Try using the Sumo arena in 1v1 mode rather than sumo mode, it seems to crash in sumo mode I've noticed. Not sure what's going on with the LoC arena, I haven't had any complaints about that so far, as I never touched that arena at all.

Some arenas have been added. All the bots that were absent in the original have been added and AI'd, a custom arena made by me, some AI'd bots have been fixed, bunch of new teams, and just a lot of minor fixes here and there, like grammar errors in the team slogans.

I was given permission by cephalopod to release my fan made edit of RWRA2 that I worked on as a personal project a few years ago. It is available on the downloads section if anyone else is interested in downloading it. Full credit goes to the original creators of the mod and everything else that I was sent by others or downloaded myself, this is merely a personal project that I worked on and I'm now happy that I can share this with others

How come Heats A-E of the tournament were taken down? Can anyone reupload them?

I am hoping to start getting into building real robots, specifically smaller ones like Antweights. Anyone have any suggestions on the first step of getting started?

So I recently remembered an old Youtube user from around 2007 that used to upload Robot Arena 2 videos. His name was 3908productions and he did a small tournament called TVF where he would do battles online with one of his friends. Not long after around April 2008 he started another series called FRA in which he filmed heats similar to Robot Wars where he would control some of his creations against bots from the DSL pack. I remember he had bots called Cheese Grater 2.1, Lazer Hetey, Skurge and Odd-Looking Maniac. I also remember him making a small movie that was supposed to be a two-parter called Attack of the Pon2n where the titular robot would attack Chaos 2, Hypno-Disc, Storm II and Razer. Unfortunately, none of his projects were ever finished and a couple of years ago, he deleted all of his content. These vids are particularly nostalgic because they were uploaded when YouTube was just starting out and are some of my earliest memories with the website. They were filmed with just a camcorder pointing at the computer screen. Does anyone else remember these videos because I'm making sure they weren't just some fever dream. I really would do anything to watch them again.

So this is probably outdated but I'm surprised that no one has brought this up yet. Did anyone go to Robonerd this past August? I did and I loved it, even though I'm not a roboteer. It was awesome to meet people who had been on the TV show such as Simon Harrison, Andrew Marchant, John Denny, Adam Clark and many more that I didn't get round to speak to. I also met Youtubers OrangeDoseOverJuice, mystrsyko2 and Votesaxon07. It truly was a dream come true to see all the robots and builders. I'm definitely going next year.

Here's the updated version. I've removed the annoying purple lighting, the posts round the outside are flat grey to resemble a brick wall (I'll try and recolour the rest of the wall if possible) and finally the floor has been scuffed up so it looks like robots have left tyre marks on the wooden floor. This is almost done and it will be up for download when it is fully ready. No luck with turning off the hazards just yet and the re texturing on the top of the floor hazards may look out of place but for now it's the best I can do.

Thanks a lot! I was hoping I would find this type of arena somewhere but there wasn't one. Then I remembered the Generic Arena having a chained fence and thought I'd give it ago because it's a rather simple arena. Do you know how I can remove/change the lighting or deactivate the hazards?

So I made this custom arena based on the Debenham Robot Rumble arena from 2000. I took the Generic Arena because it had a chain link fence round the side and I just reskinned the floor. I also reskinned over the hazards because the real arena had none and I'm hoping I can find a way to deactivate them instead of having to do it manually. I also need to remove the purple lighting in the corners and alter the outside lighting as well. Can anyone help me out with removing the hazards completely and retexturing the lighting? Thanks!

So I wanted to change the arena preview for the Sao Paulo Scrapyard in RWRA2 but even though the BMP and notebook have the same names (both are scrapyard_preview.bmp), in the game it's just a white screen. What am I doing wrong? I did end up putting two preview files in at the same time and it ended up changing the notebook as well, like it had listed two previews. Has that messed it up or something? I tried changing the name to saopaulo_preview.bmp but still nothing. Will I have to reinstall the arena and try again?

Does anyone know if there's an arena to download that's similar to this one? Just a plain wooden square with metal railings.

I don't know if it's been suggested yet but has someone ever made the Debenham Robot Rumble arena from 2000 or something similar? It's basically just a plain brown wooden floor with some metal guard rails around it. Check Team Tornado's website for information on the event, there's plenty of pictures of the arena

Got Gravity's flipper working. The problem? The control was named "fire" instead of "flip"

Does anyone have any download links for any of these arenas?
Joust Arena (The one used in the King of Karnage tournament) Clash Cubes 3 Arena Robot Wars Series 2 (A reskin of the Robot Wars arena by daleksec7) Trooper Arena
Thanks!

Yes. I named the smartzone as flip and the control as flip (also tried changing them both to fire but to no avail) as well. Every other robot that I've AI'd with a flipper has worked fine, it's just Gravity that doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

I need some help. I've been trying get Gravity's flipper to work in RWRA2 for months on end and still nothing is working. I've tried using different smart zones, renaming the controls, changing the bindings but Gravity just won't flip. The bot itself is controlling just fine, it's just the flipper won't work despite me putting a smart zone in.

Is this still taking place? I'm guessing you're really busy

OK, so I'm having trouble when it comes to AI weapons. The robots move just fine but for some reason the weapons don't activate when a bot comes near (e.g. axes don't fire when robots come in range, flippers don't flip when robots are on the flippers). Am I doing something wrong like using the wrong type of smartzone, the smartzone isn't being named correctly, the analogs have been given the wrong name or the bindings have the wrong weapon type when assigned to a robot? Can someone help me out?
