I wonder how is chassis damage calculated. It seems smaller chassis can handle less punishment. I going to experiment with wider skirt like chassis to see how it works.
Yeah it is, the bigger the surface-area the more HP the bot has, and thus the heavier the bot is

>We have a handful of folks providing us feedback from the RA2 community.

...Are they actually using GTM as a source?
Then how else could they recite our questions exactly to the letter ?

Lucky guesses?
For 5 straight Q&As ?

Bot file editing will be simple, it's a json file you can open with notepad or notepad++. Your bots are stored in your My Documents folder. Component editing is trickier than that and currently takes some knowledge of Unity and CAD, but it should be easier than RA 2.
???

Component editing in RA2 is basically either just editing vertices in notepad or using 3DS max to cad something up. Don't really see how different "Unity and CAD" is from how custom components are made in RA2.

They probably meant that since RA3 is much more detailed than RA2 thus custom components need a lot more polygons so that they can actually fit with the other components and not stick out like a blocky thumb, so it's harder to make the models.

not even the same bot-type dude.

Alright, so I re-did the test on the 1 SnapperII + battery setup that every MW HS uses, and :

They're pretty much equal.

Anyone wanna form a team? I just cant build in stock, other than that, I'm a'ight.
I'm really sorry to say this but no-one's gonna team up with you since your DSL/Ironforge bots aren't very good.

Thanks yugi.  And with that said,

Signups are now open.

Remember, A full trio is required, but if you don't want to build a bot in one mod, then find someone who will to help you out.

A deadline will be a secret for now.  Also, if you want to send a theme or a song suggestion for your trio, then go right ahead.  The only restriction: No copyrighted songs (i.e. Songs from Artists like The Who, Linkin Park, Eminem, Skrillex, or whatever you kids listen to nowadays), because the last thing I need is a copyright strike on my channel.  Everything else is fine.

ring arena is just as bad if not worse with bots just pushing each other around the edge of the arena
doesn't that help pushers and rammers ?

It's still really unbalanced though.

FYI, the RA2T#2 Arena and the DSL Tournament Arena are just the same arena but with a different skin, and they're not very balanced as bots can and will get stuck under the corner spikes/saws.

Guess what bot this bot's tributing.
skrzak
not even close

should I downgrade to normal Z-teks to get grannies and 2 snowplows ?
Snowplows make HS much easier for popups to get under. As long as it's invertible there's no reason to get grannies either.

The bot can't even drive straight
