How the henhouse does your game not crash? Seriously, other than the Ring Ring battle, all of Vespins matches would've destroyed my computer.
The Crash Patch I made specifically for this helps. And I've gotten a few crashes when recording, but nowhere near as much from previous Deathmatch tournaments. Really, it was the Binary Star Systems that were giving me the most trouble in the Grand Final Matches due to some rampant havoks here and there. But that was about it.

Round 1 Match-ups are now up! Hopefully, I will be able to provide those by at least next week, so you've got some time to predict.

At last, the Grand Final for Deathmatch 3 is now up! Look, this isn't me trying to be lazy, but it's the finals. Go watch them if you would like to know what happens. And that's the end of that chapter. I unfortunately won't be doing any grudge matches due to a lack of time on my end, and as for Deathmatch 4? Almost certainly going to happen, but it won't be happening until a little bit later since I have another tournament to complete first and that will take quite a bit of time.

Well, better late than never, but we're finally here. Sorry this took even longer. Much like Deathmatch 2, a somewhat busy life can hamper free time for tournaments. Handling two tournaments at once is much more difficult than when I first thought, especially one as complex as this. So, let's get the ball rolling now. Match-ups, Videos, and Rankings will be posted weekly, but I will do everything possible to record everything within this week. Won't be easy though. SURVIVORS:
Why not lift. vs Patheticus
Dusk Runner v EoS

the challenge comes from doing it with two extenders for weapons but it's still a nice build
knew i was missing something. red ace you cheater
that wasn't listed in the quota :c Also I was really scrunched for weight, as I was just off by 1 claw. Not only that, but I had to find a way to make the chassis weigh like 17kg, and there was just no way I could squeeze that in with the setup I did. Oh well.

Try a 5ztek, 45 claw HS..
I decided to give this a try as well. Was Brainstorming the math at work and just did a simple setup to keep it easy for building. Doesn't do too bad actually. I thought it might be mediocre or lose it's weapons due to the motors being half the power of HPZs, but seems to keep enough of its weapons for the war of attrition. I might even get experimental and see if I can get maybe a 6 ZTek HS but only a 42 HS and see how far I can go with that. Nothing too spectacular aside from that, but I guess I managed to do it so yay(?).

Been playing for over a decade, and still do play this day obviously, but with a much less passion than usual. It feels like it has nothing left to offer or I feel like I've done all I can possibly do. I try to keep up with the forum as a whole, but much less than I ever could. Hosting tournaments keep me going more than usual building at times, but it can really burn me out later down the road. Sometimes, even those are bittersweet to me.

Gonna celebrate RA2's 16th Anniversary a little late, but eh. I didn't have much anyway, but I got a couple SCAI Inspired builds, although I'm not entirely sure if they could be completely fit to be full-on rebuilds, cause some I probably went a little too far off track with how the original build was. Kinda revealed this one yesterday, but I feel I should show it regardless. As stated, it's most likely a good bot, but as a Spikefan bot, maybe not as much. I did want to implement the spike wedge and Dual VS design. At least I tried to keep it kinda unique. Time Pixie I took some liberties from the Piston-Sidehammer idea, but making a separate Poker/Sidehammer hybrid would be interesting, but I don't think it would help make a good design due to the counter-intuitiveness of it. Not much else to say to be honest. Infernium is strange for me, but I think I implemented enough details from the original bot to feel it would be an appropriate rebuild. 2WD, VS with alternating weapons from the original, Ramplate armored front sloped wedge, the works. But it feels too different at the same time. Kraken I feel kinda proud of, but out of all these, I feel this is the least inspired from the original idea. Not entirely sure what I could do to make it better against non-HS at this point, which is what Pokers kinda suffer from. At least they're kinda good on their own merits, so as a builder, that might be an accomplishment.

The last two Starcore AI rebuilds are pretty sick. I also kinda like how you kept the authenticity for Spikefan, probably a lot better than how I made my approach.

Heat F of Deathmatch 3 is now up! Division A Battle 1: Apparently I still suck at bot making. Making the wedge too steep to really do anything against Royalty was something I didn't prepare for. No I totally didn't think of entering Banisher after the success of Solar Storm. What are you talking about? Division B Battle 1: The one area End-It can stop Bad Company was in the front. Well, that was kinda weird. Division A Battle 2: Well, I guess either my flipper was too weak to do anything, or Ring Ring just got lucky that Banisher didn't flip it out of the arena. Well, back to the drawing board for me again. Division B Battle 2: Bad Company lost a wheel and from there he was curtains. Had to implement the count there cause Bad Company was long dead after the fight in the recording. Division A Battle 3: Normally I'd call an upset on the second seed as well, but A: If I learned anything from DM2, is that seeds often get lucky and get eliminated in the heats, and B: Royalty wasn't prepared to fight Ring Ring in the slightest. I guess due to fighting a ring spinner with an exposed chassis and open tires, it was slightly expected. Division B Battle 3: Same situation as Ring Ring vs Banisher. Kinda strange to see looking back. Heat Final: A war of attrition came down to who lost their teeth first, and Ring Ring made it look easy. Also wrapping up the heats with an all spinner Grand Final. This seems familiar...

Heat E of Deathmatch 3 is now up! Division A Battle 1: This was surprisingly quick, rather clever from the Christmas Twins. Almost seemed human-like, even if it's just AI. Division B Battle 1: More and more surprises looking back, as Pulse took advantage of the giant chassis on Lynx as it was on its back. Pulse almost looked like the surface was rather untouched. Division A Battle 2: Both bots certainly annoyed each other, but Banshee was still pretty aggressive and turned SK on it's back multiple times, so it looked stronger for the Judges decision. Division B Battle 2: Lynx was really in a spot of desperation to get on the board, so beating Dambuster in a KO was it's only option, and succeeded flawlessly. Division A Battle 3: Banshee was not the KO type, but the wheels were exposed on the Christmas Twins were exposed. If only they weren't so fast, and Banshee wasn't just using a drill, and the Christmas twins just really good at being annoying. You know what, Banshee was pretty screwed, at least one of the twins accidentally rolled out of the arena, but by then, the die was cast. Division B Battle 3: Welp, despite the accidental spoiler before the match started (I knew I would screw up in post again one day >.<), I think Pulse was gonna be too strong for Dambuster anyway. Heat Final: This was Pulse's Heat to lose from the very beginning, and It's very evident in this match where the Twins couldn't even pin down Pulse.

Welp, so much for that. The pit is just garbage for push-bots it seems.
GG.

tfw you couldn't find your showcase originally but then you realize you forgot you became a vetWell BOTM is over, and I think y'all know me by now so no point in not showing it I guess. Most certainly a joke-bot, but somehow it's actually kinda decent. I kinda made a similar bot a few years back, but that was a SHW. So I thought to find a way to scale it down to HW cause HW's are still quite fun. I almost forgot I even made that thing looking back, and how awkward I was trying to relive the past as if I was actually there. Being an adult kinda sucks, even If I'm not that old. Anyway, so the bot is also kinda inspired by Click's Swiss Army Bot as well, but to a more wack degree cause of all the other bot types crammed in. Some don't work as well as others and some are overridden due to the combinations, but it still kinda works. Certainly kept myself on the theme of "do everything" which would explain why the skin is mostly using all the texture and edge selections, and why the splash has this magazine letter collage. It's as strange as you would imagine, which was the goal.

Heat D of Deathmatch 3 is now up (Actually it's been up for about two hours now but I completely forgot to even say something so whoops)! Division A Battle 1: Apogee put up a really good fight, but it just could get itself to flip Legacy out, and losing so many parts really took away from Apogee in the second half of the fight. Division B Battle 1: Halcyon had these gyro issues upon testing, I did let Hoppin know about this, but I don't exactly remember when we agreed to put in back in, but we would agree some entertainment would come out of it. Good thing Halcyon only had to drive forward against Wacko for a majority of the fight. Division A Battle 2: Apogee was taking a lot of control and aggression for the fight, although the AI just randomly flipping the weapons still made no sense, but it sadly cost Apogee its battery life, and here's one of the first times I actually had to make an immobility counter. Hopefully I can make it work for the rest of the series now that I actually had to formally use it (Looking back I will have to tweak it a bit so it actually counts down in seconds). Division B Battle 2: Vespin just murdered Wacko. End of story. Division A Battle 3: The decider of who would make the Heat Final. Red Mist unfortunately was not designed at all to fight Legacy, so this was a stacked battle to be had. Division B Battle 3: This is where the gyro issues would cost Halcyon and sadly, it was putting up a really good fight against Vespin as well. I knew the heat was rather stacked, but I didn't damn. I didn't expect such back and forth battles initially. Heat Final: This would be decided from the initial clash, and Legacy wasn't able to fight back after losing a wheel. Was hoping a heat like this would have a more climatic ending, but sadly no.

I would still prefer something like the BBEANS V2 Arena if just for a hazard that actually tests turning or wedge capabilities of the AI. I also agree with the arena for IF being enclosed or banning flippers entirely. If possible, maybe the ELBITE arena could provide the best of both worlds? Hell, maybe just give every meta a unique arena designed with it in mind so that each tournament feels a tad more unique. Just a thought.

I mean, if nothing else, I might be able to chip in and offer a hand. Maybe with at least one section of the tourney.
Also, this is more a suggestion, I get diversity is nice and all, but should we at least try all metas with just a HW weightclass? It's probably the most popular weightclass, it's simple for hosts, could provide some entertaining matches, and give the builder a good amount of freedom in design to be honest.

Heat C of Deathmatch 3 is now up! Division A Battle 1: Not only was the Flipper variant a good call for Darwinian Predator, but Rest in Pieces was way too top heavy to do much, but RIP was capable of doing some crazy damage. It's just a shame the tongue of DW managed to stop it. I would call foul if DW didn't control pretty much most of the fight to begin with. despite the few scratches DW took. Division B Battle 1: The Multi-bot battle! I was actually looking forward to this, and it was rather hectic trying to keep up. Once Extraterrestrial was down, Starman was just out. Romeo & Juliet were dominating the control, despite Juliet getting somewhat crippled. Division A Battle surprisingly Rest In Pieces wasn't getting under anything despite having the hinged wedge as well. Poor Bild couldn't catch a break and Hyperboit was taking advantage of such. I'm surprised I didn't trim this fight down as well. Oops. Division B Battle 2: Oh man, Starman gave small trouble to R&J, so Craplectric was gonna have the field day from the start. Craplectric may have gotten pushed a bit, but not much was truly done. Taking one of the two bots out really put R&J in a corner. Division A Battle 3: This was the decider for the spot in the final. And DW got bullied from beginning to end. Doesn't help the AI and Jaw weren't putting two-and-two together for DW to save itself. #AIProblems Division B Battle 3: Craplectric was getting another easy battle from the multi-bot picking, and Extraterrestrial was just not pulling it's weight to help. Also Starman pulling a Top by spinning around for most of the fight was humorous. Why does RA2 seem to do this for VS? Heat Final: Pure wedge war... sorta. Craplectric just had to get under Hyperboit once to seal the deal, and sealed the deal it has. The draw was somewhat lucky for kix, but will his road in Grand Finals look as generous?

Uhhhh..... This feels more like a proof of concept style of HS than anything really. I guess this was a Mr. Hell bot from Starcore AI V3. An undercutter 24HS. Kinda wanted to keep that style and get the weapons to actually all hit and do some actual undercutting, and give stronger armor. So it has some top and bottom armor, and the plows seem wide enough to not easily expose the wheels. Why this style of weapon formation? Well, Geese actually did this kinda same style for a Bitter Box rebuild a year ago, and wanted to kinda keep the same style for the other bots in the team. Also kinda gives the "Devil's Horns" kinda vibe as well, so I guess that's neat. Also even if I did have the 24 kg, im not entirely sure what exactly I could use beyond at least maybe two casters. Also side note, the extender work is something I'm kinda iffy on. It took a while to come up with it and get it actually done, but I don't even know if this was my best work as well.

Heat B of Deathmatch 3 is here! Division A Battle 1: There were some cuts for a reason. This was a rather boring fight, and the only real thing that happened was Bleed Blue losing a wheel, so I had to give a decision to Tidal Wave. Division B Battle 1: Rooster got a bad draw against a Spinner that can chew away at the wide sides. Unfortunate really. Division A Battle 2: Boring pushing fight. Catalyst had moments of it juggling it, but still the spike flying away from Tidal Wave gave the real nudge in here for me. Division B Battle 2: Some good flips here and there, and Angle's Heaven just couldn't fight back after getting stuck on the wall (maybe if the AI for flippers weren't so selective to say the least). Division A Battle 3: Bleed Blue had it rough from the start, and Catalyst on it and after it. Division B Battle 3: I was honestly impressed that Angle's Heaven was able to fight back and get some flips in. Yet it's sides was just way too exposed. Heat Final: Not gonna lie, I thought this was gonna be Banshee 3's fight to win, but turns out the drums of Catalyst can take advantage of the low weapon count on Banshee 3, so that's something. (Yes this match-up was inside the intro, and just a mere conincidence that these two actually did get into the final.

not sure if my bots being tested and beaten for a splash is a good thing or not
Good to see you back to building dude, looks like ya still got it. Solid build overall, if a tad generic. If havok seems to be a big issue, the only thing I can suggest is a vertical snapper setup rather than a horizontal one, cause most of my horizontal setups tend to either AGOD, havok like crazy or both. Though it might feel like you might have to sacrifice armor to do so, or maybe not depending on if the extender setup I guess.
