Discussion / I just wasted three hours stacking these blacks!
« on: August 22, 2014, 08:44:02 AM »
You know what?  Good for you.

Want to know what I did in two hours?

I had something to eat, I walked my dog, I BLOOPed to Oyster and Keno Yantaro's stuff, I had a cold shower, I read my favourite blogs and then I turned on RA2 and used hax mode to stack those two blacks because BLOOP anyone who whines.

I have one hour to spare, and I'm using a part of it to tell you all I'm more productive than you'll ever be.

"I wasted three hours stacking these blacks!"

Good for you.  You get a gold star.

I remember playing a game where I spent several hours doing the same thing without end.  I'll look through the recycle bin to tell you them, because If I have to spend two+ hours on a menial task I'd better get a salary for it.

At least MMORPGs do grinding well.  It's tedious, but fun from them.

Yours truly, a person who doesn't waste time.

Chatterbox / I can alter this?

Modifications / ATTN - PyRA2 and you.
« on: March 28, 2014, 04:25:31 PM »
Since we have a sh** ton of new members with skilled programming knowledge, I'd like to ay there is a sourceforge project called PyRA2.

It's a .BOT file exporter, and contains some nifty code about what the bot structs contain. I'd suggest you go over it once and a while if you have any Object Oriented Programming experience.

Here is the sourceforge page:

Chatterbox / OK here's why I'm a bad boy
« on: November 03, 2012, 07:43:07 PM »
Okay I've been a bad bad guy for the last year, I'm sorry.

Anyway, it started when on my 16th I found out I was the spawn of Sonneillion and had to do some freaky devil sh**.

Got involved with the wrong people, did drugs, drank alcohol and hung out with the cool kids.

Parents and girl disowned me. Became homeless.

Fed my habit renting myself out to fat redditors on r/gonewild.

Found god, posted this.

Tournament Archives / The great NAR AI round robin.
« on: August 08, 2012, 02:41:20 PM »
The latest edition of NAR AI availible as of today is being used in a massive round robin tournament. I'm cutting it up into chunks to deal with the scale, and devolving everything to a single battle each.
Basically, this is to show two things; The current state and balance of the AI pack and  to be a soapbox for my RA2 musings while I update.
The first segment is a MW round robin. Segment one includes all the bots from the "stock" teams. the MW, LW, BW and AW packs will be in BBEANS v2 arena. Let's watch.
The 28 contestants will fight for 27 rounds. That is over 300 battles. over 1000 if I did a best of three.
Luckily, The fact it's a round robin should equalize the unfair losses as the tournament drags on. Not only this, the best bots from the chunks will go into a few "high tier" chunks to really sort out the best of the best. This should essentially serve to show what bots truly need updating, what bots don't and what the metagame is looking like at the moment.

Tournament Archives / The Circut.
« on: August 04, 2012, 07:15:59 PM »
Time for some actual competitive tournaments. I'm presenting mine: The Circut.
It'll be a round robin using stock BW to LW. I'll be casting the tournament rounds on my Twitch TV channel, possibly with commentary.
I'll also be allowing people to team up and enter a bot together.
Since it's a round robin, I'll be doing signups differently. No limits on entries, but the deadline is final. Even if you are a second late, it's not going in.
Rules: Old BBEANS Arena. Best of three. 2 Havok restarts unless intended. No Nasty pickle. Bots must show controlled movement.
Bans: Cheatbot components. All AI parts allowed. Normal stacking is allowed. BFE and AAM are explicitly banned, and Hax mode is banned with a nudge and a wink.
