BFE is generally allowed for IRL tournaments so bots can be made IRL easier. It's usually the norm to not allow BFE in tournaments.

Partially because I have no idea what BFE does.   :dumb)
BFE is bot file editing. It allows one to move parts around via editing the bot file, as opposed to doing the edit in the bot lab. It's never really used for standard building in a legal way because there's no stacking in standard tournaments.
I guess that makes sense.
So that's how spinneroo, mate made his teeth float after losing his discs.
I should probably not allow it in the rules.
And have.

So why is BFE allowed?  :dumb)
I don't know actually...  I just thought I needed it after not allowing it in the previous tournament.
Should I disallow it?
Ok. so when is sine-ups?
Hopefully whenever I get a reply on the question above...
I really didn't think about why it should or should not be allowed...

Ban attatching halfsheets and casters directly to the chassis if you haven't already.

Also clarify what you mean by "CF and BFE" allowed since this isn't an IRL tourney. ( You really shouldn't be allowing cheatbot2 then too)

Halfsheets stick out of the chassis and have more than the given hp amount, so saying that is kinda pointless.  They're banned by the actual ruling.
However the point on casters makes sense.

Also edited for a little more clarity like you said.

Best Robot: Carbonize reminds me of what people thought of Warhead in season 5.  Beautiful and destructive.
Worst Robot: The living whacked.  Can't think of much else to say.
Coolest Robot: Easily Interplanetary.
Unluckiest Robot: Ouraunge II actually seemed like a good bot, but it got put against 2 very strong opponents.
Most Feared Robot: John the robutt had me so worried.
Best Battle: Night terror vs Double O vs Carbonize vs Wham-O.
Luckiest Robot: Even tough it's not a category, Wham-O should not have gotten so far.

Overall, it was all great fun.  Thanks for the tournament.

ETA on signups?
Whenever I hit 16 "Yup" votes on the poll.
So I'm expecting 3 weeks...

With all these horizontal spinners, the 1 (maybe 2 idk) drum bots might have an advantage...
And I'm just over here with my 2 teams of flippers. :dumb)

A huge step down from what  DSC has been making, but I tried remaking red devil.
The result had much to be desired.

The chassis shape, and skin bother me the most.  I might remake it later.

So we have
The turkey,  the chair, the punkin chunker, and the helicopter.
The chair outclasses them all.

So we use an outside source for that?
Well we might want to sticky that thread or something.
It seems kinda important.

« on: November 07, 2016, 03:15:25 PM »
Sure we have This thread, but it's 64 pages and hard to find specific stuff.
What I ask for is a section where people can upload custom AI .py files for others to use in AI their own robots.

Will an ironforge version of this be ok?http://asbestosstar.com/pacific-scrambler-ra2/
It is recommended you send robots through Private messages.

So 09 and I are the only shameless re-entries so far? (That have succeeded)
That's twice as many as I thought there would be.

Actually, I just flat out re-entered my robots from Sword of Glory/2nd Chance/GTM RW. So its 3 re-entries.
I was referring to entering 2 teams, not necessarily repeat bots.
 :ermm:
Don't feel like an idiot.  I hate that feeling too.

I have 2 grudge matches,

Galaxy evo vs Deathstalker
A rumble between Ourange, Double O, and Strawberry trapper.

If you only take one per person, do the rumble.
