Once 48 teams are hit, then the deadline will be set for 1 week after. People can still enter during that week but after that entries will close
Yup, Robo has summed it up perfectly!

36/48 teams: we're three quarters of the way towards the minimum amount of builders/teams needed to start! If you're thinking of entering, might want to get your gears in gear! Don't rush yourselves too much though, as soon as we hit 48 teams: there will be a week's deadline.

WE'RE OVER HALFWAY TO THE MINIMUM TEAM LIMIT! 28 teams are getting ready to mash metal for what is looking to be the most stacked series yet! I'm glad that this is the first thing I see when I login for the first time in months. Good stuff, will have to dust off some of the builds.
Appreciate it, hope to see you enter!

We've had 20 out of 48 teams enter so far, thanks everyone for entering/showing interest! If you've sent robots and I haven't messaged, don't worry: just haven't checked them yet. Will continue tomorrow!
There's still plenty of time to enter with no set deadline yet. However as soon as we hit 48 teams (IF we do), a week's deadline will be issued! Keep your eyes peeled!

Right so after computer issues, crash patches and lack of motivation: we're REBOOTing Orc's Wars Series 5! RULESET:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DVpgLadgG2l9BxwuycujsRLUE_qp7AJINEakg7BnWsk/edit?usp=sharingQUALIFICATION:Every person can enter 3 entries: a Lock-In, a Qualifier and a Reserve. - LOCK-IN: 48 slots. These robots go straight through to the main series joining the 16 seeds. IF more than 48 people enter OW5 then I'll have to push some of these Lock-Ins down to Reserves. - QUALIFIER: 32 slots but only 16 advance. These robots have to fight for their spot in the main competition. Win and you're in. - RESERVE: 16 slots. The final bunch of robots will be hand-picked by me. No definite criteria, just if I like your robot then I'll allow it in! IF your Lock-In entry was pushed down to here, do not worry: you can still have your planned Reserve entry ready also. FORMAT:96 robots which are split into 3 tiers. - Orc Tier - The 16 seeds plus 16 robots either known as veterans that have proved themselves in series before or robots that did extremely well in qualifiers (Flatline, Duper Scooper) - Ogre Tier - Robots that are exactly that: middle of the field. (EWoT, Saturnalia) - Goblin Tier - Bottom of the barrel, typical newcomer bots, meme/joke bots (Darwinian Predator, Vivacious C) Each robot will fight an Orc Tier, Ogre Tier, Goblin Tier before going into 4th Fight Fever where each robot will fight another robot with their respective score (3-1 vs 3-1, 2-2 vs 2-2 and so on)
Series will be broken down into parts: - Orc vs Orc/Orc vs Ogre - Ogre vs Ogre/Ogre vs Goblin - Goblin vs Goblin/Goblin vs Orc - Desperado - 4th Fight Fever - Any additional events like elimination tourneys and Last Chance Rumble to get the Ro32 finalised - Ro32 onwards SEEDS:1- Flatline 3 2- Unsainted 3- Bocuma III 4- Death is Drumming IV 5- Nebula Rev.2 6- Greedee 7- Slapshot 8- Clown Car 9- Insanity 10- Plastic Memories 11- Arctic Fox Rampage V 12- Thanatos Redeemer 13- Phantom 14- Corrosion 15- Silhouette 16- Claymore OW5 will be using DSL 2.4 alongside using Coloured Slipperbottoms and Robot X Caster Colours....PLUS a NEW ARENA! Not being rude here, but Thorak didn't deserve that win. Seriously, was their fight with ORBY just HUGE vs Whiplash all over again? ORBY tore off the entire flipper, and you give it to them? Let me guess, the "style, control, damage and agression" type judges decision? Just explain it.
When you start with "Not being rude", it often means you're gonna be rude. Aggression: Thorak was easily the aggressive robot here, charging at ORBY and wedging under it continuously. Control: Thorak. When did ORBY have control? RA2 Spinning around in circles is not control/aggression for either robot. Thorak was flipping it around. Damage: Considering that RA2 flippers don't do damage, this goes to ORBY. However, Thorak was not KOed and the majority of the damage it took was when both bots spun in circles...which isn't aggressive or controlled.
With this, Thorak wins on Aggression and Control. Sure, ORBY did damage but it literally did nothing else. Damage is not the only category that matters.
