Wait, you're telling me there's a weight class below Cruiserweight? Well then.

Yep, made an overhead because originality. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, especially the bar. Plastic 10 armor, NPCF drive, and it is invertible, albeit with less power in the weapon..

So far, the quality of bots is kind of meh, but there are so many newer builders and untested designs that it makes sense.

Should be a very interesting tourney nonetheless. Quite fun to see new blood in a tournament!

Please tell me this tournament is going to be consistent, have a well made format, and no highlighted fights.
Don't worry that's about 95% of tournaments

Also, drop the bitching about Orc's Wars, it's been over for months now. The format is already confirmed (in the signups), and the entries are set in stone. You got accepted into this tournament, so stop wallowing about a tournament that wasn't hosted by BSRaven rejecting a bot of yours.

Then again, you really seem to not like me, so you won't take a word of this to heart

P.S. Can't wait to watch Fenrir play dead 2 minutes into a fight because battery life is garbage.

Legit the poll for this and the other BOTMs closed a week ago. Admin overlords, can we get these on the front page yet?

P.S. No, this isn't just because I won. If I cared about that, why would I mind seeing Bad Liar on the front page?

Made a stock rep of gigabyte
Works like the real thing, even if stock wheels are annoying as all hell.

After Twisted Fate's... er... predictable performance, I gave it a complete overhaul to try and fix the problems I was having. First and foremost, it has a srimech now. Also added were better armor along the sides, better wedgelets, and a more stable base to prevent it from flipping over. Some looks were sacrificed, but if this wins fights, I'll be happy nonetheless. Overall, certainly buffed for combat.

I also have a bot for Hop's LDAI 3 thing. I didn't want to just throw Sabre or Bocuma in, but I wanted something that would clearly be my build style, and would pose some kind of a challenge as my main HW, so I decided to take the core design of Sabre, but then make it more competitive at the cost to some of the sleekness that makes Sabre what it is. The same thought process went into my Robogames 2 HW Broadsword, which I have grown to really dislike, so this bot is something of a spiritual successor to that, but done right. It's basically Sabre but 20CM wider and with Storm Bursts instead of VDMAs. Looks a bit worse than Sabre, but fights way better and should prove reasonably challenging for anyone who downloads the AI pack. Will also be showing up in Fresh Metal.

<Talks trash about people's bot

 Hmm, must be superbomb
First off, I complimented just as many robots as I spoke very negatively on (15 to 15 by my count), which I would say is "to even it out" or something but it really just reflects how up and down the quality of the builds in this tournament are. Most of the robots I feel indifferent to are decent builds, but need something more to stand out in my eyes. Many of my criticisms in the post boil down to "it's boring", "it's ugly", or "the way it wins is stupid" (see: Veorra), things that either are fixed with experience or come directly from using experience to be a try-hard. It's nigh impossible to give detailed advice on 48 separate robots at once, and many of these robots have already gathered advice/criticism/praise on Discord and GTM when they were shown off. I was just giving my brief thoughts on each robot in the field (except mine and God itself), and plenty of it will come off as blunt and crude, especially to those I criticize.

I'll admit this time was harsher than usual. If you are truly offended by my criticisms of other bots, please take this to PMs so this thread doesn't get cluttered with a sh**show. To anyone else who's unhappy with my opinions, I am truly sorry. I was tired as hell and didn't think through what I was saying clearly enough. With all of that said, I'm excited for the new season of DM and can't wait to see how everyone does, and hey, some of you might prove me wrong!

1) I like it a lot. It looks like one of Orc's designs, as he seems to have a fetish for crocs. (Jk)
2) the design was nice until the anime got slapped onto it. I personally feel like anime and robot combat should never be mixed, but that's just my opinion.
Boy i hope you haven't seen mlp Battlebot
Or Overhaul

Let's go!

Gonna get revenge on Thanatos

^Your 2nd comment is definitely in my plans for the future ;)

Also, there is now a view-able spreadsheet listing every bot involved in Mech Madness. I'll be tracking their conference, season record, strongest win, and most damaging loss as we go:
Actually, that was mine lol. As I'm a tourney mod, I tried quoting him, but pressed modify instead and didn't notice until now

No more then 1 wide medium/large vdma, storm front hinge or beta OR a maximum of 2 medium or smaller vdma. (no mixing and matching)
No more then 2 large typhoon or 4 small typhoon (no mixing)
idk I think just one Storm burst and the typhoon limits are too strict for my liking. 2 storms, 4 larges, and 6 smalls feel much better to me. This is coming from someone who doesn't use 4 larges or 2 storms, but the bots that use those setups are usually reasonable.

I like it, the button on the front is a nice touch. How much does it weigh?
Thanks! It's a HW

Reminds me of WU66
