The issue still persists, and at this point I'm probably just lucky that Dizzy Bees doesn't glitch at all. Then again, I'm not too particularly miffed about the bot not working out as a Vortex CE rebuild. I could have sworn I've seen another rebuild but it's nowhere to be found in the SCv4 threads.

Literally just mirrored Dizzy Bees' setup to try to "improve" Vortex CE. Seemed fine in the test garage, but turns into a pickle the moment I try to spin the weapons. I'm too lazy to figure out how to separate the drive from the weapons while keeping the bot symmetrical.

If the wedges get taken off, it'll be easier to scoop up spinners. This is more of an issue since your snappers are exposed. Otherwise you can just widen the lip the base of the wedge so part of the snappers and extenders are hidden.

Nah ram plates are the real spinner food. A razor rack deals much more damage and can take out tribars if it can properly pin a spinner.

My only suggestion is to ditch the blades and make the chassis wedge shallower and rotate the snappers so they're hidden beneath the wheels.

Yeah that's generally how the game looks on my laptop.

I'm guessing that the game doesn't know what ratio to take on when it tries to go fullscreen. Let's try this instead:

If you have Notepad++, use that to edit ra2.cfg (if you don't, go download it). Towards the end of the code, edit the lines to the following -

FSDisplayHeight=1080

So I guess it can range from 11'' to 15''. Are you at least able to change the resolution? What's the highest resolution it can offer?

Sorry if I'm only providing workarounds rather than the actual solution. This is most likely a laptop-specific problem and we're not sure what other details to ask for to help resolve this issue.

What's your screen size? I'm currently making do with 1024x768 on a 14'' screen.

Is it that hard to play RA2 in windowed mode? Unless your screen is too tiny, the only thing annoying in windowed mode is RA2 crashing when you don't close a dropdown list quickly enough.

Yeah the plow alignment thing was what spurred me to rebuild Mome Rath. But for some reason, every time I snapper load, the stuff would just swing along the snapper arm's axis of rotation and never horizontally. Maybe I already had too much stuff there already to glitch elsewhere.

Meanwhile, I got the Dizzy Bees thing done:

Technically this should be lighter by 1 kg and Mome Rath by 2 kg since I used a Y instead of a T-connector. Wasn't sure about using maces and irons over razors but I stuck with it since I needed a mace to protect the snapper extender and the math just checks out perfectly for 24 kg per arm. Then again, I could go the 60 cm extender + 2 razors route but I'm too lazy to redo the math.

Was supposed to build this about 2 days before Back to Basics starts, but the slots filled up quicker than I thought so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mome Rath - DSA, 1 black, & 799.3 kg. Could downgrade to plastic but I'm too lazy to redo the math for the new weapon allocations. Technically I could find a way to use shinies as well as a wider plow setup but snapper loading with the max_sphere cockblocking all my attempts is a pain in the ass.

Also I found a setup here that I could probably use on Dizzy Bees, so I guess that's next.
