Working on a SHW clusterbot and I'll probably enter one of the halves as a CW. Maybe I'll enter Venom for the LW division.

Wow, has it really been a month since I posted here? Oops  Anyway, this week on "dumb stuff I built just to see if I could": a MW servo lifter Voltronic clone. As it turns out, DSL servos have so little power that it can't even lift a lightweight (honestly makes me wonder what they're even for), but it's wedgy enough to just get under opponents and shove them around the arena. I also had the foresight to add teeth on the underside of the arm, so it can act as a clamper.

Not the slightest bit surprised... but thanks :D And here's a WIP render of a robot I'm designing for a story I'm planning. I think I made the internal volume too small because I can't fit the internals in nicely. And yes, those are googly eyes.

Got a bit lucky vs Doot in the first match. This arena's walls are so low, I'm surprised that there are so few flippers. Even a weak front hinged flipper with good drive could've gone far.
In hindsight, I probably should've entered one of my flippers, rather than an angled spinner built from one of my flippers that relies on Mauler-dancing to self-right. That was not a good idea.

Did someone say "potential Robot Wars designs"?  This is Defcon, I think I showed off a WIP version in the Discord a little while back. It's a compact vertical spinner with a unique trefoil-shaped blade - don't know how effective it'd be (and it could probably be beefed up a little), but it looks pretty cool. Underneath the armour I've actually modelled the chassis and most of the internal mechanics, but I haven't modelled stuff like mounts so everything's just kinda floating :P I lack the engineering skill to build this but it's a cool "what if" design. I have a couple of others that I might work on as well.

imo the wings would look better closer to the top of the wedge
also: make them angle out to the side instead of being perpendicular to the chassis
i'll second Kurt on getting those wings more on the top of the chassis, but more for reasons of reach on the hammer.
alternatively you can make a longer weapon boom.
Took me waaaaay longer than it should have done but I did the things. I also gave it bigger wheels, to give it more ground clearance and to fill out the wheelguards more.  And here's my first pass at the first half of my LDAI team! Skins are still subject to change and I'm not sure about Zero Degrees. I can't build lower than MW very well.

Is Mr. AS entering Roboticide as in the axebot that comes with the mod?
I only ask because Roboticide is the AI bot I use most frequently for testing in Retooled, so I'm pretty confident that Zsasz and Meteor can beat it.

Not bad, but I feel like it would work better as a heavyweight. Beef up the drive and armour, add something on the top so it can self-right, and maybe some decoration on the front and sides.

So It's got to be Red Claw: What No BFEing? The Rules did state that a builder could BFE. But did this builder have anything that allows them to edit the Bot file?
Fun fact: I did try BFE-ing Redclaw's burst arc but it just havok'd like crazy so it wasn't worth it. I'll admit it was rather sloppily-built, though. That's what I get for leaving it so late and then sh**ting out an entry at the last second :P Best Robot: dunno Worst Robot: The Sneaky Poke. I mean, really? Coolest Robot: Gonna go with the crowd and say The Inverter-A with those inverting wheel pods. Unluckiest Robot: dunno Luckiest Robot: Chaotic Reaction, I'm still surprised it got as far as it did. Most Destructive Robot: Hornbob Fury. That VS is not to be trifled with. Least Realistic Robot: Spoider. What even... Funniest Robot: Crash. Watching it tumble all over the place was hilarious. Most Boring Robot: The Sneaky Poke. It's a box that doesn't do anything. At least mine landed a few hits and then fell over. Best Fight: dunno

To be perfectly honest, I would have given that first fight to Ouraung III. Aether Paradise was completely out of the arena and the only reason it wasn't eliminated was because it just happened to hit a strut on the way down. I think you did the right thing restarting the match, but Ouraung was very unlucky there, that would have been an almighty upset.

Yeah, seems like multibots (and the front-hinged popups, I forget the proper term) are the better option for popups. Crimson did alright though.
