DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit and Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 15, 2018, 01:23:55 PM »
Did a version of it with a longer flipper powered by 2 small VDMA bursts as someone commented that the previous version might have trouble flipping stuff. Had to drop to regular VDMAs from fasts (which is probably for the best TBH, it was a little too fast for its own good before) and it looks a bit less cool IMO, but it should be more effective and they're the same bot at heart so I could always enter then as 2 configs as a swiss army bot or something.

Another new one. Actually kind of happy with this one for whatever reason. CW flipper with a kinda unique look to it (I think at least). Can actually self right surprisingly. Will likely be my entry to Wen's CW tourney provided the weight class doesn't get changed.

In addition to the previous bot I've also made some changes to The Fourth Horseman (that skeleton style bot from a while back). Big steel wedge on the front now. Really happy with the looks of this one now and it could hopefully be decently effective in combat too. Looking forward to being able to put it in a tournament to see what it can do.

Tried to rework Lightrider into a CW as an entry for RedAce's tournament but it didn't work out so I decided to make a new bot. This is Zodiac. Rear hinged CW flipper. Fairly happy with how it panned out in the end.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit and Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 10, 2018, 07:15:28 AM »This version looks much sleeker than before good jobThanks! Also managed to upgrade to medium VDMAs since I took posted that so it's more powerful now too. 955

Beefed up lightrider a ton with Ti panels on top of the already Ti extender construction so it should be tanky as hell now. Also ditched the fake pistons
in order to get some more power out of the flipper.956
DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit and Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 09, 2018, 07:13:09 AM »great shape.Hmm I kept the wheels exposed because I personally like how it looks but I'll maybe think about at least making a version with guards just in case. 957
DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit and Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 08, 2018, 08:14:04 PM »That looks hella cool. Can it actually flip, and how long does it take to get dismantled? Thanks! Can sort of flip but not massively strongly. As much as it pains me I may get rid of the fake pistons to reduce the weight of the flipper and give it a wider arc to hopefully get some more power at some point. In terms of getting dismantled I'm yet to truly find out. The front is titanium so it should be SOMEWHAT resilient but the rest is all alu so I imagine it will get ****ed up pretty quickly. 958

Another new one. No internals shot because this is probably the biggest nightmare to take apart I've ever made. Was desperately trying to make it a CW for RedAce's tourney but to no avail so it's now a HW.

Shoehorned TWMR drive into it instead of flats. Still slow but less so now. Also knocked up a quick splash for it.

Here's another new one. Vertical bar spinner that's sorta in the style of S3 or Tauron but I tried to make it a bit different. Slow as **** drive wise due to using flatmotor drive due to space limitations but I think it looks ok.
