If you're looking to improve your bots, opening a showcase is the way to go.
Actually I agree with Badger. The best way to start off at GTM is to start your own personal showcase after you improve. The Red Baron is pretty average, but there could be better.

You could enter Flying Squirrel in 2.5 (similar to Extreme) if you want to. No intro required. You just have to tell AHOG, I bet he'll just easily give you the go-ahead. He's a really nice guy.

I'd say it's because it had an undeserving win in one match, then everyone just held a grudge over its head when it defeated Shrederator and Bite Force fair and square.
I think it won its first match because Disco's flipper didn't count as a primary weapon.
The same happened with Mega Tento vs Stinger.
Whatever the case is, Chomp's getting nerfed next year.
