Nice, I love the "Lilly's Thoughts" section of the splashes. Nice to get an opinion from the tournament host.

I'm quite proud of the asymmetrical design too. In fact, I was so proud of it, I built another asymmetrical spinner, one just as balanced but way more powerful (and absurd) Whammotron 2000 45

Here's something a bit more original: A perfectly stable asymmetrical shell spinner artbot. It's main issue is weapon power and taking forever to self-right.

So, where do we discuss team stuffs?Yeah but the point of the tourney is that you build after signing up. You get into teams and discuss among yourselves what bot type each person is gonna do and then build a bot accordingly. Coming in with a bot pre built doesn't really work.Oops, too late, built a bot already. Oh well.Crap, I better enter something fast!Did you not read the giant bold text that says to not build yet? 48

Here's a bot I built under duress and forgot to post after the fact: Paranoid Anxiety. It's a LW Tombclone powerhouse with TWM drive, a Perm 80 motor, and I BELIEVE either 3mm aluminum or titanium armor.

This tournament's team concept is interesting to me. 50

Ok, I was a little over-zealous over that last post. I took pain meds for my chipped teeth, and it looks like last night I lost my freaking mind.
How do I know this? Well, shortly after that torque-reaction bot, I built this cursed thing: 55
DSL TC Showcases / Re: TommyProductionsInc DSL Showcase (Making History Edition)« on: January 02, 2021, 01:08:00 AM »
Ok, so here's a funny story of how I just made RA2 history on accident:
So I tried rebuilding the first DSL bot I EVER posted on here, Rolling Pin Of Doom. It used to look like this: And now it looks like this: You see those desert tan extenders that are supposed to mimic arms? Well, when I was testing this bot out and started it's weapon, I happened to also be moving the bot in the opposite direction of the drums, causing the extenders to torque-react. I tried a few more times and realized there's another way to make torque reaction bots. This led to me making THIS thing: This is the prototype version of "Flipping Crazy", which functions EXACTLY like a torque-reaction bot IRL could, with the assistance of drums acting as gyroscopes that move the opposite direction of the wheels if they move either forward or backward. No more did we need to use non-wheel components to make torque reaction bots. Then, I improved the design to use saws so it was more tourney-legal, and it ended up working BETTER. Now it can hit stuff with FORCE, and on the spot too! And with that, a new breed of bot is born. 56

Decided to recreate one of my old classic robots from years past: Mega Metallicus, who was able to reach the quarter finals in one of Freeziez Battlebots Tournaments. The try-hard nature of this design still resonates to this day, with it's Etek drive Ti10 armor, and potent weapon setup.
I'm thinking of recreating other classic builds I made back in the day too... 58
Tournament Archives / Re: War of the Weapons - signups now open« on: December 28, 2020, 06:15:58 PM »Signups have now been open for a month, and you are now allowed up to three entries if you want. Third entry must be a different category from your other two. I did consider closing categories that have four or more entries already, but won't for now as I don't have enough feedback to know if that's a good or bad idea.Noice. 59

In the 6 years I've spent playing this game, this is easily, by far, the MOST cursed robot I've ever made:
Cuban Pete: A MW shufflebot that I'll be entering to Keleimpel's Xtras Tournament. As per the rules of the competition, my entry is built from the chassis of one of the RA2 Extra Stock Robots (In this case, Forkie) |
