Modifications / Re: Redalert's AI packs
« on: April 24, 2019, 12:39:20 AM »
I just build 'em. I rarely fight them in times like these.
I made this AI pack rather quick, so these bots aren't the best ones I can make.

So you don't test the robots that you make? before you send them out as a Pack? Then Why should I spend my time downloading and playing an untested project?

I'd AI for him. I've fixed my methods to what the people here want

Okay if your fine with doing so...

I'm planning of doing something cool with this and I want to have some judges for the battles, as between 3 or 5 judges to judge the battles, since I don't find myself the best judge in the world so if people want to do so themselves feel free to let me know..    And with that, I'm keeping the same Judge Criteria as the Robot Wars one but changed it up a little which will be explained down below

Style refers to how well the robot entertained the viewers and demonstrated its abilities. One would lose points for style if it did nothing entertaining during the battle. Style is judged to be the least important of the criteria.

Control refers to how well the robot drove during that battle. It also gives weight to how much control the robot had over the flow of the battle. Ways to lose points for control include getting pushed around, and poor avoidance of arena hazards. Control is the 5th most important factor in a judges' decision.

Survival refers to how well the robot survives the match during and a the end of a battle. One example is 101 where it can get banged up a fair bit and take a lot of damage but keep going (vs Razor, vs Dominator 2) a battle. Ways to lose points on survival if the robot doesn't look like it is going to survive the battle. Survival is the 4th most important factor in a judges' decision.

Ending Match Outcome refers to how the match is ended by the robot when going to a judges decision. One example is when a robot flips another over when a battle ends (sorry couldn't find a good example, please let me know if there is). Ways to lose points is to be the one that is flipped over or something bad happening to it as the match ends. Ending Match Outcome is 3rd most important factor in a judges' decision.

Aggressions refers to how aggressive the robot was deemed to be during the battle, not necessarily causing damage. Aggression can only be outweighed by damage. Aggression is 2nd most important factor in a judges' decision.

Damage refers to the amount of damage inflicted on the other robot as a result of one robot's actions. Damage is the most important factor in a judges' decision.

Weighting of Judge Criteria:
DAMAGE. (Weight of 6) 1-5 points x 6 = score for Damage.

AGGRESSION. (Weight of 5) 1-5 points x 5 = score for Aggression.

ENDING MATCH OUTCOME. (Weight of 4) 1-5 points x 4 = score for Ending Match Outcome.

SURVIVAL. (Weight of 3) 1-5 points x 3 - score for Survival.

CONTROL. (Weight of 2) 1-5 points x 2 = score for Control.

STYLE. (Weight of 1) 1-5 points x 1 = score for Styles.

And that's all I got, but I'm feeling kinda iffy about Survival and Ending Match Outcome; tell me what you think.

I gotta highlight them and drag them to their rightful stop, and then I gotta make some folders for them because it doesn't come as folders.

Alright, it took me 2 hours to install the mod, because it didn't come with folders. I had to manually do it myself. But I'll do everything again if I have to..

Okay so I've just downloaded the DSL 3, and  when I go to create a robot, and click on motors when adding parts to the robot, the game immediately crashes.

And for Series 1, it's gonna have the same format as the real series one. But just changed up a little since there's nothing like the gauntlet for RA2.

Round 1:
King of the Hill:
Each robot will take a turn of where, they need to drive up to the centre. And they got to stay there as long as possible within 1 minute, while there will be some AI'd like House Bots will try to stop the robot from staying in the centre. The robot with the least amount of time staying in the centre will be eliminated.

Round 2:
FlexTop Sumo:
Pretty much the same as the normal sumo from RW, the shortest to stay in the circle within a minute will be eliminated.

Round 3:
Heat Semi Finals

Round 4:
Heat Finals

And for the Grand final. You'll have to wait and see what I have for that.

Ok, so I'll send you a pm about this. I really like the idea and I've been thinking about the same thing. Not with jaydee wars but something else.

Okay cool, yea I've always wanted to do this myself... BTW how do I check my pms? I'm new to this site.

Oh no, what I meant was to randomise robots from the entire Robot wars like from S1-7 and Extreme and that, and then place them into series one.

Like for an example

Heat 1:
Chaos 2
Razor
Eruption
Revolution
Grunt
Evil Weeval

And then I would make those robots and then I'll do heat A and such, if that makes any sense...
