doesnt that have pretty low walls? and a lot of random stuff on floor which likely screw with AI?

you need to have the wheels contained inside of the chassis, right now how you have it set up the wheels are way wider than the chassis, so theres no way the ring of the spinner would even be able to contact the actual chassis lol
sick ass ms paint drawing of what i mean
(Image removed from quote.)
So as long as the chassis has a makeshift "mounting point" for the ring to sit on, it's good then?

if want to make mauler, just have the top and sides spinning around a chassis. dont need to cut through anything.
But...I want Mauler to be an INVERTIBLE ring spinner. Being flipped over is Mauler's biggest weakness. The wheels beed to pop out on top so he can drive on either side.

that would make it not mauler then, considering its spins up to try self right like a lot of bots in RA2

the white  on front is not the supports, the triangles are more to protect the supports and any random HS hopefully.

not a chance of getting through heat a, im more confidant in heat g and thats saying something

Its still the same issue now though does 50kg make much difference in wedge war or when flipping? And its still the difference between ti and steel, those that uses steel before are fine but now the same build would only be allowed ti

Just asking as 50kg can be difference between ti or steel. So all bots can go 650 or they have to be 600kg. Regardless of patch or not mostly due to weight can make a difference with flippers or how a bot reacts when wedge war happens

so if im understanding this correctly bots can be 650kg? which would mean even if a bot is underweight  after the patch you can bump it upto 650kg?

ill cancel this due to interest, dont think people want to build a bot for 1 comp with the new 2020 rules just coming out

fair point about the pixal chassis, but odds are all bots will need to be immobile for that to happen. Eventually the 2 active bots will get close enough to draw each others attention. if i deem one not moving freely enough then it will be manually counted out as for the havoking on random parts, if that happens and it drastically effects a bot then restart with eliminated bots removed and a percentage of battery from each bot based on the amount they had left.

Ok so just something fun and destructive a couple of single elimination events

No-Limit Mayhem

Event Rules

4 rumbles of 4 bots each
winners advance to final rumble
matches will have NO TIME LIMIT it will be a fight to death
arena used will be RW2016
there will be a spinner competition and a flipper competition
havoks will restart matches without already eliminated bots
if a bot causes 5 havoks it will be removed from the rumble

Build Rules

DSL 2.2 IRL pack will be used
DSl IRL HW (800kg)
Steel 10 and Ti 10 is banned
wedglet damage will be off for both events (provided i can get the patch)
No Clusterbots (obviously)
all free hinges are banned
no hybrid weaponry allowed
the 2020 weapon and burst rules are in effect
OBJ, CF and BFE are allowed
any "floating" components will be auto DQ (if you lose your disk i expect anything meant to be attached to it to fall also)
No custom components of any kind (skins, hitboxes or meshes)
no custom .Py
If you AI your bot yourself that AI will be used, if not i will AI it for you.
any complaints about the AI or how it was used will ban you from future tournaments till i say otherwise.

Entry Details

You may enter 1 bot in each event if signups are slow i will allow another entry
i will not be entering either event
signups are open until filled
if there are still spots to be filled on 2nd feb then 2nd signups will be allowed or i will adjust the format to 3 way melee.

any questions of if i missed anything let me know.

can we just keep track of floor flipper KOs? it will probably end up MVP

16
its cool, hope it clears up. worse case if any of the bots dont pass tech checks the builder can just have a bit time to fix the issue while conferences are being drawn.

looking at my heat if i win anything it will be just due to spikeballing as some big bots there that will just bully mine

18
just finished mine but not really happy with any of them, my most destructive bot is a flipper  heck

Just a reminder
Horrible color schemes make your bot 30% more unique
Have a boring 4wd vert you want to give personality?
Make it burn the retinas of the viewer with a full hot pink color scheme with a splash of purple
It totally won't look like absolute sh**

I'm in Canada currently till I get bored and move back to UK to watch it turn into an apocalypse island after brexit
You mean till you get deported?

Nah as i have my permanent residency card now so cant get deported unless im a danger to Canada. 5 years till dual citizenship though which makes getting a new passport a pain in ass.
