this looks so cool. absolutely love the arrows pointing in and all the intricate detailing on the weapon support
Thank I really love the design of the bot. The weapon and weapon supports are especially nice. I feel like a different color scheme might work better with it tho.
As much as i also think that other colors would fit better, i just like myself some green stuff in life

Finally kicked myself into finishing the bot. Skinning is really not my specialty, and idk how to improve it better, so yeah Also if you zoomers wondered how i do internals, its kinda neat and crammed so its hell for me. Also no, the bot is not overweight, i have noticed that it was over 110 kilos so i made the top armor thinner

I just tried Aftershock. The 10S you are using is pretty high for drive. According to the Robot Wars wiki Aftershock uses 6S for drive. I wouldn't be surprised if you had overheating problems.
I swapped out the 10S for 6S, and it drives okay. I tried messing with the gear ratio a bit, and I'm mostly happy with it.
I'm also really curious to see how it drives using analog sticks on a game controller rather than a keyboard.
I should try using a controller for the bots tbh, i could give you feedback i suppose

[Added] Added Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) to ArmourMaterial. This is a material property that can be found online for any given material. It will be used together with the spinner's current KE to determine the amount of bite required for a "good hit". The idea is that harder armors require less bite. You would have to bite really deeply into UHMW in order to get a good hit.
I did notice a difference when a bot used UHMW to protect its front compared to Steel, so it works [Changed] Revised the motor thermal model to make overheating less likely. All motors in the game are now assumed to use NEMA Class F silicone insulation in their windings, rated to 155 degrees. This is based on testing with my Tombclone and the ME0708. The electrical system now includes both temperature-dependent and temperature-independent resistance. This paves the way for a more complete electrical model of the battery, ESC, and connecting wiring.
It is noticeable, the motors can be geared a bit higher now, which is good [Bug Fix] Angular momentum and moment of inertia were incorrectly reported after the MOI adjustment implemented in the most recent build. This drastically reduced the amount of impulse applied to the two objects when a spinner hit. Min and kix, I believe this was the cause of the "weakened hits". They should be restored to more than their previous amount of oomph. I will be adjusting them again now that there is a plan for spinner bite.
Again, fairly noticeable as vertical spinners are now able to self Right [Bug Fix] Resolution being downscaled on scene transition
This is still not working sadly, only place it works is in the multiplayer battle bot selection scene.

short, medium, and long. they should work fine from my limited testing, but no guarantees, and I probably won't fix them if there are any issues
was going to wait till I had the piglets and other motors done, but to be honest that's probably not going to happen. it's just a waste of time at this point with how the game/community is headed

Crashes occur mid match. How to replicate? Hit a bot. Idk if its the Robogames arena or the game, use the 2 bots i sent. If you want the arena, i can PM you the arena, as its not really planned to be released as of now so i wont post it here

Some feedback i suppose:
The gyro has improved by a bit
The hits are kinda still underwhelming and i still feel like the hits are delayed/not happening, the horizontal shell i made dishes out no damage, idk if its the speed or anything, but i guess i can drop the botfile.
The self righting with the disc is not working at all, when it hits the floor, it just slows down to a halt, ant then the motor overheats:
Also the game is more unstable, crashes are more often

Finally gave the build a proper go, and not a fast check.
So about the bite. I feel like there is a delay between a spinner's tooth collides with the opponent, and when the opponent is sent flying Gyro is ok, not the best, but im sure that it works like that in irl
Ive seen that titanium is added ingame, its all there for placeholder or? Atm It has no sparks unlike real titanium which sparks like crazy (its all about them spark effects that are melting the cpu)
I cant seem to break parts off, i assume damage is off because of the experiments with the spinner bite and gyro

This is far away from what i wanted to build. I was planning to add details, but eh didnt really want, due to lack of motivaion, doing other stuff, working and going to therapy sessions If you ask, i started on this bot back in mid april. Made the drisc and that was it till recently So why not just remove the green screen

I am an elitist. Or at least, that's how I will be perceived by the grand majority of the rabble that uses this website. Of course, I'm not actually an elitist, I'm a young man and a huge fan of IRL building, and certainly not your average "fan of IRL" that gets the giggles whenever insert generic zoomer releases their newest compilation of trite robots. There's many, and I do mean many, people who build IRL robots, millions and millions of people everywhere around the globe, they all build robots one way or another, on their phones, in the car, at work, wherever and whenever. But only a very small percent actually build robots, and knowing how to build clean and unique and compact robots is something that many never learn, and will never learn, simply because they aren't smart enough, or because they have an immature mentality, or because they are trying to impress others with sheer volume of known records, or because they use IRL as a background for other things (Yes you can do that, but then don't try to tell me you actually built something special, because you didn't get sh** from it), or because, or because, or because...
Or, because they don't know what IRL building is all about, and that still baffles me, how some manage to not understand that IRL building is all about... IRL building! Just building.
This is all nice and all but the fact that you left out the Armenian genocide was not very cash money of you

like seriously 2 dsl hammers on the end of your bot completely nullifies any horizontal spinner not using dsl hammers of its own. like i get its supposed to be the strongest weapon but i think its overpowered.
However what youre forgetting is that most tournaments dont allow that stuff

Tip: you can do texturing in blender, its such a less hassle than ra2 skinning
I've tried it before and it's always been a bit of a faff.
Idk, ive just used the UV export as an overlay in paint.net, and it did well, that is until i gave up when i did spawn again

I've also been working on a Centurion (s4) replica but I've temporarily stopped because it's a pain in the arse because a fair few of its texture map equivalents are at funny angles.
