Showcases / MassimoV's RR2 Bots
« on: August 13, 2020, 12:56:18 AM »
I'm still learning this game. I don't know if I did something wrong but combat is all messed up. Also every time an opponent with a spinner starts, they spaz out. I also have 1 arena and now drive belts.

Anyways here's my first one, named Jaeger Bomb

2
Hey so since we have brackets now, I figured we could do brackets like March Madness. Points can be like this:

1st round prediction correct: 10pts
Sweet 16 prediction correct: 20pts
QF prediction correct: 30pts
SF prediction: 40pts
Final prediction correct: 50pts

I can update the standings each week with everyone's points after the episode airs. My entry will be this:
http://challonge.com/skrtskrt

So if you want to participate, let me know. I've done this kind of thing before and it ends up being pretty fun. If you guys think this will suck, let me know and I won't go through with it.

RULE SET 1
- Ironforge HW
-16 Entries
- Robot Wars Arena
- 3 minute matches
- Realistic Rule applies very strongly, IT MUST BE FOLLOWED.
- No AAM, NCR glitch, Narmor or any other glitch that makes the bot unrealistic
- Trov Glitch is allowed, don't abuse it
- You are allowed to BFE as long as the bot stays realistic
- Judge bursts are allowed, one per bot
- No walkers/crawlers
-1 straight on fight

WEDGE RULES:
-Chris and I will make the final call on the wedges if they are realistic or not. If we don't think they're realistic, we'll notify you and you may send an update.

JUDGING
-lolz we'll ask yall who won

THE CAAAAAAAAAAAATCH:
So yeah while fighting on gameranger, Chris and I realized that we have very low lag because we live like 50 miles apart. So we're like, lol what if we made a tournament like this. The more we thought about it we're like yeah man [yolo]. So when you send your bots ,send them to both 090901 (if ya didn't know that's Chris ya knuckledragger)and I, and we'll fight them via gameranger. We both suck at driving so don't worry. If you really care who drives your bot, we'll come up with something so we'll put your whiny ass to sleep. Each of us will record their side of the fight and upload both to youtube so both sides can be observed. May include dank commentary if that ends up working.

***NOTE***:
This tournament is not meant to be very serious, kind of like GREATEST TOURNAMENT OF ALL TIME. It's supposed to be goofy and sort of a gimmick. It's as experimental as Kanye post Kim Kardashian.

General Support / Startup Problem
« on: November 07, 2013, 06:33:03 PM »
Yo, so when I'm opening any copy of RA2, it starts loading, everything's going fine, but as soon as it gets to the part where the main menu pops up, the thing shuts down. And there's now warning box like "The program has stopped responding," or "C++ error". It just takes me back to where I clicked the game and the RA2 icon is in the task bar. I try clicking on it in the taskbar, but all that happens is the screen turns black and after like 4 seconds, it takes me back to the same screen. I've already tried restoring the computer and I haven't done any big modding. Can I get some help here?
