Redid disk support, and rearranged the armor panels.

First thing out of the way is I don't even know a discord existed; I double checked all sticky threads in places I would assume a link to such would be in to not find it. (It's in this very subsection I am dumb.)

Secondly I feel the forum offers enough feedback for users who post even semi-frequently. What people are probably actually trying to say is they do not get immediate feedback. Forums also lend themselves better to proper thought out responses, not saying Discord does not but it's more active nature means those responses may take too long to type out and the conversation could have changed during that time typing. Just me personally, but in my experience with Discord many users do not follow proper etiquette, or even attempt proper grammar.

Lastly while I do like Discord most of the time I think Discords focused on singular games/anime/things do not do very well because people who grow tired of those things do everything but actually discuss the thing in question. I know this can happen in forums also but since Discord is a chatroom type deal it's easier to notice and harder to ignore. I almost forgot how it's easier for "Undesirables" to join and make friends with Admins/Mods and tl;dr ruin everything lol. That sounds fringe I know, but I have seen that happen to communities I used to be apart of and it's really stupid and frustrating.

I would love colored flipper segments.

Two more bots CW Kill-o-amp clone and a slightly amateur VS HW with 4wd because I've made too many 2wd bots

Thanks you all for your help.

Forgive me if this question is too easy to solve, I search throughout the forum only to not get exactly my issue. Whenever I attempt to make a flipper in DSL 2.2 with either a Beta motor or the pneumatic motors no matter what extenders or component combinations of weight/size I use the robot will almost universally tip over it's front end when flipping a robot. I at first figured this was because most of my bots are 2 wheeled drive, but after testing with a 4wd robot the issue persists. What do builders here use to make these types of flippers without the issue I am facing. Pic related is Cranky Spanky from the irl ai pack with it's clamper removed to better illustrate what type of flipper I am trying and failing to make.

I lied about the last rebuild because I hated it so much :dead:. Whipped this up in less than 30 minutes from an older version and I can say not only does do everything it needs to but also looks closer to what I wanted and I'm pleased with it. The wheels are not exposed I am using the clear armor panels in-case you can't see it very well. The specs for the internals are the same as the original version.

Last rebuild, it doesn't tip over and flips fine after many tests against the flip test robot , self rights consistently, and now it has wheel guards. Personally I feel it's lost most of it's charm and I don't want to touch it anymore.

Today I remade 1 bot and made 1 new one.
I wasn't happy with the performance of Brahman Bull. I changed the position of its flipper motor, and replaced his frame like armor with proper panels.

My newest bot is a Hammerbot named JackHammer. 4 NPC fasts, Large pneumatic motor, and too many batteries.

While I'm fond of the frame structure I took your advice. I also redid this front end it looks much better imo.

I remade my MW bar spinner into a CW FBS with the intent to emulate Mauler's steel flails. All internals were replaced now having 4wd and tornado mer motor.

Thanks for the advice I've been using a very outdated guide from 2014. For my SCSA based bot I went back to the HW class and created a hammer/crusher bot. I might go back and edit the wedge parts later they still don't look quite right but it's effective.

For comparison here is the version 1 which was part thwack bot.

You could widen the gap between the front spikes and put the sheets in the middle if you really want to keep the sheets. I don't think that kind of setup would look bad personally.

Forgive me triple posting but I made another robot today. A LW rammer bot named Pedigree.

2 regular NPCs to save weight with 2 ants very minimal but gets the job done.

Forgive my ignorance, but with the discussion of extender bots do you mean all bots that make use of extenders for weaponry/armor or am I mistaken?

Today I made 2 new bots, 1 CW and 1 MW.
First here is the CW a remake of my old shell-wheeled thwack bot, renamed to Cactus Thwack. I highly doubt it would be allowed in an IRL setting however but it was fun to build. No inside pic as he only has the standard NPCFS, bat, and anchor to hold his extender.

Next is the MW Minister of Darkness, in testing it performed the best out of all my current bots. Specs: 2 NPCFs with Growler wheels, Tornado Mer gearbox with dsl bars tipped off with small Typhoon blades, 3 ants and the blue ctrl board.

Finally I ended up deciding to optimize my HW flipper. All the internals are the same but I weakened his armor to Ti5 and used the extra weight to replace his extenders from aluminum to Titanium. Repainted to fit Brahma Bull's color scheme.

I made another one yesterday but I don't really like how it turned out. I don't want to delete it so I'll upload it in my next batch of bots.
