Off-Topic Discussion / Re: TL:DR Ra2 is sucky
« on: September 02, 2019, 02:05:24 PM »
how could i resist a thread title like this...

first off: kill, you were the best and did the best you possibly could. problem was the community undermining you constantly with sh**posting across the internet. i cared about this community even after i stopped caring about the game (hop's right btw, nobody will ever 'fix' it, but it can still be fun), but didn't feel welcome here anymore. and that's become synonymous with the brand of gtm - a place where outsiders of a certain clique feel unwelcome. i don't know who, if anyone, is to blame. but that's not the point. i pop through every now and then out of nostalgia but haven't played the game in a long time and have no real desire to.
bridges are burned between this place and, let's be real, most others. it's either time to move on, or time to let someone come through and really shake this place up in the biggest way possible.
but yeah tl;dr go build a robot and idk slowly you start realising gtm ra2 whatever... don't matter...
bye xo

Their Kickstarter went up today, and for 24 hours only you can grab the £75 tier for 60% off.
Think it's important the entire robot combat community supports all ventures like this and RR2 - after all, a runaway success could mean certain UK shows being revived... who knows :)

Wondered what the forum thought of this game... And couldn't find a thread. Now in open alpha with 4 different driveable bots, online play coming tomorrow I think?

Got a super arcadey feel which I'm totally down with, probably more than a building-focussed game these days. Great fun and should be awesome online!

Bugglebots is an upcoming beetleweight web series, airing in December on YouTube

You can find more out on the Bugglebots website
www.bugglebots.com

Those of us that were there for filming can attest to how much of a fantastic time it was and honestly, it'll be worth watching. Awesome fights and great production too!

Also I finally got to meet Nate so das good.

Several GTM entrants so tune in to see how we all do ;)

It's the same disc from the original BB series, been used all this time. They knew there was a small crack in it after the Minotaur fight and were aware of the metal fatigue so pretty much knew it was a matter of time!

K isn't a useful contribution dude come on...

Unfortunately the RW mod has very little traction in terms of showcased bots here. Most people, if they use the mod, just utilise the provided replicas. Why not start a showcase in the Custom section of the forum to try and start that change? :)

Very worried this is going to be a quiet one. Has taken the most organising by far but we'll see 🙂

Over the summer I'll actually be upgrading it with a 270degree servo so we should have a decent shot at self righting!
