steel. It's pretty rapid and the axe comes down with good speed. I did all I could within the weight limit. Would this robot by a good entry to my first tournament? Bearing in mind this is my first ever middleweight.
