So I'm getting a PC for my birthday, as I'm fed up with my laptop. It has everything I need... except a half decent graphics card. Therefore I'm getting a good deskop. What should I get? I'd like at least 3gb ram, 200GB of HDD or more and as good a graphics card as I can get, for £500 or less. I have no clue about buying PCs, so I'm not even sure if £500 would buy me a relic from 1995. In case it makes a difference, I have the monitor sorted. If possible I would like to avoid building a PC, because I'll all end up broken and in the bin with all the small bits missing. Also, nothing from Apple. I am putting XP on this thing and that's final.  Also, I'd prefer no Dell. Getting Stereo Mix on those things is a pain, and you can't record sound without it. *Note* Could you please tell me what kind of game I could play on these PCs? I mean, Minecraft doesn't require as good a PC as Crysis on max settings. I greatly appreciate your time. P.S. How could I transfer my ~100GB of crap from my laptop to the new PC? The largest USB I have is like 1/4 of a GB

Today, for no reason at all, WPC has started blocking ALL websites on my PC, giving the reason "Rating service is unavaliable", despite unrated sites being allowed.
I am running a scan ATM but nothing is showing up. Everything is blocked on all my browsers. I am on Vista, and currently on an ibahn connection, as I am on holiday (I.e. Unsecured, enter code or pay to gain acess to Internet.
My father is not having this problem and he too is on the ibahn network, same with my iPod
Can anyone help?

I've been trying to play SSBB on my laptop, and I've been trying this program called Dolphin. I'm not sure of my videocard, I have a Sony Vaio laptop, 3GB RAM, around 100GB of space left on HDD. I'm not sure if this can be fixed, and how to fix it. Strange how my Minecraft runs (slowly) with OpenGL on.

Well, I'm making an antweight, and I thought that I'd make a thread to track my prograss and so someone can tell me when I'e gone horribly wrong. I'm just getting the parts together, today 3 things came, the A3 sheet of lexan, the Battery and the slipper servo:    Still need: 2 drive servos (Need to order off haz!) IMO, the best of all the official RW games. I also have a fun challenge, kill SirKillalot. It's easy if you use mortis, sotry somone else. I have a dl for it in my sig, as it is a dead game, like RA2. 400MB, no viruses, came straight from my disc (My 1st ever PC game, still have it. ) Also, discuss any other points about the game, what you like, strength of bots, building tips ect.

I have been thinking about making a pair of robots from cardboard, a pair of flipper, little more than the size of an xbox cotroller, if possible. I was wondering what the cost would be, what tools I would need and where to get the parts. Not for any competition, just to mess around with. Like a cheap version of AntyB, if you have ever seen that, but a more generic flipper design.

I have just downloaded stock onto my new laptop, and I CBA to get DSL. So I am trying my hand at stock, even though I, usually, only try DSL. So, to start off, a MW HS, WTFbot, so named because if I rotated the HPZs into each other by the servos, it would havok out similar to the trinity glitch. IDK if anyone has experienced this before. DSA, of course: As always, constructive criticism is welcomed.

I was bored today, so I whipped up these two (horrific) logos for GTM in 10 mins, in the same dimensions as the original, at the top of the homepage. 1:  2:  So, I was wondering, could anyone make a good logo for GTM? I'm not saying the current one is bad or needs to be replaced, but it is something to do when bored. The only rules are that is must be 377 pixels wide by 98 pixels high, and must mention 'GameTechMods' or 'GTM' somewhere on it. I look forward to interesting entries, if anyone can be bothered at all

OK, so I don't have admin on my Vista computer. I just downloaded Fraps and Idon't want my parents to put the UAC code in every time I was to record, as they take 5-10 mins to even bother. Is there any way to make it so I don't need admin rights to start up Fraps all the time?

From my limited knowledge, 4chan is not so much a house for trolls, more a troll factory. A huge hate machine with some Menes thrown in. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Before I start, can I say that I had no idea where to put this thread. So I put it here.
I was wondering how I could get myself a page on the wiki. Is there any special Requirements, such as post count or the requirement to have achieved an important achievement? Do I make the page or does one of the wiki adimins do it? Sorry for the noob questions.
