Trust me, I know them feels. But you could save up, or get a job, and just get some steam credit when you can. I don't think everyone's gonna switch to ra3 right away.

What do you mean ? The hybrid combo ? It actually works pretty well since if the VS gets locked then the hammer can freely hit the top and if VS gets to lift the opponent then the hammer turns into a pseudo-popup and hits it's bottom.

It would be very strong in ironforge, due to pistons being extremely powerful in IF.
I think MR. AS made an ironforge bot with a similar design philosophy. I think I did too but never showcased it. The idea was to have a normal flipper, with pistons attached parallel to the flipping sheet to push the other robot forward as it's being flipped.
As for bot advice, your chassis is huge, shrinking that should be tour no1 priority I think
Why should I make the chassis smaller(other than making it harder for other robots to hit me)? This is a heavyweight and I dont' think that a smaller chassis would allow me to use the 800 weight limit. With that said I do plan to make a 1 flipper middleweight, since I prefer middleweights(compared to RW, LW is MW, MW is HW and HW is UHW). Pushing the other robot forward? so I guess it was basically the same setup except without directly having the pistons on the arms?
Shrinking the chassis lets you add more stuff to your not, like external armor (weapons advised) and more flippers

more on-topic: ORGYBEAR looks sick. i would keep the hpz's because the extra torque is nice, on another note you can trade the casters for frontal armour or weapons since the bottom spinners should knock away most wedges trying to get under. drive motors and wheels are kinda exposed
Yes you're right it is Happy Returns ! And no the bottom spinners can't knock away wedges and with a chassis this small I can't risk getting OHKOed.

I wonder how is chassis damage calculated. It seems smaller chassis can handle less punishment. I going to experiment with wider skirt like chassis to see how it works.
Yeah it is, the bigger the surface-area the more HP the bot has, and thus the heavier the bot is
