Showcases / Hard Bot's RR2AM
« on: February 16, 2020, 03:33:35 PM »
I guess it's time to start a new showcase, hopefully not half-bake it this time. Here are some LW BB reps.

Grunion, a rare IRL face spinner

Claymore. The face took a bit of time to align properly.

Sparky v3.0, a boring metal box.

Is that possible, but not all 16 bots compete and a few of them are "cropped-out" each single-player tournament league?

Existing Games / Hard Bot showing off his RA1 bots
« on: January 20, 2013, 02:45:14 PM »
I decided to showcase some Robot Arena 1 bots I made. It has titanium armour, weighs 375 kg and cost $2,396. I might fight with this thing in a challenge against Kidkrusher (if he accepts it.):

Now I need to how destructive this bot really is anyway. Who should I fight? *scrolls to find an easy opponent* I'll fight that bot!

He's stuck on a sawblade! Now I'm ahold of that bot because he's ready for pain!

FINISH HIM! FATALITY!1! A winner is you!

Off-Topic Discussion / Vintage TV/movie production companies
« on: January 05, 2013, 05:56:19 PM »
Talk about very vintage TV/movie production companies and their shows/movies. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer recently had their Christmas film A Christmas Story show on TV, and their film the Hobbit was out in theatres.

Discussion / Awesome-looking spinmotor: how do I get it?
« on: December 18, 2012, 06:32:42 PM »
I found a very cool-looking spinmotor in the UI/Botlab folder. It looked like this:

Was there a .gmf for it somewhere in the components folder? If so, what was the filename? It could of bean useful for good bot-building.

Existing Games / NASCAR Thunder 2004
« on: November 04, 2012, 05:51:05 PM »
NT2004 has so many drivers* including legends such as Richard Petty, and Dale Earnhardt. It even has drivers that don't exist such as EA SPORTS Car,  and the pace car driver, Buster Auton. Ironically, he is real driver, it could just be Engrish text. Some notable tracks include Daytona Beach Classic (Yes, the one that was raced on sand in the 40's and 50's), and a fictional track track named Tiburon International Speedway, which has right-hand turns.
*The NASCAR driver types include: Winston Cup, Bush Series, Legends, and Fantasy.

Discussion / Excellent but impossible suggestion for a game mode
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:55:14 PM »
It's likely impossible, but a game mode that should of been on Robot Arena 2 would be Multi-Mook Melee. You would be only allowed to choose a HW, and your goal would to defeat as may LWs as possible before your armour eventually loses all of its HPs, is counted out thus immobile, Havoks out of the arena, or (would of been only possible if it took place at the Metal Skull or the Octagon) would of bean eliminated because it went into the one of the pits. At start of the game, the bots that sprawn from nowhere to go after you would be easy to dispose, such as Lil' Dogs and Scouts. After some bots are defeated, more difficult bots such as Berzerkers and Stingers would appear more frequently. Also, the number of bots at a time would slowly increase.
The bots in order of appearance would be:
Lil' Dog
Scout
Flapjack
Bot-204
Ninja
Civil Disobedience
StingRay
Arc Pounder
Scary Hanger the silver bot in this screenshot from the back of the boxart: https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/214251TE44X52PL.jpg
Roly Poly
Catfish
M.A.D.
MiniBerg
Flame Chopper
JACKPOT!
Stinger
Berzerker

On the HDD info about your bot, it would state how many bots you have defeated as your score, instead of how many DP you did to your oppenent.

Existing Games / How can I play on an edited Robot Arena 1 MFC Application?
« on: September 08, 2012, 04:54:25 PM »
I just opened the Robot Arena 1 MFC Application and found out the Armoured Forklift's Wood Armour's files were missing there so I added them. But I get this when I go play on Robot Arena 1:

Existing Games / Where is the debug menu in Robot Arena 1?
« on: September 07, 2012, 10:04:43 PM »
I realised the only way to unlock the Forklift, Digitial Insignia, and Wood Armour -- without sacrificing another conponent-- was to find the debug menu in Robot Arena. Anyone know how to find it?

Off-Topic Discussion / Cartoonament Nicktoons Special
« on: September 04, 2012, 08:42:37 PM »
I'm doing another Cartoonament-- this time a Nicktoons edition. Because of School, I'm only doing this on Fridays, Saturdays, and the first half of the day for Sundays.

It is divided in 3 Heats. Each Heat has 6 popular and regonisable Nicktoons. For the 2 prelim matches, there are 3 Nicktoons and 1 from each beginning match of the Heat with the least votes will be eliminated, then the rest of the Heat is 1-on-1. For the Grand Finale the 3 Finalists will go head to head. The polls last half a day.

Heat 1 matches

Heat 2 matches

Heat 3 matches

Chatterbox / Official thread about Hot Wheels
« on: August 27, 2012, 04:26:06 PM »
Read this if you are too mental to know what Hot Wheels is:
Hot Wheels is a diecast car company owned by Mattel.  Mattel is very well known for its femime toys, so Hot Wheels, among other toys, was invented to balance this. They wanted to compete with Match Box, but they needed to convince the toy is supposed to be muscline, which was the big challenge. 1968 saw its first cars, the 'Original 16'. It has been famous since then. Deora , Twn Mill, Whatta Drag, Bone Shaker, and Rodger Dodger are some of the most popular. 'It's Pokemon with cars', says an IGN editor. There are apprx. 500 original Hot Wheels cars. Anyway,

What cars do you want to see on the 2013 Hot Wheels list? Hopefully 40 Somethin' makes its first Mainline apperance in years. (Last time was 2003.).

What to do when if you doing a long post:

1. Think about what you will post.
2. Type some of it on Note Pad.
3. Save your text.
4. Come back later then and resume your progress. Repeat this step until your text is done.
5. Copy, then Paste your text on to the Reply box.

Other things to know:

Avoid 'Leet Speak', 'All Caps', 'All Lows', and avoid excessive exclamation points and ones at the end of a sentence.
Stay on topic. For example: post about cats in the Feline Thread, and post about Hotel Mario in the CD I Thread.
Stay on topic: threads edition. For example: Start a thread about Tacos in the Chatter Box, and start a thread of your account being hacked in the Forum Feed Back section.
Avoid posting pejoratively if you are mentally angry at the moment. Take your In Real Life time to coool down.
In a Show Case, post constructive criticism that has nobody has not yet.
Use proper grammar, but you are excused if you are Chinese or Japanese:
Proper:
'My bot can defeat Emergency in 22 seconds.'.
Improper:
'That of me bot defeat Emergency in than less 30 seconds.'.
Check for mis spelled words. Use this as a reference: http://en.wiktionary.org/
Use punctuation correctly.

Off-Topic Discussion / Nightmare closing credits logos thread
« on: August 07, 2012, 08:24:59 PM »
Post any closing credits logos you think are scary, startling, and creepy.

Some I found:

This is the blood stained variant of the 2001-2003 A.K.A. Cartoon logo. It has a black and red colour scheme, with a blood stained background, high pitched trumpet 'scream' sound, and a grosteque image, you might not want to watch this at night. It appears at the end of Ed, Edd, 'n', Eddy's Boo Haw-Haw.

This is the 'blackground' variant 1998 Stretch Films Inc. logo. It is very scary because of the extremely ugly mouth and a 'blackground'. It is mostly seen on Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Credits to BeckyLT2140 and 217Dan for the videos.

Existing Games / Hot Wheels: Track Attack
« on: July 20, 2012, 12:20:24 PM »
Let's face-- I'm one of the smallest fans of the Wii-- but there is at least one game I play on it. That game is http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=hot%20wheels%20track%20attack%20wiki&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CFsQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhotwheels.wikia.com%2Fwiki%2FHot_Wheels%3A_Track_Attack&ei=XJUJUN2uDuTi2AW-0ujWBw&usg=AFQjCNE05hgDwencdNUBsXwVRp_DKQYwSw There is 36 cars, 10 tracks, and you can paint ad upgrade your cars. You start out with 3, but the more you win, the more choices you get.

Chatterbox / Idea for Monopoly- Hot Wheels Edition
« on: July 19, 2012, 03:43:59 PM »
.I was thinking about the game Monopoly AND Hot Wheels (Thanks to the Slideout replica) at the same time, and thought about a Hot Wheels Edition. Instead of purchasing areas, you would purchcase Hot Wheels cars whilst going across the board. You would start with 318Cr. IMO you should not be able to buy F1 Racer or another exspensice item until you earn more money.
My ideas were:

Tokens:
Wheel
Racing Helment
Nitrous Can
Exhaust Pipe
Car (Slideout)
Engine
Cherkered Flag
Car Hood
Rocket
Helicopter
Airplane (Mad Propz)
Trophy

There are 22 buyable cars color-coded by type:
Blue- Tuner
Cockney Cab II- 60Cr.
Ultra Rage- 160Cr.
Asphalt Assalt- 260Cr.
Paradigm Shift- 525Cr.

Green- Supercar
Urban Agent- 220Cr.
Night Burner- 320Cr.
Twin Mill III- 425Cr.
Solar Reflex- 475Cr.
F1 Racer- 575Cr.

Yellow- Roadster
Gov'ner- 100Cr.
Draggin' Tail- 240Cr.
Bone Shaker- 300Cr.
16 Angels- 500Cr.

Orange- Muscle
Custom Otto- 120Cr.
Jaded- 140Cr.
Rodger Dodger- 200Cr.
Nitro Doorslammer- 400Cr.
Rivited- 450Cr.
HW40- 550Cr.

Red- Off-Roader
Dune It Up- 180Cr.
Bad Mudder 2- 280Cr.
Nega-Duty- 350Cr.

New cards:
EMP- in Upgrades- Next tyme if a negative aspect happens,(i.e. Arrested for Street Racing), and have this card,
then it will not affect you at all. Can only be used once.

Grand Theft Auto'd- If you pull this card from Nitrox 2, then the most exspensive Car you own is suddenly taken
away to the opposing player with the least amount of money. You do not get your money back you paid for the Car.

Robbed- Same with above new card, but $100 is taken away.

Black Friday Shopping- Ih the upgrades pile. Pull this card and you can get a free Car with it. Useable only
once.

Do YOU have any decent ideas about a Hot Wheels Monopoly? Then post about it. I'll have more ideas on this post soon.

Off-Topic Discussion / Cartoon Tourney II
« on: July 13, 2012, 01:04:46 PM »
Yep, you heared it-- I'm doing a sequel! It's back! New & improved! Better than ever!
It is a 32-show tourney divided into 4 heats-- a lot like Robot Wars. There are 8 contestants in each heat. The 2 with the most votes will advance to the heat semi-final. For the real finale, it is a one-on-one voting contest. There are four Wildcard Matches in the beginning, with 3 shows dueling in their respective channel-- Nicktoons, Cartoon Network, Disney (not only Disney Channel), and the misc. category. Another change is that polls last for only half a day.
Wildcard competitors:

Cartoon Network:
Adventure Time
Regular Show
What Ever Happened To... Robot Jones?

Disney:
Doug (Nickelodeon version, but its okay to have oxymorons sometimes, is'nt it?)
Emperor's New School
Cars-toons

Nicktoons:
Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
Wild Thornberrys
Hey Arnold!

Misc.:
Animaniacs
Jetsons
Looney Toons

Brackets

Heat 1

Heat 2

Heat 3

Heat 4

Off-Topic Discussion / Epic normal Cartoons compitition thread
« on: June 30, 2012, 03:37:17 PM »
This is a thread for epic Cartoons competing. First there is Elimination-- Lasting for 3 days is a race against 4 hot cartoons. The one who gets the least votes each day is KO'd. Lasting until only one is still standing. Then it's standard race-- there are 6 hot cartoons in a one day vote-- the winner is the one with the most votes. Last is tourny-- The setup for the Tournament:

                                              444444
                                                3    3
                                                   2

The number means how many player there are, the number of number in a row is how many matches there are.
