And here comes the final main series video! Redemption claimed!
I'll be accepting suggestions for rumbles and grudge matches via PM, and have a few planned myself. That exhibition video will be coming within the week.
Also, nominate your favorite bot in the competition, most destructive bot, most creative bot, 3 favorite Main Bracket matches, and 3 favorite Redemption Bracket matches. No voting for your own robots in the first 3 categories!

^The NCAA basketball Tournament is kind of the inspiration for my bracket here, where there is a 1-16 seed in each region. :)
And now, the Elite 8 all the way through the championship round!:

A couple of posts have been made already, but here is the video for the Sweet 16 and another round of Redemption fights! As Roboteer mentioned, Tilted Spec 2 unfortunately hit the floor of the OoB area. Tournament rules dictate that once touching that floor, the robot is considered OotA-ed. I was disappointed to lose TS2 to that rule (and have the fight end there), but I stand by said rule for the kind of balance within the field that I always hoped the RG arena could be capable of.

Today, the Round of 32 airs in it's entirety (and with music, albeit disjointed music)! This cuts the field down to the Sweet 16, enjoy!

Redemption Round 1 is here!:Doomsday Prophecy vs. Wu-Pah! was probably the toughest judge's decision so far. Very close, I think Wu-Pah!'s batteries giving out just inside of the clock expiring for those 2 hits from TDP was the difference-maker. Awesome fights all-around though!

Time to finish up the first round! Here's the other half of the Round of 64:
and Ahri vs. Polkadot Spider, which was left out of the video:

I had hoped and promised to have a smooth tournament and not have any situations like this, but I need to announce that SThreeD is disqualified. I take full responsibility for not noticing a motor and battery intersection when I first received the robot, and it even took a couple of in-depth looks with help in the garage for me to finally catch it. Were it fixable, I would personally fix it. I apologize to TGM and especially apologize to the couple of robots that were left out of the main bracket who could have gotten a chance instead. Going to revert the old decision and add an addendum in the next video.

The first half of our Round 1 battles have been fought and are in the record books! Check 'em out below: Mostly chalk so far, I think the 2nd half of the first round is full of more exciting matches, personally. The round of 32 is shaping up to be quite fun though!

Not only do I get the righteous Gorrilaz reference, but I believe there's already MW bot in the exchange with the Superfast Jellyfish moniker. So you made the right choice anyways :)

For anyone else interested in sending robots for Mech Madness:
The deadline is officially one week (and a few hours) away.
With 61 applicants as of now, I'm only 3 robots away from meeting my personal goal of 64 unique robot entries. That being said, the bar is always set higher, and I would love to have so many applicants to choose from that only the best of the best make the final field. Don't hesitate to submit your builds, even as the total number of entries surpasses 64!
