What's the standard for ring spinners? I want to make a sequel to Mauler 51-50 and I can easily see it being a ring spinner.
This

This is what I needed. Thank you.

you need to have the wheels contained inside of the chassis, right now how you have it set up the wheels are way wider than the chassis, so theres no way the ring of the spinner would even be able to contact the actual chassis lol
sick ass ms paint drawing of what i mean
(Image removed from quote.)
So as long as the chassis has a makeshift "mounting point" for the ring to sit on, it's good then?

if want to make mauler, just have the top and sides spinning around a chassis. dont need to cut through anything.
But...I want Mauler to be an INVERTIBLE ring spinner. Being flipped over is Mauler's biggest weakness. The wheels beed to pop out on top so he can drive on either side.

I mean, we have ring spinners in RA2, but they kinda need to have intersecting components in order to work. My design for Mauler has the "ring" disc clip through the top of the wheels, whereas IRL they'd be surrounding them. Would that be ok?
Think you're just gonna have to build and showcase so we can see what you're on about tbh as I'm confused

Here's the design. If RA2 allowed for properly implimented ring-spinners, we wouldn't have the disk hold the spinning ring in place clip the wheels. But, since this is RA2, you gotta make do. Aside from that, everythign would fit the confines of IRL building. Also, would this design for the Mauler's spinning padlocks work? I initially was going to use beater bars instead of steel extenders, but I figured that might be deemed "weapon spammy"

Botbuster/MrBK/ForceOfWill all accepted!

Define "standard", ring spinners were around back when in the classic era I'm pretty sure.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSS!

And I thought Replica Tournaments were great. This is a BRILLIANT idea! It's basically IRL except I'll give more of a sh*t about ALL the competitors and their designs!

Nice!

Mmm,...these are some good replicas.

I may dump all the other replicas I've posted on Discord already, but for now I'm sharing this here because I like it way too much. There's still improvements to be made, like the round things on the flipper will need to be added, but I'm really happy with how it turned out:

Nice! You're like the up-and-coming new Resetti, kinda like how I was back in my prime.

Yaaaay, a robot with personality and character!
AKA having eyes  heck
Not just eyes, it ALSO has a head and upper mouth, practically a face. THAT'S personality. It was even built out of components rather than just plastered on as a skin.

Alright, time to do something possibly regrettable: The Cheatbot Component Challenge

I can't come up with any ideas right now, so I came up with this little game. You guys pick a SINGLE cheatbot2 replica component for me to seemlessly integrate into an IRL design. Whether it's, Wheely Big Cheese's flipper, Chaos 2's side panels, Tazbot's head, or even Sir Killalot's breastplate!

If it's a replica component that's NEVER used in IRL or DSL-S building due to how exclusive or broken these components are, I'm all in. The more interesting and niche the component, the better (I think)

To be more specific, I mean something like an IRL design that simply uses the Taz head or the Behemoth Junk extra or something. No super-specific details or instructions, just pic a random, niche component for replicas and have me apply it to whatever IRL design I can think of that will include it.

Any suggestions?

What happens when HUGE and Axe Backwards have a child together?

You get...this thing, a torque-reacting HUGE.

His name is MAXSIVE!!! and I plant ot enter this shoddy prototype into a tournament soon. Just not sure what tournament would allow this thing.

I knew it
Yes, the almighty Eric ALWAYS wins,

Oh I am SO entering this. Just gotta think of something extreme to enter and show off my replica skills...

Ok, so I ended up losing the file for Brad, so I made another possible entry for Orc's Wars 5's New Blood Tournament.

This is Mr.Twiddles. I still have yet to give him a proper skin, and I don't quite know what to make for him. All I know is that if any competitor embraces the spirit of IRL building more than anyone, it might just be this guy. Just look at that face.

(The tye-dye backdrop took away 400 kg, so just ignore the weight displayed in Botlab. The backdrop will be removed in competition.

Ok, got it, here's my first new bot:

Brad 1.PNG

This is Brad. He's a bit special, but I want ya'll to be nice to him. He's a WIP right now, I still need to get his skin and balancing issues fixed.

Brad 2.PNG

I plan on entering him into the upcoming Orc's Wars tournament. I believe he'll be well remembered, but not for being a good robot.

Brad 3.PNG

He's not the most serious of entries, but I've given up on winning tournaments. I'd much rather make robots that are actually MEMORABLE rather than generic try-hard IRL designs (like my old robots) that'll become forgotten champions.

What do ya'll think so far The main priority is that he's functional, has Deep Six's design, and has dashingly handsome looks.
