I need to learn how to RR2 properly.  You're making literally everything I've ever made look like garbage.
Build like you would make stuff in CAD. Build a frame and then atrach stuff to said frame. Its like Extenderbots

Looking at these is how I imagine nooblets seeing a 36HS for the first time. I legit have zero clue how you built these using the tools in RR2.

Depends on the fluid. Are we talking water, motor oil, hydrogen peroxide, hydrochloric acid, or molten steel?
Even then, it depends. Is it salt water, fresh water, tap water, distilled water, fresh motor oil, used motor oil, etc... It also depends on quality too

the forks look a little thin imo
I was going for the shatter method, where the forks can really get under stuff, but are p fragile too, they were shorter, but the way rr2 works rn, the longer they are, the less chance of my bot doing a frontflip
i dont understand why the chassis goes above the discs but other than that it looks really cool
Unlike most of the times, there is actually a reason for this one. The bot is not invertible at all (i dont have space to make bigger wheels also, they would look out of place), so i have to use a self righter. Now the part is higher than the disc, so when my bot is flipped, the drisc doesnt hit the floor.

Also something to yeet off hori spinners.

Might make an eggbeater version of it later

here are my newest irl bots, both are CWs :)
(Image removed from quote.)

top: Backyard Terrorist - Inspired by Backyard Ripper, has a dual perm and NPC drive. kinda hate the skirt wings it's got but they keep it from flying around so i guess they are alright.
bottom: tokyo nights - first thing i made in like 6 months lol, some of the extender work hella sucks, but whateva. toxic flat motors btw for weapon power  heck
Honestly the only thing that bugs me are the flats kinda poking out on tokyo nights

Tbh as much as vid tutorials are great, i prefer the text way of doing stuff
I try following text tutorials but I end up missing something. I've tried following your OBJ tutorial so many times and it never works so video tutorials are better for me
Understandable

Btw can someone change the obj tutorial? I have made 2 of them and the proper, more newer one is in other tutorials section. Hell id be up for deleting the whole outdated one

Also seeing how new blender is a sh**show, yall want me to remake the tutorial with new blender sh** and possibly better explanation or yall are gucci?

good job covid man. although you should probably let people know that the vertices for the col mesh need to be welded
I think blender might do it automatically. Lenme check
Took me a minute, right? It does not do that automatically by default. You can set auto-merge on, but from what i see, once you make colmesh and dispmesh you can just hit ALT+M to merge/weld

But iirc i never needed to weld (maybe its needed for motors idk)

The 05July2020 Alpha Builds are up!

https://robot-rumble.itch.io/builds

[Short Summary of Updates in the July 5th Build]

NOTE - If you want to see the full gory detail of all of the changes, discussions, and hacks, check out #bug-reports and #feedback-and-ideas on our official Discord server.

[Performance Improvement] Colliders on all attachments are now combined into a single mesh collider.  This should substantially improve physics performance for complicated robots.

[Added] It is now possible to attach batteries in series to create arbitrarily high voltages.  Please note that voltage limits will be enforced in future builds!  Unlimited voltage will exist until we have pneumatics ready.

[Added] LOTS of new components.

[Added] Saw Bots vs High Impact Spinners - The game can now analyze a spinner to determine the location of its "teeth".  If you design a weapon with lots of teeth it will act as a saw bot and grind away when it hits.  If you design it with few teeth it will act as an impacting weapon, delivering a lot of energy in a single blow.

[Changed] The restriction on spinner speed has been removed.  The game now compensates for whatever physics tick rate you have set and computes the correct spinner response.  15,000 RPM antweight spinners should now be possible.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT THIS BUILD

If you are struggling to get your motor electronics working, please head on over to Discord.  We have an active community there with a channel dedicated to #rr2-support:

https://discord.gg/tXwYay9

Damage System - The damage system is disabled.

AI - Still mostly broken.  For the most part all the AI does is turn on its weapon at the beginning of the match and keep driving at the nearest opponent.  Once the new damage system has been straightened out we will redesign AI around the new approach to damage.

Once the game is mature enough we will be replacing all of the house robots with ones built in the robot workshop.  Any bugs that exist in the current robots will be completely replaced by entirely new bugs at that time.

I boot the game to check it once in like a couple of months.

But i cba as work is here and real Tarkov hours too

I haven't lost full interest in ra2. I just started doing other stuff which means less time for ra2

Not a bad design, imo the only gripe is that the weight is too much
Also i see that you tried to use the paint thing.
I also assume you are 空间飞龙 on discord

Redoing one of my old builds as now i have more skills

It doesn't really flip high but it does it job "kicking them away"

It doesnt look the best, and it most prob looks boring, but this bot means a lot to me. It was first actual competitive bot in RR2
