I didn't like how random flipping was. Get a tiny part of your flipper under a spike or weapon and they'll go barrelling into the air. Get your flipper anywhere near the chassis and they'd bump into the air slightly and not be affected. It was lame.

I do have an invertible robot ready to show, but it's at a PC I'm unable to reach for a week or so. Flipping Out tends not to care if you're invertible (and it's in an arena where you can go OOTA) ;P

Flippers can all go and die in fires :<

As people have already said, needs weapons. You could probably make the robot invertible and look like a parallelogram if you're going for an earlier-RW-style bot, that'd be cool. Try add some spikes while keeping it LW :)

I think only the original 5 should be there. I've noticed Mr Psycho parts in one of the AI packs though, and we already have Growler (although he Havoks) so I don't know how hard that'd be. Sir K would have to be a SHW though in DSL3. Cassius Chrome just makes me sad. And we have Shunt so Shove isn't necessary really.

If it's IRL MW and based off Robot Wars then not sure even Flamethrowers should be allowed, as they were never in any of the broadcast episodes.

Got hit by a Spinner, went onto my side and somehow ended up in this unlikely balancing act. And won, because the spinner fell off in the impact!

Few things that I feel are important; the camera's are in just, the worst positions. The arena-looking ones need to be higher, and the one behind the player needs to be further back & higher. As you say, the physics be crazy. I think you'd have more realism if you had wheels and attached them to the body, and made the wheels provide the forward force. That should get rid of the invertability problem at the same time. A brick close to the floor shouldn't make Roadblock ramp up it, and it's weird that it does if it's got a BoundingBox around it =S Last one is that those brown blocks in the middle path seem to be connected, so when you drive Roadblock at one of them, the other one moves. It created some lulzy moments, so they should probably be split into one "Brown Box" object instead of the "Two Brown Boxes" they seem to be.
It's a promising start though, hope to see more!

Flipping Out IIPower - 2 Large Blacks, 24 Ants. Armour - Titanium 3. Uses regular NPCs, and rubber wheels. I tried Hypnos and Micros, but I want more speed, and cant really get it. I guess I should lower the armour.. I think it needs more power? It's too slow for my liking, but if a robot can go Out Of The Arena, it will. Sometimes the force causes my robot to do a forwards flip XD So far it's beaten Grog, Wide Load, UnDeadbeat all in the RW Arena.

Made some tweaks. I think it's running a Titanium, but might be Plastic 3, I forget how to check. Less Ants (10), and looks a little more visually pleasing while being more armoured thanks to the DSL bars. (The spikes are for aesthetics more than anything). The Schrimechs are a lesser motor, so now it doesn't flail wildly when self-righting XD It does have this issue where driving forwards, it just veers to the right. I've another bot that does the same thing, maybe I'm a lop-sided builder? As far as I can tell one of the Perm-80s sinks through the chassis more than the other.

Hey there, I'm Celestial Panda. I've been lurking around a year, playing RA2 for two. DSL's a great improvement on the original game, wonderful for building all kinds of things! As someone who is still lamenting the loss of Robot Wars, I like to build things similar to what you'd see on the show, I just wish flippers were better in this game. Is there a method to building very powerful flipper-bots? So I hope you like the robots I've built! I still need to learn patience, and the best way to line up motors for symmetrical-ness. I also overpower them, but that's because I like to put battles on for 5 minutes and want to be prepared. Flipping OutArmour: Titanium 1. Power: Entirely too many batteries. Put in the Red battery for the flippers, but I don't think that's right. Drive: TWM3R Drive. It's still a little slow for my tastes, but gets the job done I guess. Saw PointArmour: Aluminium 1. This is a terrible choice, I know. This bot needs a slight tuneup. =P Power: Still entirely too many batteries. It's also really easy to stack the orange ones, so I do that quite a lot, so there might be even more hidden there. Drive: NPC-T64s, wonderfully fast and keep me pretty close to the ground. There's a Schrimech made with two bursts and two perspex extenders. It tends to Self-Right too well, putting me back on my back sometimes.

Yesterday I thought there'd never be any more games or shows, and today there's at least two new games and optimism rising.
So excited.
