Hi Guys, regarding the feedback on the challenge belt system replacing the title system, I have now added a poll to the Challenge Belt thread for whether we should keep the title system. Please cast your vote!

[…] you can challenge the belt holder at anytime, similar to that of the original title system, in that belt's meta with any other features being up to the challenge itself.
Rules. There will be 4 metas that you can enter. DSL-S, Stock, IF and DSL-IRL. Weightclasses will cycle each month. LW, MW, HW, SHW. Not in that order though. You can enter as many of the different metas as you want.
[…] Full Challenge Belt HistoryAs you all may be aware, there has been discussions about overhauling the title system, and thus, let me introduce you to: GTM CHALLENGE BELT This will be a monthly title for the best-of-the-best contenders of the challenge board to duke it out and claim bragging rights. Rules- The belt holder (from the previous month) has from 1st to 7th of the month to decide the challenge belt meta of:
- Meta: Stock/DSL-S/Ironforge
- Weightclass: LW/MW/HW/SHW
- Arena: anything that comes standard in those modes that is flat with hazards off
This will be the specification for bots to be used in the belt battles. If no decision has been relayed to the organizer by 7th 23:59:59 UTC then the belt holder will be dethroned and the belt will be up for grabs, with the above choices randomised. - Contenders have until 14 days from belt holder's meta decision date to send a bot to the organizer (1 bot per contender).
- Winner of the seeded single elimination bracket faces the current belt holder.
- Seeds are determined first by Active Challenge Board standings, then by All-time standings.
- Battles will be best-of-3, hazards off and standard havok rules apply.
Process- 1st of month: the organizer PMs the belt holder about decisions.
- 1st - 7th: once decision recieved or randomized choices, thread detailing parameters for this month's belt will be created
- 15th (1st + 14) - 21st (7th + 14): period for challengers to send a bot to the organizer (2 weeks)
- 15th - 21st: the organizer then sets up the bracket, with byes and seeding. The thread is updated.
- 22nd - 28th: finalise battles and see who holds the belt.
This will launch at the start of November, replacing the titles. There is no challenge belt holder, so this first month is up for grabs. Current Holder: BildschirmChallengers- Plerco
- Double00Rhys
- Badger
- Pokebro
- TheOrcCorp
- Superbomb
- Billy5545
- Kix
- Nightraven Shade
- SteveM4
Recommend you post your challenge here so people keep track of it[/list]

dragonfire, thanks for getting this set up and ready to go by next month!
It doesn't look like there has been a finalised format yet, we may need to delay implementation.

I am happy with the title system being overhauled with this challenge belt system. IMO IRL should be banned due to its track record of drama caused. Also should the date of the“ win a challenge during the course of the month” be the challenge/thread start date, or the date the result is finalised? If all happy, I am happy to: - re-engineer the spreadsheet for this challenge belt
- be the endpoint for the belt holder to choose the belt match parameters
- get this ready for the end of October, such that the first month will be November
However, I won't be able to host any of the matches.

I like this idea but I think there needs to be a fall-back for if the Belt holder becomes inactive; if no mod & weight class is chosen within a week, combo is picked at random.

Hello everyone, this is an announcement about an update to the leaderboards (and no, not to do with the titles): - The sheet “Leaderboard” has been removed (this was just an alphabetical view of the existing “Leaderboard by Points” so seemed pointless when you can CTRL+F).
- The sheet “Leaderboard by Points” has been renamed to “All-time Leaderboard”. The contents remains unchanged.
- There is a new sheet called “Active Leaderboard”:
- This is a list of contestants filtered by those who are ‘active’ in the CB.
- A contestant is deemed ‘active’ if they have participated as a contestant in a CB match within the last 4 months (thread creation date is used as the date to filter against).
- The points, statistics, etc is still for ‘all-time’ as that is the nature of CB IMO.
- I hope with this change that it garners more preciousness(?) for points and position within the Leaderboard.
As always, any feedback please let me know, thanks.

Sage4Admin2k17
Sarcasm aside, Sage or someone trustworthy and active for mod, Craaig/Kill for admin. Boom, ****ing done. GTM has a more active admin (though trov is presumably busy, no feedback from him is a bad sign.) who can engage with the community while Trov handles the backend.
I already maintain the main CB spreadsheet, it would make sense for me 2 B admni yis? kappa
Instead of posting "SICK FUNNY MEMES XD" can we actually discuss this idea? Sure, titles aren't regarded too highly but that could, with the proper planning and attention which I am hoping to provide, be rectified. And if 3 months is too long? 1 month then.
First of all I'll overlook the blatant popularity contest here (calling me out for meming while ignoring Sage's before), and out of respect for everyone else, I have deleted my original post. I'd like to think I am an active mod; I check this area at least 5 times a day, ensuring that the spreadsheet is up to date with any new results and threads are locked/renamed properly. I am sorry if no-one appreciates my work, and this disheartens me. If any more popular mod would like to take over, I can transfer the spreadsheet to you or you can make your own and I'll just delete mine.

can anyone finish/lock this now
I conventionally wait until 5 days of inactivity before locking. This gives ample time for any replies to be posted.

I've had the intention of building a microsite for the CB using the main Google Sheet as a database for it (intermediately until if I ever can get around to porting the data to a proper performant webstack DB). As a side-effect, this would present the title holders in a more honourable state, which may increase the prestige of the titles somewhat… but it's just getting around to actually building the site :/
In any case, I'll await the final verdict on the titles before I do anything impactful.
