I am going to jump on the bandwagon here and say that SKBT can do whatever the heck he wants.

My original plan was to make a decent Scyther.

Problem is... Scyther is a rather upright pokemon and with the chassis limitations in RA2 I couldn't make a bot that even resembled it.

Paras on the other hand, is coming along nicely.  :D  Progress at about 90% if I can get the damn mushrooms to fit on the back somehow.  After that... skin and find a host for this battle.

That or I can build a bot for you. I will make sure it's effective.

Heck! I will enter... and I thought making people AI my bots was easy.

How come Click doesn't have this rule with BBEANS?

I know most of the basics with BFE.  Feel free to PM the bot to me and let me know what needs to be done.  I can't promise success though.

Bump

Loved tonight's race. Ragan gets some redemption for the 500 :gawe:

I guess Ragan won't be unemployed at the end of the season like I predicted.   :gawe:

Great race.  I agree!

Haha. I laugh in your general direction.

All car manufacturers make mistakes.  All of them have recalls.  Toyota's brake failure problem was one of the most public because they are one of the top tier car manufacturers and they were slow to react to the problem.  Common mistake.  You are probably too young to know that Ford was in hot water many years ago because the Firestone branded tires on their SUV's were self-destructing nor are you old enough to remember that Pinto's would explode upon impact due to shoddy gas tanks.  The list goes on as long as cars have been made.

I just think that your reaction is a bit over the top.  There is no perfect car brand in the world, so calm down.

General Support / Re: How to work the Bot Exchange bots?
« on: July 02, 2011, 09:51:38 AM »
I just reallized I have some of the teams out of order will that make a difference?

I will venture to say yes.

I think that if the teams are out of order, they will not match the AI lines for the corresponding text file.  Thus, some of the bots are probably asking for incorrect AI lines that cause the game to crash.

If it is that messed up... I think it would be toooooo much effort to fix it all.  You might want to start over with a clean version of the game and take things step by step really slowly, testing each bot/team as you go along.

Good luck! I hope you get it sorted out.

Why is everyone so concerned about Stock Dying?  DSL tournaments still outnumber stock most of the time.  Also, no offense, but stock tournaments often get filled up with newer builders and it just doesn't generate the same interest with Veterans like the old days.

I would be willing to bet that with each discovery over the years people have feared that it would kill off Stock interest.  Dating all the way back the beginning with the first stack, bot file editing, heck even popups had everyone's panties in a wad.

I say, release it to the public and future Stock tournaments can be either:

-Stock abiding by the realistic rule (thus negating the need for any hax)

or

-Stock All In-game Glitches Allowed  (probably ushering in a new era of leet bots that separate the men from the boys *and women from the girls just to include Scourge*)

Newbies would enter the realistic rule tourneys... and power builders would enter the SAIGA tourneys.  Everyone is happy.

Edit: And yes... i know i praised you for keeping it secret at first... but 12 hours gave me time to think about it more thoroughly. I changed my mind.  :P

I reserve the right to take the ham from Naryar and eat it too.

XD  Best quote ever.

Seriously though, Naryar reminds me of myself outside of GTM.  I am always volunteering for projects and work... yet I never have time to accomplish it all.  Half of the time I cant fulfill my promises and disappoint people.  Just not enough time in a day to get all this stuff done.

I wonder if he even started a bot?

The Trov glitch came and went... But it was resurface pretty recently and now quite a few bots are using it.   Just sayin'  i don't think people will forget this one.

On a side note... if this glitch gets Inf and Psy back into the game full tilt.  i am all for it.   :D

Click's Ironbot tourney should have similar rules for component removal.  I believe he has a trick to keeping track of the components via a txt file or something that will save you a ton of time. If you get a minute, send him a message and some cash to bribe him.  He could probably be swayed to share his tricks.

I think it will save you a ton of time and frustration.
