I don't know why I went for another hammer bot, but here we are. Not really strong with the hammer though. Oh well, it's got looks and a decent pushing game.

Those look pretty sweet. Very nice replicas. To add those little things like screws is something I keep forgetting tbh.

Just now went to try again either way, despite saying in my own showcase I didn't want to. Seemed to work fine now. May have been a 1 time thing. Still, has to have come from somewhere.

Oh man I'm glad to see you got it working. Hopefully we will see your beaut in SvL? I'll keep seeing if I can replicate it but it's good to know it may have been a one off thing.

Yeah I'll see about sending it in. The hammer falls off way too fast lol. But I guess it is what it is. Phantasm is to good performing heavy hitter of mine.
As for replicating it.. Well good luck there. Not exactly fun to try and hope for a PC crash to happen.

Reading back in the AI txt, I believe I had not changed my motor key inputs to what the txt tells to use. While that is an incorrect way to do things, I don't think it should be causing a system crash upon saving AI. Was this tested by you or others? Asking just to make sure. I don't think there was more in play at the time though.

Eh. Don't feel too bad about it. IT sucks that it happened, but with a game that's still in early alpha and it being wonky from time to time, bad sh** is kinda to be expected. The PC crash with it wasn't expected, but I'm assuming it or Windows tried to handle something it couldn't and just went full derp instead.

And I really just had to rebuild it. No way I was going to just drop this one.

Honestly I wish I didn't have to build everything from scratch a second time with Stopping Power. Putting in all this work does make me realize how much effort other great builders put in their creations.
I do feel like a function that could be added would be to mirror objects/shapes. In the case with custom shapes it would make it easier to quickly have something that fits on both sides of the bot. Take the left and right panels on the front for example. These weren't hard to do, but for more complex shapes though...

In the AI topic I mentioned a hammer bot getting corrupted. I've been busy and have rebuilt it completely. Result is somewhat better too. Learned that I can edit custom shapes later too even if already placed in the bot. Super practical!

Anyways, here is Stopping Power~

First of... I'm not gonna try AI this thing again. I don't want to go through this again.
I've attached the bot file for anyone willing. If successful, I might want to enter it in SvL for my 3rd entry. Otherwise it's that green thing that's somehow supposed to be a kiwi.
Second... This bot doesn't feel like it does much damage. Oh well. Might be me.
Lastly. The more I work with this botlab, the more I like it. Feels so much better than RA2.

The face is indeed invertable. And the name is Kiwi on Steroids.

I can't believe this topic has had no new comments for so long...

So... Anyone been playing Sword and/or Shield on Switch? I know the game is a let-down and multiple cases, but I've still been having fun playing Pokemon Shield.

I don't want to be the bane of people's happiness here but I've tried the Hammer AI 1.1 and the results are far less than desirable. Having build a hammer bot and having spent about 4 hours to make it look pretty, today I decided to cope/paste the hammer AI into the game's AI editor to see if it'll work for my bot. The moment I pressed the Save AI button, my entire PC crashed. Seriously, this happened. I wish I were joking.

After booting back up and looking in game, the whole bot is now an error and can't be accessed. The file is still around so I guess I'll attach it to this comment. Perhaps someone here can somehow restore it or can at least get some useful info from digging through this wreck.
(I sure hope this file is the right one. It's the highest number file name and was my latest creation.)

Yay double post~

Anyways, new idea that didn't turn into what I had in mind at first. Well that's all I know since I had forgotten the idea...
Should I enter this thing in SvL? I'm not sure.

I've seen the hammer AI. It seems that while going blind, it was already set to work for spinners, it seems. Well at least Phantasm seems to act correctly under AI.
Didn't think of trying to copy/paste the text. Thanks for that tip.

Thanks. I'm still trying out things. Kinda want something that's not a spinner next, also for the sake of entering lesser seen bot styles in SvL. In that also finding where the current limits go in the games current version.

Doesn't help that I can't AI at all. Well, not even really try much since the spinner specs window keeps being in the way.

I've sent in Phantasm with the wheel fix, but in testing it in the test area I found it more prone to have the weapon glitching through the floor/wall and the bot getting stuck.
Should the rule on needing wheel fix to enter get reversed, then I know I'll want my bots without it.
