Apparently you can get some of the components to float above the chassis without being attached to anything.

Seeing that right now with one of the motors on Sage's stream

Been a long time since I've logged in on here, although I've still been lurking.

I was so excited when they announced this, been reading through the thread every other day. But what I've seen so far watching the stream is a bit iffy. RA2 DSL looks better.

I think it will get better and I plan to buy it at some point. Some cool ideas, but it still needs some work.

Sure, I'll need to figure out DSL3 first though and see how all the new balancing works out.

Most of it will probably be remakes of what I have already done though.

I still have all of my robots, I was able to back it up before the virus made me wipe my PC way back when that happened.

Most of what I build is still VSes, I also like to play around with hovercraft engines and generally creating things that have big intimidating weapons even though they can be so unstable they aren't really great for real tournaments =p.

I've been gone for a long time because of computer problems (actually wound up being a really easy fix, I was just too lazy to do it for a couple of years...), but now that I finally have it fixed I am really looking forward to trying this new stuff out.

Planning on it, I haven't been able to play in a while, hopefully once I do get everything with the PC fixed (had to wipe the HD around the time I stopped posting, but I still have my RA2 files on a flash drive, and there is still some issue with Windows XP installing correctly) I'll be able to get back to playing regularly.

I saw that the NAR AI pack got much bigger too, so I'll need to download that again too.

Awesome, I was just trying to get back into this game (been having some problems with the PC that all of my games are on, and I haven't really tried to get it fixed up since then in either 2010 late/early 2011 until now) and I see this news.

I hope that someone buys it and we can get something new with RA2. I'd love to see someone make a new game like this with built in programs for making custom components and arenas.

I haven't been around for a while [had to wipe my Hard Drive a while ago, I have backups of my RA2 files but I haven't reinstalled everything yet] but the new update looks good.

Right now I think R4 will win the tournament, but these videos are really good right now so hopefully the high quality will keep up.

How about in this version you include some of the arenas from the BeetleBros. site and GTM, so we don't need to go through all the hassle of going through the process of putting it in the game (I don't know how to do it).

I already have a few of those on my copy of the game, but it would be nice to have them on DSL 3.0.

At least I made it to #20 in a bracket with almost 64 bots.

I just can't get Windows Media Player, or Quicktime to open when I click on the icon, and I can't get any of the videos I have on my Harddrive to play.

I'll see if the VLC one will work. I had it before but I uninstalled it because I think the tournament videos on here would not play.

Edit: VLC works, but I can not get the tournament videos to start when I click on them using FireFox, IE does work but the quality of the videos isn't as good as it was before.
