I still think the game is too raw. It gets boring very easily. Only time will tell what future changes will happen.

Checking in from Disney World.

ayy lmao

I hated that place so much.

Anyways thanks to my 20 year old brother who has no ****ing life shouting on his Xbox all night therefore causing me to have no sleep and the fact that I have a job interview in 5 hours, my anixety is through the roof.

I have anxiety issues too and I can say that it always works out better than what you're imagining in your head. Of course convincing yourself of that is hard.

Finally someone other than me manages to win when I participate. Also my presence in a BOTM is becoming too annoyingly obvious, lol
I planed on making my entry more Christmas like by having a small Christmas tree deploying and sticking out on the top. But I had only Sunday to make it happen and I was short on time so I hoped the splash could help.

Congrats Redline! I voted for your car

Really sad day for me and my family.

One of our cats have died today. She was only 2-weeks old. We have still 3 cubs left, but that ****ing hurts man. When I called my dad and he told the news, he was crying. I can't remember what was the last time I've seen or heard dad crying. Probably 10 years ago

tl;dr sh**ty day, trying my best to stay calm and not to get depressed

I also knew that feeling too well, m8. I say "knew" because I lost so many pets this last decade (most being cats) that I simply got used to it. That's the result of one single female cat that made around 150 cats (that number is not a joke). She's 13 years old now and reaching the end of her life, still "pooping" kittens.
Obviously we keep giving the excess cats to people that want them. I've seen enough mentally challenged, physically deformed, birth, road and illness deaths to give a damn anymore. Oddly enough I think I get more bummed if one of my praying-mantises dies, than if it was a cat.
It's not just me, my parents and brother have developed "cat death" immunity, lol.

Of course you're not me so I'm sorry, m8. A 2 week old kitten however, isn't as hard as losing a pet of years or decades.

I think ground vehicles are way less vulnerable than airborne ones, except against plasmas, imo. You just need 1 or 2 hovers/wings shot off to drastically reduce your performance in battle. That's not a problem if you're already stuck to the ground.

General Support / Re: Tips for dealing with AGOD in wheels?
« on: November 26, 2014, 05:35:38 AM »
DSL 3.0 wheels have attachments on both sides. I can attach 2 or 3 extra wheels and I have no issues.
I do agree with Naryar. I've built bots with very small chassis that would havoc for no apparent reason.

How do you decide what cubes to use for what tier?

And how do you buy the cubes? In bulk? When you need them?

I'm pretty poor so I don't wanna spend money on things I don't wanna use.

And what is the best way to make your tank mobile, hoverblades? Do you hide the hoverblades in the chassis somewhere?

When it feels right.
You can buy them either in bulk or 1 or in pairs or 5 or 6 at a time... That's really up to you. You need them as you go to higher tiers...
Money is there to be spent and pretty much everything is useful to buy, except headlights... Those are pointless.

Definitely hover blades but they can be quite unstable. It depends how you build your bot. Making the bot wide and with decent ballast below the blades like a ship's keel should keep it steady. It's advised to keep the hover blades protected in your chassis mainly from below and the sides. Hoverblades make a bot mobile but also makes it fragile. Hoverblade players in general are targeted first.

To make sense of the above answers you must first start with a design you fancy and you'd like to evolve around. Pick a weapon that suits you and your bot's playing style. Test your bot ideas in practice mode. When that's done start upgrading your armor and guns as you see fit. If you feel like you're getting up tiers faster than you can upgrade your bot, just downgrade your bot until you feel you're ready.

I agree, the skin is impressive.
Forget the robot. Make a box with that skin and you'll get great compliments.

Looking for people to play with and to teach me the tips and tricks.

My ingame name is orlp__, that's "orlp" followed by two underscores.

Hello, member-that-I-never-heard-about-but-contributed-to-this-community

If you take a look at the 2nd a 3rd posts immediately above your post you'll have some good tips for the game. You can also roam around the pages and find some scattered advices here and there, mainly from 123stw's, very useful ones. He's the Robocraft master of this forum. Listen to him

At the moment I'm not playing Robocraft as I rapidly get bored of it. I thought the walkers update could hold me to it but, meh... The game's still raw.

I started playing this game as well. Any tips for beginner like me?

Try following 123's armor tutorials and you're way ahead of most players

https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=15552.msg659594#msg659594

After that, pick the weapon that most fits your playing style and stick to it.

There's too much sarcasm in GTM. I don't know what's serious and what's not anymore.
I didn't expect this to turn into a serious discussion, I thought the last sentence was a dead giveaway.

As a very sarcastic person myself IRL, interpreting a sentence as a joke or not when it's not your main language is not easy at all, imo. Also it's the way a joke sounds that makes it a joke and here obviously I can't hear, only read. That's why I don't behave sarcastically behind a PC. There's always someone that will interpret a sentence the other way around.

Also you seem a far more serious member than most, hence making your posts more believable, to my eyes at least. Congrats, you fooled me, twice now.
I'll adapt.

No, didn't climb to the Eiffel tower, neither did I bring pictures or did I bought these small sh**ty eiffel towers they sell to tourists.

I went to Paris so many times when I was a kid and I never climbed the Eiffel tower, unfortunately.

It's been a while since my last trip to France. I usually did one every year. Now money's short.

anyways, thyrus should build more bots with flaws... Apparently it makes people comment like nothing before :O

Well when the build is good there's nothing to really say besides "nice" or "great bot" or anything along those lines. So from my perspective, less comments mean you nailed it.

First world problem for great builders: having your building standards so high that when you make a slightly more average bot it's considered bad.

Thanks for the code, Redline.  Though it says it's supposed to show your country flag it only shows that image.

Also it's been a while since I last posted about my always reliable IronClad. Now that I got a better hang of the new game mechanics, it continues to be a great flanking machine. It's lighter and faster than most vehicles out there. Good on taking out medics behind enemy lines or surprising any other unsuspecting opponent. Averages 2 kills per match.
