I'm calling it now, Complete Control vs Warhead is one that'll be talked about for years.  https://youtu.be/0Q7nZlcOlkg?t=1m21s

Existed, yes, successful no.  Off the top of my head, classic RW gave us Spam and Armadrillo who fell in Series 6 without maing any sort of impression

Kurt if you watch the trailer again you'll see rotator in another fight
Against Splatter and an unknown third robot. I wanted to see them in the knockout stages though.
What did that third robot look like?
You just see a corner of it enter the screen before the picture fades, but I think it might be Lockjaw.

Bronco team probably realized that no amount of wheel protection would do against powerful spinners, so they ditched them completely; after all, a bad wheel-guard could fold into the wheel and immobilize the bot.  They've gone with foam tires, which can take direct hits and have chunks taken out, but still work faily well.

Mega Tento is gonna have some AWESOME tournament moments, I can feel it.
Should be pretty cool to watch it getting splattered by Poison Arrow in the Qualifiers. ;)
I actually think it'll beat Poison Arrow; it's a tiny robot that could get completely engufled.

Is your opponent one of the stock AI?  Dang, I thought they'd at least make good-looking opponents, the one good feature of stock RA2.

Sick of the car steering in the bots, no offence to the dev who seems to absolutely love them. Skid steering in my mind is just completely superior and it's making me worried that all we're seeing is car steering. I know in the trailer it looked like some bots had skid, but all the internal stuff we've seen has car.
Eh, that's probably just for the sake of presentation; when you use the car motor, the two wheels are automatically in line with each other

I think Minotaur might do some major, serious damage to whoever it's up against first, can't wait to see them absolutely wrecked :L
We know from the previews and the board graphic it's going to be against
, which is too bad because they're both good robots.

Oh definitely; there'll be 51 fights in the main bracket, but only time to show 40/44 of them (the first ep might be 2 hours).  And there'll probably be at least one exhibition rumble

To clarify, it's not a trailer, it's a full length episode, effectively "episode 0," with four rumbles for bots to qualify for the main bracket.

Control scheme is completely nonsensical.  I'd give this one a miss.

Interesting that the legacy bot SoW has to go through this extra stage, but I suppose it wouldn't be a very good episode if they only used mediocre bots.  7 robots in the arena in one of these fights, should be chaotic

This is excellent, shame I'd literally learned how to bypass rule of 7 a few days before this was made, something everyone has wanted.
Thank you Serge :)
Forgive me for assuming that you're talking out your ass, but how did you do it, and why didnt you tell anyone? Seems pretty co-incidental that you discover a method for bypassing a rule we thought was set in stone for over a decade a couple days before another method was publically released.
. He's talking about the way to bypass it by using BFE.  It's a lot less efficient, as it requires you to assemble the chain elsewhere on the robot, then use BFE to stick it in place.  The coincidence was me finally gettin off my ass and writing a tutorial just a few days before Serge released his thing

I sure hope the stock AI looks better than the bots we saw in that trailer.

flamethrowers were the direct cause of /at least 2/ losses
Which ones?

Currently under NDA, but there were ESC failures caused by flamers.  They aren't consistent weapons but they can most definitely take a robot over the edge and into thermal meltdown
[/quote] Oh, you meant this season just now.  Very intriguing, most people aren't scared of flamethrowers in the least, but if we've made them that good, that changes things.
