Dang, Oblivion darn near lost against Crouching Robot. And then, what was Immortal even thinking there???
That was how I hoped the match would play out, though (minus Immortal suiciding). I wasn't sure who the Ironforge match would go to, but I hoped to win the Stock and DSL rounds so the Ironforge match wouldn't actually matter.
Now, for the final. It's a rematch, and though I did win the first time around, I did get pretty lucky. That said, I'm in the better position, since I have to lose twice thanks to double elimination rules. Should be an interesting match; excited for it!

Well, that was fun. Back on topic now. Here are a couple alternate skins for Cheeseburger Revolution, since Amerifats vs Britbongs is dead (RIP):  On the left is Rotary Macerator, competing in Back to the Roots. On the right is Oblivion, competing as part of my 2rios of 2error team. Oblivion was inspired by the song of the same name by Aviators. Rotary Macerator was inspired by a Minecraft mod. I also reskinned my bot from RA2 League, since that's not happening either:  This way, I can re-enter them in stuff without feeling like I'm being really lazy, even though actually I am!

I'd like to ask if RedAce could take those plates off my bot for the next match.
Sorry, but I can't remove them. Not because I haven't recorded it, it's just that I can't make changes to any bot once signups have closed (with the exception of small AI bits). That's like if Team Tornado were to make an anti-crusher frame for one specific match-up at the very last minute (If anyone is willing to argue about this being fair or not, at least take it to a different thread). It would cause controversy, it's simpler to just stick with what I got, and frankly, it's not entirely fair to anyone really.
Not a promblem! We'll just have to see how it goes, then!
Figured there was no harm in asking, though.

Bad matchup for Oblivion there, it's not great against HSes. Surprised Ammunition managed to win that for me, I'm pretty sure it's my weakest bot of the three. GG guys, it was a close one.
Also, it looked like those front armor plates on Ammunition were actually stopping GO PLAY IRONFORGE from going up the wedge. Since I'm up against another wedgebot in the next round, I'd like to ask if RedAce could take those plates off my bot for the next match. Unless you've already recorded it, or something.

It is using TRFBD.py. Checking against another bot using that AI is a good idea though, donno why I didn't think of that.
While I'm fixing that, enjoy the final match of Round 1! Can a clamp and a... whatever Squirrel_Monkey built take on two popups? Do I really have to ask?

Episode 3: I have no idea what Re\/olution thinks it's doing. It didn't affect this match, but if someone knows how to fix it, please tell me so I can have the bot ready for future matches.

Thanks for the quick episodes! This is kind of a random thing to notice, but I like how the arena skin makes the wall look like it has parapets, like it's the top of some kind of tower or something.
Anyway, I've been able to embed Friendship Rumble matches, so lemme try this:
If that works just quote this and see what I did.
EDIT: Yugi beat me to it. Also, I didn't notice the videos had those cool custom title cards in. That's a nice touch.

Consider using NPC-fast motors rather than the regular NPC motors. NPC-fast motors only weigh 5 kg more than the regular motors, and will make your bot (as you might expect) faster.

Do you have NPC motors or NPC-fast motors for the wheels?
You have way too many batteries, and the ballasts don't serve any purpose at all. If you take out all the ballasts and unnecessary batteries, it should be easy to get this design down to at least a MW.
Do the front spinners hit the ground when they spin?

I tried doing some editing stuff to limit the amount of "one bot pushing another bot in a circle forever". Lemme know what you guys think about it.
Also: Lucius the Eternal is super havoky, for some reason.

1. You need more weapons.
2. This bot has two ballasts, meaning it "really" weighs 271.2 (the first 4 ballasts don't count toward your weightclass in Ironforge). Try to cut it down to 200 kg (the Ironforge MW limit) or buff it to 400 kg (the Ironforge HW limit).
3. This design really should be invertible. Use wheels or larger treads so it can run upside down. Make sure to use the right type of motor - there are special "locked" motors meant for use with treads.
I think that'll be a good start. Good to see you trying out different mods, though!

Thanks yugi, you explained that way better than I would have. But I would like to again point out that the "surprise change" had indeed been planned out since Day 1 of the tournament. Yugi did a great job encouraging discussion without giving away the twist in the signups thread, by the way. Thanks dude! why didn't you tell me i could've fixed the arena skin so it matched the new logo

I wanted the first time you realized that something was up to be seeing the new logo. And don't worry RedAce, I fixed the arena skin already.
