OP: AightI've been thinking again, I want a themed IRL tournament. This time, the only active weapon allowed are flamethrowers.I would allow any custom flamethrower components, however a limited amount of static weapons would also be allowed such as spikes and wedges. Meta is obviously DSL IRL 2.4, but I'd like everyone's opinions on what other building rules would be sensible. Update: 12.9.20:IRL Build RulesSubmit your AI with your robot for the love of God
General Rules -DSL 2.4 IRL -Minimum weight 600.1kg, maximum 800kg (HW) -Any bots you enter, you must be the original builder of, unless you have permission from the original builder to enter it into this tournament, even if you have given the bot a huge overhaul and even renamed it -One bot per entry, clusterbots are allowed -Tracked bots get a 100kg weight bonus, shufflers 200kg bonus, walkers 400kg bonus -No steel 10 armour Component Rules -Flatmotors are allowed -All flamethrowers (including custom components) are allowed -4 large teeth maximum (i.e. Large Typhoon, Ripping Teeth) -6 small teeth maximum (i.e. Small Typhoon, Cutting Teeth) -10 small beaters maximum -8 medium/large beaters maximum -Maximum of 200kg of weapons -Popups, jugglers, flail rams and other bot types that should be illegal are allowed as long as they follow the IRL style -No burst limits-All other cheatbot2 components are banned AI Rules: -All AI types are legal -You must make it yourself, I'm not making it for you

Most of the UI files are GIB files and Paint.net won't open them. What do I use to access them?

As Blender is free on Steam, it's ideal for me to use for creating meshes for RA2 which is something I've wanted to do since forever. Problem is, I have no idea what I'm doing on it apart from making various sized square or boxes. Can anyone give me tips on how to use Blender and create Arenas?

Starting a thread for anyone having trouble with components. I know I've started a few help threads so why not have one big one for everyone to comment on.
I'm having trouble trying to separate the car steering unit (attached below) I can't compile/decompile it, even copying the original textures and separating (renaming them then changing the gmf file) still crashes the game
Any help??

I downloaded the zip file for the Epic Showdown arena from the Beetle Bros website (links here:) http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/robotarena.htmhttp://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/epic.zip but I can't open the zip, my laptop is saying it's corrupted. So I read up more and found that it's hidden in the BBEANS AI, and I managed to find it. I've separated the files and copied it to the arenas file, however it's hidden in the game. How do I unhide it? Or, does anyone have a working copy? If you do please send it to me I've attached the files I separated below

Just had a small probably stupid idea Should I combine almost every single modpack released on gtm? This includes stock, DSL2.1, DSL2.2, Ironforge, Starcore, Gigafrost, Official Robot Wars, other robot wars and roaming robots mods, Live Designs, and any others I can find.
It'll take a long time to be made, but if it is who would be interested?

I keep trying to swap out the large drum ("lt_hdrum3" in the styles folder) and replace the skins on them. I can do it with almost all other skins however not with these ones for some reason: Now, the "trid" one works however not with a different skin for the "drumshine" one. Whenever, and whatever I've tried (including copying a normal version of the bmp and copying the skin over it), when I load it the game crashes and says "Error loading to point". I have it working now, but that is only because I haven't changed the drumshine file which I copied from a working version. The problem is that it will overwrite all other files while in game. Has anyone came across this + know a solution?

Me again When I change the "'nose':math.pi" number, the robot doesn't turn around. I've swapped it with other lines that work but nothing turns it around. Not even changing the orientation of the bot file. What do I do?

I turned the DSL2 arena into an arena that can be fought in.It loads ok and the robot in the first slot spawns in without a problem, however the second robot... well, not so much: I've looked around the arena guides and didn't read anything on editing spawn points, so how do I fix it?I'd prefer the opponent to spawn across from the robot in the first position like the original Practice Arena

Hi, me again with another issueWhenever I try loading the RW Live arena on any mod that isn't the ORW Mod It crashes saying this abnormal termination.This happens for both the normal and tag versions. It used to work so I don't know what I've done.What do?
