DSL TC Showcases / Reier's Showcase« on: September 30, 2008, 06:49:34 PM »
Yeah, I've decided against entering that one. I have till december to design a good one, so no rush. I've also found that the hex plates cause damage. (Duh...me stupid for not looking at stats.)

I'm entering a interesting tournament Gigafrost is making an called ELBITE
(you can read the full rules here https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1067), where you have to make a robot with interchangeable weapons around a common chassis. (Sounds a bit complicated, but a great idea.) You have to fight a Deathmatch, King of the hill, & a tabletop. Deathmatch & KotH are played normally, but on the tabletop your bot can't have any intentional damaging weaps on it, so you have to send in 2 bots. (pant, pant...) Anyway, if you understood what I was saying, here is a possible candidate (either this or Radioactive Gnat): tabletop robot 10 mm plastic 2 npc t64 fasts 2 battlepacks & 1 ant mag burst flipper Battle robot: Sort of a lame crusher, I just wanted to have something unique...(maybe I'll change it.) Post away! 9165

Sure, thanks a lot. What programs do I need? (maybe we should continue this in a PM, it's getting a little off topic.)

Maybe, I know how to do smartzones & label the drive controls & stuff like that, but I'm not sure how to do AI file bindings (If that's what they're called). 9171

It says DSL up there, it's in red.
And do we have to AI our own bots? (I'm not very good at that...) 9172

Sage, some of the links on the tournament page aren't working. I'm not complaning or anything, I just wanted to inform you.
EDIT: Sorry, they're working again, I guess I just looked while he was editing the page or something. (What was with that vid that was on the brackets' page though?) 9175

It'd be cool w/ strength & weaknesses, but I'd be satisfied with that. Jules, that bot is going to beat mine and others. It's a great bot. 9177

Daisy_might T O R Q U E Bots that I think I can beat: (Not that these bots are bad) Classy paintjob BLAH Facemelikeaman PSI Hum Drums Shadow Morse Code Breaker Tie (Not sure) the rest All these bots are good, and good job with the toruney Sage! 9178

A real life Multi-bot could be any 2 (or more) robots that when combined, add up to a ceartain weight class. In this tournement, you're only allowed to have 2, but they don't have to be identical.
Quote from BBEANS rules: Quote Multibots 9179

Somebody already put my bot on, so I'll show you the insides:
It can wipe out Smashbox 2, sometimes Mako, but I haven't defeated Shebeast yet. The one in the tourney has a different skin. |
