Wait. Are burst motors allowed to go through other things, or are we going for full dsl-s?

This is Stock building, so go crazy.

it's a lot more fun to actually drive what you build

I'm pretty sure if I was driving my bots rather than the AI, I'd get super salty every time I lost.  Guess I should try it out sometime, though.

I literally cannot wait for the splash screen.
It's gonna be great!  I hope there'll be more than just 5 bots on it though.

(hint hint)

(that hint applies to everyone who hasn't entered, not just hi5er)

RA2 in Undertale would be retarded.... inb4 EMERGENCY in place of sans on Genocide Route

Nah dude, EMERGENCY would replace Asgore.  SFTW would be sans.

It's mostly due to the children that take undertale and slap it onto everything. Oh? A great anime? MIX IT WITH UNDERTALE UNLESS YOU WANT A BAD TIME. Oh, RA2? NEEDS MORE UNDERTALE OR GETTT DUNKKED ONNN M9 ;)

Cool!  Let's see if Metal Crusher can pull a Butterfly Sting here.

Here's some thoughts:

Dr Payne DDS: I want to see this one in action, looks interesting.

Force of The Storm: Isn't this the one I crushed in a challenge match?  It might have some luck against the wedgeless bots, I guess?

Fhqwhgads: Wedgy-drummy thing.  Cool.  Looks like it'll be hard for Metal Crusher to hit.

KillerWhale 3: Is it a flipper?  Looks kinda IRL.

Metal Crusher: The splash doesn't properly convey how pink this bot is, I feel.

Stains of Time: Another one I want to see in action.  Also looks hard for Metal Crusher to hit.

tba: I tried making a 6-wheeler a while back, but it turned into only a 4-wheeler.  Looks like it'd be a good target for Metal Crusher, but we're on opposite ends of the bracket.

Backyard Shredder: ...looking at the bracket, it might actually win a match.

If you run a tournament, Wen, I'd definitely enter.

Just the line, unless you're using something really weird

So I don't understand tournament rules about AI would I have to do it myself if not I would love to enter as a crappy joke entry.

Oh right, I guess I forgot to put an AI rule.

If you send an AI I'll use it, but if you don't send one I can just give your bot Omni and call it a day.

If you want to be able to drive it manually and also AI it, have a button named "Spin" and a switch with the default name that do the same thing.  Bind the button to some weird key you'll never hit, and use the switch like normal when you drive it.

Fair enough about wanting to AI them, just throwing it out there. Carries over nicely to the next point actually. With regards to the controls, steer clear of the switch and even analog controls when wiring spinners. AFAIK, due to a quirk in the programming, spinners actually spin faster when wired with a button.

Yup, AIed spinners need buttons rather than switches (the button needs to be named "Spin" to work properly, also).  My guess is that the AI basically says, "when in range, hold down [whatever] key", so having a switch means that the switch is constantly turning on and off.  Analogs might work, I've never tried.

your showcase name reminds me of mine
Is that a good thing?
yeah it means we're humble

Cool bot dude!

I don't build IRL often so I can't give advice there, but just wanted to say welcome to the forum!

Stock/DSL tournament where you can only use one of each component (excluding batteries and extenders)
Isn't that Scrapyard Challenge? Don't remember if that's the exact name but I'm fairly sure that was the gimmick of Kurt's tournament.
I was gonna run an off-brand knock-off Scrapheap Challenge called Trashpile Trial, but I didn't want to step on anyone's toes.

Got a robot from battledutchman!

Also, I just now realized I didn't address this in the OP: You're allowed to update your robot as many times as you like during the signups period.  Once signups end, you can't update your bot anymore.
