This was 13 Black when I saw him last year in Manchester. Yay colours!

I think the S3 wheels look dashing. I do think that the wedge is ugly, and with the weight saved you can make nicer looking wheel guards though.

Not sure if it'll help but perhaps use a drive motor to swing the weapon instead of a spin motor?

A drum bot (not using wheels) will spin the axe better but move less well. It's a fun-to-drive trade off =P

Raise the hinge and use an extender that isn't plastic. Or, use magic extender work and use an angled shell panel, or some flipper segments.

I'm working on a new team for this, if you want it, and I can work out how to build lightweights.

THE SCOOP LOOKS SO SMOOTH
Thanks, I actually made that scoop years ago for a Punjar replica and just ninja'd the chassis and scoop for Blue Raptor, which Panda apparently edited into Orange Raptor.

So is Gatekeeper going in LDAI?
I don't want to claim credit, just wanted to show you the nippy-er raptr I play with in my own game :)

Yup, please. I've decided I don't like Thrasher.

It looks a little better in action. The problem was I made the back-arch-thing first, then had no idea how to connect it all up to something pretty. Download it here for yourselves.
The wheels do intersect, could I argue they look a bit like tracks (and the movement is similar) just to keep  them?
(Edit: Oh, and yes, it self-rights fine Kurt)

Also, I made an update to Blue Raptr:

I call it Orange Raptr. There's slightly less armour, (Tite 5 I think) to make way for 4WD, and spikes that do just enough to stop it being useless on it's side.

S'been a while. Meet Gatekeeper.

793kg. Titanium 10. 4 wheels. 6 Ant Batteries. Judge Burst axe based on Blue Raptr's from the IRL AI pack. Badnik96, if I may, can I swap out Thrasher for this guy on my team?

DSL bars might look better than the skirts?

Revolution is essentially a lightweight build of this sucker:

If it's truly a beta, it should be in the final stages of its development. In which case, it's not really an excuse. Beta != Bad.

If it's a work in progress that's nowhere near release, consider calling it a "teaser", "pre-alpha" or "what I'm working on but haven't gotten too far with". Because for a "teaser", it's promising, and I'd love to see it come release.

Your physics make me sad. Panic Attack can't turn on the spot, and got stuck in a wall, and then pretended the arena was water and started bobbing up and down.
Also it could use a keybind so I can escape the game without alt-tabbing out.

I like Hatred's chassis, but not the wheel guards. I also think you could benefit from Hypno-teeth, or cutting teeth, or just some good ol' beater bars on the disc.
If you try hard enough, you can probably get the wheels in the chassis (and maybe even get four wheels in there). You also only need like, four or five ant batteries for it to have enough power.

Critical Reaction:
Again, nice chassis. I'm reminded of Season 2/3 of Robot Wars, haha. I think the end without the drum should have a spike that can do some damage poking out, a nice Iron or Razor spike.
Also, with the Schrimech, if you use a light extender (like a polycarb, instead of the steel ones you have), the robot will flip with more ease. You'll also have more weight for cool things!
And lastly, piglets are for weapons. Foo'!

I like Mantis, but I wish the pickaxe sucked less. That's not your fault though. Consider using a skirt piece as a flipper segment, they're pretty good.

Also I don't think I saw anyone else post this (sorry if I'm wrong and just can't read);
But for those big-ass beta burst motors (on the Mortis-like bot), you need two-big-ass-black-batteries and three or four ants per burst! Or, about 25 ants per burst  :rage

I'da thought tazbot wedges work/look better than the flipper segments + beater bars, but that's just me.

Those are worse than Hypnodisc, at least, Chaos 2 is.

Back to your robot Merrick; if you exchange that burst motor for the green one, (maybe having two), it'll be able to self-right more effectively. I made a Scorpion-y looking robot here
, so you should be able to make an effective weapon and schrimech in one!

Batteries, everybody's already mentioned. You'll have more space for the motors when you change to ants.

I'd maybe see if you can move your drive wheels forwards, and find space for a second set of smaller wheels near the back. Alternatively, four wheels of the same size. It's just a bit better than casters is all.
