Off-Topic Discussion / Re: My PC sucks
« on: January 03, 2015, 07:46:24 PM »
Doesn't CCleaner get rid of everything? I think I had to use it before and I'm pretty sure I had to back-up a few things.

It doesn't uninstall programs if that's what you mean. It does erase temporary files, cookies, unused non-essential files and stuff. You can customize what you want to erase with CCleaner though.

S.H.I.E.L.D, how old is your PC? If it's new (between 4-1 year or less) faulty hardware is most likely the problem. If it's older than that, old hardware will start to fail.
A good start is doing what Naryar said. There's a chance that it will also make your USB ports work again. If that doesn't work, backup everything and format your PC. If that doesn't work either, old or new your hardware is faulty.

Also I strongly recommend Malwarebytes to get rid of pesky trojans and malwares. Like 99% of other similar softwares, there's a free and premium versions but the free version actually allows you to use it, there's no trial period and it's good.

Pc was a hand me down from my uncle. We've had it for about 2 years, I dont know how long he used it though.

Another problem is flash, adobe flash won't automatically display some images and almost always requires me to do it myself. Even then, it constantly crashes and my plugin thingy says there's something wrong with it. I'm assuming I need to install a newer flash programme?

If your adobe flashplayer was outdated, you couldn't watch youtube videos. Crashing is certainly not a symptom of outdated flash. It would instead promptly tell you that flash needed to be upgraded. There's no harm in trying, though:

Make sure you uncheck any optional offers.

Mine and Naryar's recommendations still stand, m8. Virtual and physical cleaning are recommended, if you haven't done the latter in a while (or never)

I'm surprised and flattered for getting votes, this year... or last year. My activity has been rather low in 2014.

Best New Host, Best Newcomer Forums Contributer and Best Overall Newcomer. I am very grateful to everyone that has voted for me, I've had a lot of fun so far.

I always thought you were an old member that returned, for some reason. Until now, lol.

Also Merry late Christmas and Happy late New Year!

its the thought that counts

Absolutely. It's just that it's such a fail in so many levels it gets funny.
Now I can say I have WoW. Can't play it but I have it.

My best female friend offered me 2 expansion packs for World of Warcraft for Christmas.

She failed to recognize they were expansions and I couldn't play them without the original. Worse yet she has some good idea of what type of games I'm into and fantasy games are certainly on the bottom of the list.
Worst even, she's offering the same gift to her brother (my best friend) and I know he isn't much into them and cant play either. It was sad but hilarious in a darkish kind of way, lol

I'm still single as well but I don't exactly mind too much, yet I'd like to have a girlfriend at times.

Same with me.
I had only 2 love interests in my entire life, actually. Unlike most of my friends with nearly a dozen

Found a "my little pony" show version that I would definitely watch.

More like neingag at the moment

Sorry man, can't do it. I have things planned for February and dying now is an inconvenient annoyance.

No girl at the moment, I take it ?

Nope. I'm free as a bird

I see one way to make it usable. When a vehicle uses treads it automatically buffs whatever armor cubes it carries, like a kind of bonus. So it sacrifices speed and maneuverability for extra armor, like a tank is supposed to be. Of course some limitations should be applied. Vehicles that have treads cannot equip wheels, hovers, legs, wings or jets to avoid exploitation. Nanos should take longer to heal them.

It's just an idea but I think it would suddenly make treads useful.

I suppose treads offer no benefit whatsoever.

Quite a while ago I posted this as my favorite video game music

Dynamite Headdy. It's one of the boss musics. For an old game I think it's a pretty awesome music

Now my brother did an epic remix of that music.
