-Stock IRL HW

All three weight classes are the same bracket, and you do not have to enter all three.

Heavyweight (800kg)
IRL Realism rule, STRICTLY ENFORCED. Do not push the rules.
All glitches are allowed as long as your robot is still IRL-realistic. I will be judging this VERY LOOSELY so do push it.
RA2 Component Freedom is allowed and encouraged to make your robots look as good as possible.
BFE for realism and aesthetic purposes are allowed and encouraged as long as the robot stays realistic. OBJRA2 falls under this as well.
Robots do not must look as close to real-life designs as possible.
Multibots are allowed, provided the two robots are similar weight (no distraction/mini-bots)
Walkers/Shufflers are not allowed.
DSC's IRL packs are allowed and encouraged for this tournament.
Other skinned parts are also allowed and encouraged, as long as they are included in your entry. Make your robot look unique and interesting!
If your robot looks really bad (like for example a garish box with a weapon slapped on it) then your robot will be rejected.
I reserve the right to re-skin any robot I think has a bad or low-effort skin.
As far as cheatbot2 parts are concerned, the flatmotor, slow flatmotor, and overkill servo are all allowed, as are cosmetic components on a case-by-case basis.
Robots should not have unrealistically powerful weaponry. This covers burst spam as well as weapon spam. If your robot is too powerful, I will ask you to change it.
Flamethrowers cannot use or any modified python file that allows for infinite flamethrower use
Custom AI will be permitted, however it cannot do anything that a human-controlled robot cannot do.
robots must show controlled movement

Heavyweight (800 kg)
Realism rule
You can use up to four ballasts without it affecting your weight
No RA2CF, BFE, AAM, etc.
Rule of 7 break is not allowed
SNS cannot use melty-brain AI
Crawlers are not permitted
No cheatbot2 components (I forget if there are any)
Multibots are allowed, provided the two robots are similar weight (no distraction/mini-bots). They are considered knocked out when both halves are eliminated.
Custom AI will be permitted, however it cannot do anything that a human-controlled robot cannot do.

rules stolen from a tournament:
Basic Tournament Stuff:

BFE/OBJ are legal if used for realism purposes
Beaters will use their correct DSL stats

Weapon Limits:
- VERTS: 2 large teeth (15+kgs) ex: Large Typhoon, Ripping Teeth, Large Nightmare, etc OR 4 small teeth (7-14kgs) ex: Small Typhoons, Cutting Teeth, Heavy DS Teeth, etc OR 8 Small/6 /Med/Large Beaters. Everything else will be a case by case basis
- HORIZONTALS: Can have either a max of 3 large teeth, or 2 large teeth + 2 small teeth.
- WEDGELESS DRUMS ONLY: Can use up to 12 Small, 10 Medium or 8 Large Beaters. Other teeth types would not be allowed on these bots.
- Use basic common sense if mixing weapons (ex: 4 small typhoons and 2 larges is not allowed on VS)
- TO CLARIFY A WEDGELESS DRUM: robots like DID and Roka are wedgeless drums(eggbeater in Roka’s case) whereas something like Phantom is wedged drum
- Just don't be dumb and use 3 frenzy hammers or something
- Front/Rear hinges are allowed up to 1 Beta Burst/Motor or 2 VDMA R/P Bursts/VDMA Front Hinged/Storm Burst/Mag Snappers
- Top Hinges are allowed 2 Mag Snapper maximum. Pneumatics are banned

- All DSL 2.4 IRL edition armors allowed
- Skirts only allowed on dustpans with proper support
- Ant Blades are banned for all bot types.
- Configbots are banned
- Bots that are too unstable will be rejected
- Anything I don't think is fitting will be rejected, and if something is found to be illegal with your robot post sign-ups your entry will be auto DQ'ed

Battle Rules:
3 minute matches. If a match goes the full 3 minutes, it will be judged by the ENFORCER or somebody else probably
probably gonna host this circus on parsec too since i don't feel like AIing stuff, it'll be on a saturday if i do so. i'll give an exact date once i get all the bots so if you wanna show up you can show up i guess

everybody sends in a chassis, then i will randomize them and everybody gets a random chassis someone else sent it and must build their bot from that. if i deem the chassis too awful to build with you can keep your spot but i will request you send a new one. you can also skin the chassis you send in and then the builder must keep it (unless the skin sucks) if you need an idea of what this leads to just look at this topic.
note: you can use whatever chassis armour you please on your bot
note x2: you can use BFE and/or OBJRA2 when making the chassis
note x3: after receiving your chassis to build from you will have a week to send me a completed bot otherwise you are fighting with a blank one

note to enter: you need to send me a chassis thru pm/discord/whatever
also please dont showcase your chassis beforehand the more surprises the more fun tbh

Site News and Feedback / Rules page finally updated
« on: September 22, 2019, 04:20:46 PM »
I interrupt your coverage of OrcTechMods to bring you a quick newsflash:

I finally got around to putting something on the rules page after deleting Naryar's TL;DR wall of text that was there before. It's just a few basic guidelines but the page isn't blank anymore , if there's something major missing let me know please. Also a reminder forum staff has the mandate of heaven and if you do something really really dumb that isn't explicitly outlined you can still get muted/banned for it.

Also I made the Donation award no longer the  heck emojii woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Back to your normally scheduled programming friends.

Site News and Feedback / Slight Tournament Section Changes
« on: February 08, 2019, 05:33:15 PM »
Tournament Archives section has been added now for all past sign ups and video threads so we just have to move threads instead of having to pin/unpin/lock things, woohoo.

Also to all you folks out there who got your own tournament discords n stuff, feel free to advertise in the Signups board as long as you are willing to accept bots thru the PM system here and post the vids here (or make someone else do it for you lmao)

Also it got moved from the bottom to the top of the section since i dont get why it was at the bottom.

Site News and Feedback / What would you like to see from GTM.
« on: January 17, 2019, 10:40:52 AM »
Hey guys, with Kill's recent departure I feel like it might be finally time for this thread.

With what's left of this niche community I was wondering if there was anything you guys would like to see going forward into the future.

Examples include:
-Subforums for certain popular/unique tournament series Ex: Orc Wars, GTMCS, NOVA, etc
-An actual attempt to finish DSL 3
-Tourney signups listed on the front page

Please feel free to comment anything you come up with yourselves as well.

hey gamers thanks for keeping this place alive for some reason for over 10 years, tbh this place is probably going to die out in the next 2 years but its been a fun ride guys (not bad for a niche game released almost 15 years ago)  hope you lads had a nice holiday season too.

love, 09 xoxo

Tournament Archives / Mega Host Title - Back from the dead.
« on: January 11, 2018, 07:15:58 PM »
Great news, the Mega Host title is coming back from the dead.

Q: How do I get the Mega Host title
A: Host 2 or more tournaments in a calendar year that had 16 entrants/16 planned entry spaces. After you complete your 2nd tournament, PM 090901, Geice, Guldenflame, or Hoppin and they should hook you up with it.

Q: What do I get by being a Mega Host.
A: Green name, Mega Host title, ability to rep, and maybe some other things that we come up with.

The Supreme GTM Overlords have also been gracious enough to extend this offer to tournament hosts who hosted 2 or more tournaments in 2017 which means the following users are eligible for the Mega Host title:

Disclaimer: The Mega Host title may be revoked at GTM Staff's discretion.

If you have any questions and what not, post em here.
