Yeah I didn't think about how the bot would need to fully deweaponed before the plows would break so a downgrade would help a lot weight wise. Also if its flipped it kinda hobbles around on the weapons if it gets high centered on them so it won't get counted out unless the hammers and tribars are ripped off
you could potentially add on 30kg hammers but i'm not convinced hammers are all that amazing in IF (on spinners anyway). you might wanna use smaller tribars or disks and try a chained weapon setup like this but that would make it a lot more bumble happy since the individual weapons are easier to take off.

yea it needs ballasts imo

i would lower the plow strength and use it for more weapons mainly. you also don't necessarily need tracks (they're heavy) but its your call. looks pretty alright though. does it die if flipped?

sorry about the bot i entered

i'm a bit worried that this might get stuck in a stupid way, and while i see that you have taken steps to reduce that, i'm not sure it's enough. like this might get stuck on it's side if you push it in a corner.
possibly but i think that the back of the treads can still move the bot if that happens. i dunno though. i doubt its any worse than the other version and ive really never had it be an issue on that one.

banning SnS seems weird.
meltybrain ai is the single most broken thing in ra2 i can think of that isn't blatant cheating. trust me.

heads up your spinner on the bot's right side is backwards :) the dark part of the teeth is the part that does the damage.

I think it's looking a lot better man! try adding different side stabilizer setups, you'll find something that helps it gyro less.

don't forget that in IF you are allowed to have up to 4 ballasts and those ballasts will not count towards your weight limit (so your 400kg HW can weigh up to 600kg if you add 4 ballasts). making your bot heavier will help the stability a lot.

messing around a little with different wheel setups.

i remain unconvinced but i think they look kinda cool. track one especially. too bad it's super slow due to the grip nerf. it'll need dualbirds to be competitive but that'll be really heavy and the weapon will suffer as a result
EDIT: gave it dualbirds. works pretty good. still undecided if it's better than mini wheels, probably isn't

you're definitely getting there. personally i would remove both the saws and axes (saws aren't great for VS) and instead just stick a small disk on with 4 teeth. it's a much better basic setup.

again, still seems unstable to me? it's definitely better but some side supports can't hurt you. especially if you're underweight you should have the weight to do it

yes. much better sticking to the weight limit. better amount of weapons too, though they still look like they will have an awfully hard time hitting opponents. They also clip together something nasty and that goes against the rules of Standard. you need to move them farther apart or find some way where they don't phase through each other when they spin. having your side weapons spin inwards instead of outwards is probably also a good idea.

have you tested it much in the arena? it looks really unstable to me. it seems really tall and narrow with a lot of gyro force. you should see if it works, otherwise you might have to make it wider or at least lower the weapons down. it's pretty hard to tell with your camera angle though. an isometric 3/4 view is usually a lot more helpful for us to see the bot instead of a top-down one.

Compact the chassis and Don't really be afraid to have those drive motors to hang out/ be exposed at the back

this is way more true in dsl. the main reason to do that in dsl is the chassis armor is so weak but it's a lot stronger in ironforge.

kel, i think you're on the right track. i would definitely try to keep as close to either 200kg or 400kg (the ironforge MW and HW weight limits) as you can. you currently have a super underweight HW that you could easily stick 85kg worth of armor or weapons on and there's no reason ever to not do this.
your batteries are good (each gives 20amps, motors use 10amps each). your weapons are a little less than ideal but easily remedied. I would definitely add more weapons and some side armor would probably help too. your two bottom spinners currently are doing almost no damage because most weapons in IF only do damage on the blade or the tip (depending on the weapon, of course). it's difficult to use FS-weaponry well as a result but you can do it if you use weapons without normals. Alternatively you could either make it more of an HS or you could angle your weapons to something like this:
you're on the right track though. keep it up champ

gj copying my rules but i'll bite.
will try to send something soon

i wouldn't encourage something 'difficult to ai' in an ai tournament though. those rules were for parsec so they might not translate well (I assume this is AI?).

very nice. great looking. clean design
part of me does wish there was a little variation in color though, it is riding the line of being a bit too uniform. the shape though I think is great. really nice job on the making the weapon look good

it would help a lot if you could put the image in your actual post. you're attaching the images correctly, just click on the 'insert attachment 0' button and it'll put it in your post. it won't show up on your preview but it will work when you submit it.

i do.

not sure why but

and like even if no one cares why arbitrary stop people from posting? its not like the discord is a good substitute anyway. obviously i agree with keeping it around as a record as well but it's still better than discord even apart from that
as pwn said, it would be a way to keep the forum clean till the rr2 section grows
'clean' is unneeded and really arbitrary tbh
