Modifications / adding walls to fight to the finish

Hi everyone! I recently reskined the fight to the finish area because I've always wanted to complete this area. Now I want to add the walls and make it so they drop after one minute. How do I go about doing this? Or am I way in over my head XD

General Support / biohazard crashes /DSL 2.2

so I have DSL 2.2 and naturally there are loads of replicas in it. Most of them work just fine, but it kind of sucks that one of my favorites biohazard won't work. If I try to use him the game crashes. Now here's the weird thing biohazard opens in the botlab and I can control him and everything. But as soon as I got to the test drive portion then the game crashes again. To fix this issue I redownloaded all of the components of biohazard from the original 2.2 file into my own game. (maybe one of them was corrupted) and that didn't work. So now I'm like "well maybe the bot file is corrupted" I redownload the bot file..... same issue. Does anybody have any ideas why biohazard doesn't work?

Should we make replicas too?
Not the best at replicas really. I can do some custom skins and stuff but when it comes to all these extender bots and obj stuff I'm not even close to that level of skill

I've only ever tried doing textures for the arenas and even then i'm not good with it. But I could try help if you want
oh I see haha. So it looks like I have the same amount of experience as you as I have never been successful in actually modifying the actual 3d model. And don't even get me started on figuring out how to drop the guard rails after a certain period of time

I once thought about modifying this arena but I just never got round to it. Is it also possible for you to add some fighting music as well as a crowd texture round the side?

would you like to collaborate with me to finish it? Have you modified arenas before in the way I'm trying to do? Because right now I'm pretty stuck

well in series 3 razer had only two battles, one with backstabber and the other with agrobot. I don't remember it happening against agrobot so it was probbly with backstabber. you can find the episode with Razer in here:

So quite a while ago goose made an arena based on Robotica's fight to the finish. while extremely cool I found out it was never really finished and was never planed to be. So I took the liberty of reskinning the arena myself.




I honestly think it looks pretty good but I have no idea how to add the guardrails, as well as having them drop after a certain time. Does anybody know how to help me with this......or am I just way too over my head and I should quit while I'm ahead.....

General Support / some robots don't work

This is a problem that has persisted for a very long time since I got the DSL 2.2. There will be times where I will try to use a robot and the game will just crash. Like vlad the impaler for example. When I try to battle with him the game just crashes. I tried to import all the components from the original 2.2 file but it doesn't work. But the weird thing is that sometimes it will work in the botlab. Like I can use biohazard in the botlab but not in battle or in the test arena. Does anyone have an idea why this may happen?

But njgw has much better quality. He doesn't have series 1.2. or 6 it seems, so maybe you can get the rest from the guy I listed
That isn't high quality. Those vids are about 7 years old too. We're talking 720p and higher.

I know, but that was all I could find. If he wants it now then that's the best quality I personally could find. But if there is time to wait then njgw might release the rest in the same HD quality as the other ones

General Support / making components visible in botlab

I am currently trying to make my own warhead replica. I was planning on using the components from the battlebots mod but they do not show up in the botlab. Do I have to modify the .txt file for them? What do I have to do to make the warhead component visible so I can build my replica. Thanks guys!!

dude it would be really amazing if we could get a fight to the finish to guard rails that go off after a certain time. then the fight to the finish would be complete. And if somehow we get someone REALLY good, we might even get the labyrinth or gauntlet, but that's wishful thinking lol.

I thought of that idea a couple months ago but I haven't done anything with it because I've been busy. That said, I haven't had a look at my Robotica AI Pack that much either.

hey guys! so I'm sure many of you are aware that there a a custom arena based on the fight to the finish from robotica. that being said I personally was not too satisfied with it so I decided to modify it on my own. I changed the maps on the bullseye which was easy enough but am now trying to make the side gates. However being the noob that I am I have no idea how to do it. Can anybody give me a little help on how to add my own gates, as well as timing them to go down after 1 minute? I know that's possible because of the metal skull and the octagon arenas. When I'm done I'll link the download on this thread. Thanks guys! :smile:
