Bronco team probably realized that no amount of wheel protection would do against powerful spinners, so they ditched them completely; after all, a bad wheel-guard could fold into the wheel and immobilize the bot. They've gone with foam tires, which can take direct hits and have chunks taken out, but still work faily well.

Skid steering in my mind is just completely superior and it's making me worried that all we're seeing is car steering. Interesting that the legacy bot SoW has to go through this extra stage, but I suppose it wouldn't be a very good episode if they only used mediocre bots. 7 robots in the arena in one of these fights, should be chaotic
