It seems a lot of GTM has been updated.  Such as the entire RA3 section being removed.

Just combined with the Robot Arena 2 section to form 1 single, convenient "Robot Arena" board.

It still has independent showcases, the remaining sections were not popular enough to warrant the space they took up.

Its cleaner this way and you only have to go into each section once to read all the RA2 and RA3 topics :)

So if I understand it right from the splash.. #2 has the skull inside the pumpkin.. then the skull pops out of the pumpkin via piston?

If so thats some really cool attention to detail.. id imagine the pumpkin itself was challenging enough..

Props to whoever did it.

Just FYI.. the Moderator permissions group cannot Ban or Edit profiles anymore.. that ability has been gone for some time now...

We can still see all your IP addresses.. so er.. behave or else?

I wanted to give some more variety to the field with how many hammers there are in the stock AI. VS felt fitting as the re-stocked Grog was rebuilt as a VS.

Oh okay.. its a little odd to give Grog the free kick while Sage got stuck with mandatory bear claw hammers but hey.. better Sage then me

I think Tornado and Grog are going to be hardwork for a lot of robots, depending on how efficient some of the trapper designs are..

I must be missing something?... why is Grog a Vertical Spinner if Deadbeat, Bear and Iceberg, etc all had to be built as Hammers?

Well I had something.. but the final version seemed to fail miserably in the end.. Ive been trying to thrash around and make something halfway decent but couldnt get much to work..

Sorry about that, but know that I tried to make the deadline in the form of half a dozen prototypes..

Be interesting to see what others came up with for Wedgeless Hammers.. it had me pretty stumped..

I should have something bang on the deadline day if I know my timezones right lol but it could also be a few hours late so dont replace me quickly haha

Im currently away from my computer for a few days :/

Remember, you have until the end of this month to get all your entries in. If you care at all about the stigma that the forum has been getting for being dead, try to enter at least one category.

I will try to get something into the stock category it wont be wonderful but hopefully it at least looks good going out in a blaze of glory :P

I dont know if ill manage the other 2 categories, I havent even ported Ironforge and Retooled to Mac yet so im well behind schedule to build for those.

Gave this thread a little clean :)

Thanks to Battlebotsboy for digging out the footage, I remember reading about it some time ago but never saw the footage.

I dont think this has been picked up yet?

3 Rumbles (Raw footage) have been put up on the Battlebots youtube channel

https://www.youtube.com/user/battlebots

Also Hexbug has released the battlebots line, the R/C ones can be bought single, in a pack or with the arena.

Win was a nice surprise but more importantly thanks to everyone who participated and supported BOTM and MNB for putting it on, entry count looked a lot stronger this month, lets keep it that way :)

Warfare looks incredibly bland/unorigial, but all the plebs will vote for it because everything else is awful.

Not really the most unique thing ever, but still attractive.  My mind is thinking Joey or Badger built this.

Am I missing something or Did strafing become trendy in my absence? few years ago I was pretty much the only guy crazy enough to use it :P

Then again, I think this is the third BOTM I have won with a strafing robot.. so maybe im making myself bland? lol

did something change in Stock? Last I remember Shinies don't work when the motor notch is upward like that

Works reasonably enough on this setup for its purpose, not as quick as the other 2 motors but gets the job done.. grannys were too ugly

The only bot that looks like it might actually have taken advantage of component freedom (though it could just be really good stacking with regular glitches).

Nope just barebones stock on board, snapper loading and eFFe and some decent luck on the stacking. :)

Oops yeah I forgot about the web series they also had..

Yes I meant when Samantha, Chis and Kenny talk about this screen before passing over to Faruq

That seemed to be cut a lot in post production

I wouldnt swap out Chris and Kenny for anyone,

I still think they are great fun and pretty on the ball with it (at least more than once they picked up something I didnt notice right away)

The only thing I noticed this year was the "tale of the tape" section was cut out a lot (I assume in editing as the graphics were on the screen behind them)

All in all though, ABC just needs to give it some priority timeslots and they will have Robot Combat gold, this year was brilliant

Ive always felt that the rule of 7 was kind of the art to stock building?

I get its not everyones cup of tea but If anything your likely to see more weapon spam without the rule of 7

Times change I guess :)
