Time to take a bigger bite than I can chew. Today's Gimmick This is 5 separate tourneys in one with a cumulative points system to go along with it. -Every tourney has its own sign-ups phase. Note: Previous robots will not be automatically entered. -1 entrant per tourney with the exception of the final tourney. -You can enter a tournament, even if you weren't in a previous one. -For every win the robot gets within the tourney, the robot will get a point on a scoreboard. These points will be used later. (Go to ~ to skip there) -A person can (and is encouraged to) enter separate bots for each tourney, however, the new robot will earn its own set of points. -Upgrades to previous robots can also be done between tourneys, including rebuilds with similar designs (see also: RotatoR, Hypershock, Lockjaw, ect.). ~The final tournament is not first come first serve like the others, rather, robots that sign up will be selected based on their points. -You can enter four robots into the final tournament. However, they can only get in if they have higher scores than others who have signed up. -2 Robots can enter the final tournament on fan vote. -Bye bots will be supplied if not enough entries show up, since this tourney is about wins, not bracket placement for the mostpart.
Don't be a dick. If it looks stupid, or acts stupid, I'll deny you. Note that I'm being strict on 4-bars and ring spinners.
RR2-IRL-AI Tick rate 300 Damage Percentage 50% I'll be using the battery drain build. I will update between tourneys if I see it worthy. Basic geometry can be added, recolored, or removed to your robots and sent to me between fights, but added geometry must be made of Aluminum or worse material. Weight cannot be made for these addons by making other materials thinner. CAD is allowed if it doesn't break the game Swiss Army bots are allowed. Clusterbots are allowed 2 members. If more than 4 robots enter an arena at one time, the lightest robot will not participate. No turrets unless you know how to AI it. Shufflers get a 25% weight bonus Gyro Walkers get a 50% weight bonus True Walkers get a 100% weight bonus

GRL:RRR if you will. This is a personal tournament made by me, for me. I filmed it in the March 15th version of the game and didn't give a dang about bugs or glitches. Here's the competitors for this season. Yes, I did just take a picture of my file browser. BracketWe already have the first episode out. Here's hoping I can finish this one.

HW DSL IRL RW 2016 CB2 is the usual. Flatmotor, Overkill, ect. are allowed. CF, BFE, OBJ, and all other common IRL stuff is allowed.
Each contestant send the host, Bildschirm, three robots as well as the order they will compete. The winner of each bout will survive to the next battle until no bots are left. How does one word that?
Bild Whoever ThatDiscordGuy is Bild to host. Good luck.

So apparently this is a section now. I only just learned how this game works today, but I think I have the hang of it. So far I've only made 6 robots, with the other 2 just being boxes. Favorite <----> Least Favorites As of now, in the scenario any of them go head-first into a wall, they instantly die. I'm also under the impression that 200 KG is the weight limit, so that's what I've weighted them to.

Remember that poll I had in my signature? Let's pretend that didn't exist. This tournament will be using a totally impractical and incomplete patch whose entire existence is for entertainment.DSL 2.2 IRL, LW, MW, and HW. 16 entrants per weight class. I can deny you for any reason. Whether it be your robot it OP, it has an illegal weapon support, or your name starts with an E. You may only enter 1 robot per weight class, however you don't need to enter each one. Naturally, colored components are allowed, however, you might want to note that I don't own all of them. CF, BFE, OBJ2RA2, and all that jazz are allowed and honestly preferred over extenderbots. Cheatbot2 components include the Overkill motor and razer motor. The patch makes the flatmotor legal because I didn't buff it. Swiss army and multibots bots allowed Manual countdowns will be enforced on robots that cannot actively pursue the opponent. Judging will be dealt with on a 45 point system with 15 points on Control , Aggression (Which will be defined as active pursuit of the opponent), and Damage (Which will be defined by the ingame points system put into a ratio). If a match is plagued with havok explosions or is dull, it will be reduced to a highlight match (Similarly to Destruction Evolution).
Oh boy... The 16 robots will be place in four groups based on how much I like you its performance in testing. The tl;dr version of your goal is you want to be in the top 2 groups. You'll start off by fighting one person in your group. I'll rig it so you don't fight the same person twice, but RNG can still be a dick to you. The winner of the match will go on to fight the loser of the group just above it. In the case for the top group. It's a cannon fodder match with absolutely no meaning. The winner of the matches (that don't include the winner on the top group) will take the place in the above group and the loser will move down into the group below. This whole process will take place twice, giving just enough time for you to move a maximum of 2 groups. After 2 rounds of this have taken place, the robots in the third group and 2 robots with poor records in the second group will enter a bracket for the last 2 positions. The final positions of the bracket will show you your final seeding for the main event. A final single elimination bracket to decide the winner of the tournament. Probably just gonna reskin the Robogames arena. HW- MW- LW- These designs might be a little too practical... Albiet, mine is less robotics based and more based on what I feel like. In reality these were made for the game Robocraft as a fan project. They were relatively positively received with the biggest complaint being them being either too small or the music didn't fit the game itself. Speaking of the music the maps have theme songs.

That's a better name for it. Build style: DSL 2.2 Rebalance patch-IRL Weight class: Heavyweight Naturally, DSC's Component packs are allowed CF, BFE, OBJ2RA2, and all that jazz are allowed Cheatbot2 is allowed, but I'll deny anything that abuses it too much. [cheatpacks, invisible motors, ect.] Sign-ups will occur 3 times. Once during the original phase, again during the first season, and again during the second season. During each phase, you can enter one bot per person and upgrade robots you have already entered (However, upgrades won't be entered until the next season. By the end, you'll have three robots in the competition. Tl;dr have a timeline 24 new robots per season with 72 in total Swiss army and multibots bots allowed Manual countdowns will be enforced on robots that cannot actively pursue the opponent. Judging will be dealt with on a 45 point system with 15 points on Control , Aggression (Which will be defined as active pursuit of the opponent), and Damage (Which will be defined by the ingame points system put into a ratio). If a match is plagued with havok explosions or is dull, it will be reduced to a highlight match (Similarly to GRL). 8, 16, or 24 robots (depending on the season) will be seeded based on how well they did in the previous season. In season 1, they'll be seeded by past tournaments or how impressive they are. If your robot was entered into a tournament or an upgraded version of a robot from a tournament, tell me beforehand to get guaranteed seeding for season 1 These seeded bots will be given byes in the first round. As for the bracket itself, it's a single-elimination bracket. Ravex 2.0 is coming to town. I still can't name this thing for my life. One day I will return to this. Don't worry... Welcome to the gold Robotics league. Why? Cus one day I felt like building 48 robots, so I did. What does one do with 48 robots? Make them fight. Duh... I'll start things off with a demo just to hype things up, and practice editing/rules... Things to add is longer Stat cards and longer fight introductions so we can read the robot names. http://challonge.com/GoldRoboticsLeagueGRL 2 is out now. http://challonge.com/GoldRoboticsLeague2For the most efficient way to watch without having to go through every single reply, check out the playlist

I've been following Duck's tutorial on Arena Modding, however, I've run into a roadblock... Every time I try to Compile or Decompile (With Serge's compiler at least) a GMF file, the program would crash. Seems simple enough, boot this up... Then choose the file... Then Scream... Ok, So Dummy's can Decompile... Can Serge's Compiler Compile? Nope... The same thing occurs, but I don't wanna post more images for your sake. So Dummy's can decompile just fine... but compiling... I select the source I select the Destination I Scream Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

Once again, I'm putting no copyright on this thing. Feel free to rip off, copy, ect. Build style: DSL 2.2 Rebalance patch-IRL Weight class: Heavyweight Naturally, DSC's Component packs are allowed No joke bots: I reserve the right to deny any bot that I think is weak or impractical CF, BFE, OBJ2RA2, and all that jazz are allowed 1 Entry per person 16 robots, 8 robots per team (May increase if the tourney has enough popularity) Banned bot types: Multibots,Swiss army, and SnS When entering a robot, you must say whether you are on team light or team dark, or you will be rejected. Please refrain from telling others what team you joined. Though I can't stop it, it still ruins a bit of the fun. Updating robots is allowed until splash is posted. If a robot is killed via a Havok explosion, I'll have a Havok Restart. 1 Havok Restart per robot. If a second occurs, the culprit of the explosion will be DQed. Manual countdowns will be enforced on robots that cannot actively pursue the opponent. Judging will be dealt with on a 45 point system with 15 points on Control , Aggresion (Which will be defined as active pursuit of the opponent), and Damage (Which will be defined by the ingame points system put into a ratio). If you didn't catch it up in the rules, when submitting a bot, you join a team. After sign-ups, each team will nominate one team member to be the captain of the team. At the beginning of each match, the team captains will PM me which half the robots will fight in the next match-ups. This number will decrease to half of the losing team each round. This will loop until no robots are left on one of the teams. The captains must be part of the teams themselves. As to avoid Rob being captain of both teams.
Yes I did copy paste this from the original LvD. Your point? A reskin of the Robogames arena. This arena is almost godly tbh. You're not automatically knocked out when thrown out of the arena however. Hahaha, NO. As to avoid Bias in judging I'll stay out of this. Instead, have some spare bots. Something Old Something Borrowed Something Blue Something that got rejected too Oh yeah, and team captains will choose which spare robots will be taken into the team. Certain Items in the cheatbot section will be allowed including... Extenders- Nightmare Brace
- Nightmare Front
Motors- Flamethrower
- Nightmare E-tek
- Vlad Burst
- Overkill motor
- Flatmotor
- Slow Flatmotor
Extra- Apollyon wheel

After the round robin, the top 6 in points will be given seeds and put into a single elimination bracket. Points will be given like such: 0 for loss, 1 for JD, 2 for KO. Max of 3 configurations. When Splash is revealed, please send me a list of what weapon to use against each enemy. Otherwise, you'll just have to trust in my judgement. 16 robots, with one robot per person. Updates are doable at any time before splashes are put up.
If a match has a game changing/deciding havok explosion, I will restart once. Afterward, all havok explosions will be tolerated. Matches will be 3 minutes long.
I felt like with smaller bots, I needed a smaller arena. Also, this is why flamethrowers are banned. Wood O-Zone is a flipper bot... That's all I can really say. No idea if there's a thread for this already, but here goes. Tactics are things you can add to the bindings of a robot to make it drive a certain way. Its really that simple. To start, you should probably find the tactics first, so using Notepad++ open up the Tactics.py file. Also note I'm using the tactics that come with DSL. When opened, you should see this. Normally, most of the tactics have green text that tells what it does. If you read the Green text, you can tell what it is the tactic does, and special stuff you can add to the bindings to make it do special stuff. Adding them to the bindings are easy. Merely add, 'tactic':"[Your Tactic of choice]", to the bindings of your robot. Adding the settings are a little tougher. As shown above, if your tactic is "Charge," you can add any of the Customizable settings listed below it. Add them into the bindings as '[Setting of choice]':[Number of choice],. What the number means is usually said in the description of the settings. And believe it or not, that's it. 'tactic':"DumbCharge", Tries to push the opponent without turning. Good for fast robots and boxrushing. [No Customizations]
'tactic':"Charge", Gives the Ram AI to slow bots. 'ThresholdSpeed':#, At what speed the robot will stop pushing the opponent and back up. 'SightRange':#, How far ahead the robot will see hazards. Useful for keeping them from attacking the pit in the middle of the onslaught arena. 'BackUpTime':#, How long the robot will back up before attacking the opponent. Normally they'll attack when they get a certain distance from the opponent, but if the opponent is chasing them, they'll never stop backing up. One second = 4. 'AimError':#, How precise the aim will be. Higher number = Lower accuracy.
'tactic':"Ram", Gives the Ram AI to fast bots. It's literally the same as Charge. Just with different default settings to the Settings.
'tactic':"ReverseRam", Makes the robot drive backwards. However, 'turn' and 'throttle' need to be negative amounts. Otherwise it's Charge and Ram.
'tactic':"Shove", Pushes the other robots across the arena. Good for Plows or Top-pushers. Robots will resort to using this if they lost their weapons. (Assuming you assigned what the weapon is correctly) [No Customizations]
'tactic':"Reorient", I believe this was an attempt to make robots attack the side of each other, however I have not seen this work yet... [No Customizations]
The rest of them appear to be defaults that are assigned for KOTH or Tabletop. I still have yet to find out how they work...
Though small, these tactics make fights much more entertaining. If you know what tactics too add to what bot, entire fights could change. I hope this helps and I apologize if this was hard to follow. Happy AIing. tl;dr: Step 1: Open tactics folder Step 2: Choose tactic Step 3: Add tactic and settings to bindings using 'tactic':"[Tactic]", and '[Setting]':[Number that has to do with setting],
