We now have a download link! (In the first post) I tried uploading it to GTM's download section but I got an error so I hope dropbox is okay (If someone has data to kill they can always try uploading it to the site) Minimum Requirements are Yosemite and an Account with Admin Privileges (I tested it on a clean Yosemite and seems to work) The first time you run it I few bits and pieces will pop up quickly (Just wine setting up camp) and the application will run under the name Wine.. then every other launch after that will run with the name Robot Arena 2. :) Nice! I'm unfamiliar eith how OSX works but would this allow for easy "file browsing" to add stuff (mods, bots, etc.) as the standard Windows RA2 does? I'm taking "Ready to Run app" as being basically a single exe rather than the whole folder structure you get in Windows.
Yep, At first I feared modding wouldnt be possible but it seems happy enough to accept them No more difficult then Windows Navigation.. just need to know where to look. Crash Course: Mac's contain all the data, files, and the program itself, etc behind that programs singular app icon (which is actually a little more simple then windows).. You can either left click the icon to run the game or right click (Control click for purists) to access the files. Robot Arena 2 > Contents > Resources > wineprefix > Drive_C Ready to run refers more to no other 3rd party software is needed, ive compiled all the resources :) I will make a DSL one when we are sure stock is all running bug free

I have barely ever touched Linux so I really couldnt help you sorry,
Basically the Ready to Run app contains the RA2 data, pieces of a windows XP file structure and pieces of Wine that is needed to emulate Windows XP enough to have RA2 run.. Wine provide most of the tools.. I just compiled it all together, added my personal touches and created the application image. :)

There is a minor script issue with 2 tournaments which carries over from DSL 2.1, IIRC "Crushers" tournament will have the same error. If your curious about what the issue is specially on the coding side of things visit this.. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=2442.0Or if you just want the quick fix (although keep in mind that patch is now 5 years old?) https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Events.zipThat is assuming DSL 2.2 runs the same tournament folders as 2.1. Happy Patching! :)

I must be the only one thats a little disappointed in that final..
the decision itself was a tough call (although I feel like Bite Force was cleverly disguising some immobility at the end) and the bite force guys seem really nice but I always feel like its a little sour when someone just drops on a solid piece of armour and rolls around the for win.. I get its a good strategy but at least Bronco was willing to try and mount some offence..
That said, I think the series as a whole can be considered a success.. very enjoyable, bucket loads of action, I hope this is the beginning of more episodes in the future

Wow witch doctor was a massive surprise.. that could have passed for the final with all those massive hits and suspense
Shame Ghost Raptor is still in this when so many good robots are/were stacked on the left bracket... I mean its basically a stick with wheels at this point, it was a strategy yes, but a great deal of luck that Icewave has a history of imploding.
I never knew there was an OOTA zone either..

Icewave v Chomp went pretty much as expected...
Warhead vs Stinger was actually a lot of fun... it was cool getting to see a bit more of how warhead works and moves, especially the head angle.. Im surprised they went full throttle into stinger.. I felt like they could have put up a stronger fight if they tapped into Ian's normal tactical driving and ate some wheels.. but then again Warhead isnt quite as nimble as Razer.
Very surprised Warrior gave out so easily? considering in the past its gone toe to toe with megabyte and nightmare and been able to keep it together... I kinda hope Icewave scatters Ghost Raptor across the floor, the guy annoys me haha
Bronco v Plan X was expected too.. Bronco may actually be a dark horse here.. looks pretty solid and the screws and seemingly eliminating robots quite easy when they get tossed on them

My predictions for the next rounds.. hard to say with some that didn't get a full match broadcasted..
Bronco v Plan X (Straight in, Straight Out) Radioactive v Tombstone (Feel like Tombstone will separate the body segments rather easy) Stinger v Warhead (I love Warhead so much but I think this will look much the same as warheads first fight) Ghost Raptor v Warrior Clan (Both HS/Flipper robots Feel Warrior has much stronger weaponry plus flanking flamethrowers) Overdrive v Doctor/Shaman (this ones close.. I have to go with the stronger arsenal here) LockJaw v Overhaul (Could go either way, Down to personal preference feel like Lockjaw would be more entertaining down the road) Hypershock v Biteforce (hard to tell not seeing much of Hypershock but think Biteforce can handle it) Chomp v IceWave (That bodywork with all those edges is asking to be ripped away :P)

Yeah not dead.. I would have posted some kind of update post but I dont know where the sign ups thread went :P the best solution to run RA2 on a Mac is not using a Mac
Mac's has all my fun editing stuff though :P once I get the game running smoothly itll all be good :)

I was quite surprised today to hear Robot Wars Live for the first time in Australia at the annual EB Games Expo in Sydney http://www.ebexpo.com.au/robot-wars/Quite cool to see them reach Australia, Sadly Sydney is on the exact opposite side of Australia for me (and its not exactly cheap to travel), whats even sadder is I will be travelling to Sydney and staying in a hotel right near where the expo is held... less then 2 weeks later! But still nice to see Australia get a bit of love, who knows where it'll lead

I've always been very happy with the results of using the Boot Camp program that comes with OSx.
It will partition your hard drive and install a native windows OS onto it. At startup you just select which OS you want to run.
only issue is with moutain lion boot camp only supports windows 7 minimum. Which i wanted xp support to run older 3DSM programs. That and I prefer the native mac with just windows in a little window :P I might give wine a go before I try boot camp

Does anyone successfully run RA2 on their Mac?
I mean using a virtual process, im currently trying to engineer RA2 to run on OSx but im hitting a lot of brick walls so in the meantime I want to just be able to run the game virtually so I can continue with my other mods, etc.
I installed XP on Virtual Box but it refuses to run RA2
So who else has done it and what program did you use? just to save me going through the OS install process a bunch of times with different programs :)

I use GTM on mobile much more then I do on a desktop.. infact im doing it right now.
I usually prefer not to have mobile sites.. I usually switch on "view in desktop mode" for most

This is one of those genius ideas that makes me feel so stupid because of its simplicity :P
I dont know how many times I used the largest smartzone with collision mesh's turned on for a cheap quick creative preview image and it never occurred to me.
