Also, the skirts are slightly less IRL than what a set of flipper segments would provide so use a chain of those connected to make a more realistic flipper.
Or do what I do and use armour panels as flipper panels. See my showcase for examples. I'd also raise the drive motors up a click and use bigger wheels, partly so they stick out the back and stop you getting stuck, and partly so that they'll last longer (if you use Vlad wheels, you can bolt a small DSL disc onto them as wheel armour). It's getting better, but it's still got a little way to go.

Upgraded Vertigo once more. Taking TheRoboteer's suggestion, it now has a bar srimech with supports, which looks a bit more realistic. I also extended the two wedges on the sides, to stop it doing a forward somersault every time it hits something. Might rustle up a proper skin for it and enter it into Badnik's artbot tourney, since it's probably the artiest bot I have.

Try to BEAT Me and LARGE FLIP look like strong contenders. As for Hellhound, its inability to self-right really let it down. Shoulda worked on its stability more so it didn't get thrown by the first ht like that. At least I don't have to worry about it getting rekt by Fire Tornado in Round 2 though :P

So if Hellhound wins its qualifier, it'll face my other bot Fire Tornado in the second round... that'll be interesting. In any case, I'm hyped to see how Fire Tornado will do (especially since it's seeded 5th!)
Some crazy-looking stuff being entered here, this is gonna be an awesome tourney.
Random seeding. It would be interesting to see how the tournament would go if I seeded the bots "Properly" though.
Oh, I see. Well, I'm still excited to see how this tourney pans out.

I feel like the chassis could be made more compact, and you could put some better wedges on the front, but doesn't look too bad overall.
As for Blue 2, I'm pretty sure it has way, WAY too many batteries. I know flippers need plenty of battery but that's gotta be pushing 500,000 total units, which is compete overkill. Take some of them out and you'll have more than enough space and weight for some T64-Fasts, and maybe some wedging on the front like Avalanche suggested. And if you want it to be IRL, then the skirts won't cut it (I had to learn that myself). Again, though, looks pretty good, and clearly very powerful, just needs refining.

I've had this stuck in my head recently. I blame my dad.

Put it on a team with some similar VS/HS and you could call it the International House of Pancakes.
You mean the International House of Paincakes Looks amazing, I love it. And I second that, I'd love to see a mini bacon-bot for this.

I'd say fewer batteries and a more powerful weapon motor. You might JUST be able to fit a Tornado Mer Gearbox in there without having to rebuild the chassis. Looks good though!

And can you believe it, would ya look at that! We're not actually fighting for once!

Oops Also I updated my opinions post because I accidentally the wrong LW group the first time

There's so many robots in this tourney so I'm only gonna be looking at the ones from the groups my bots are in. Disquiet: As seen in What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger. Probably the weakest of my entries. Might cause some damage, will probably get torn up though. Isotope: As always, will be among the group favourites. Lawnmower: Based on its appearance and Baconus' track record (no offence intended), will probably be the weakest bot in the group. Plastic Hide: Pretty good drum spinner, pulled off a surprise in WDKYMYS, may cause one or two here. Radioactive Dong Simulator: E X P A N D Spinner From The Middle East: lol memes. Not sure how stable it'll be with that spinning caster. Super Rammer Evo: Looks pretty neat, could do well.
Admiral: Not looking forward to facing this, what with Venom 2's lack of frontal protection. Aether: Interesting. A LW tracked bot with a custom flipper... there's gotta be a weight compromise somewhere, and I'm betting it's the armour. Blitz: Another flipper. Should do well, as I don't think most of the other bots in this group are invertible. Charcoal: Small extender-frame body, big vertical spinner. This will either end very well or very badly. Problem: May well have one. Weapon doesn't look too sturdy and it's gonna lose all control if even a single piece comes off. Venom 2: As seen in Death Battle, now rebuilt as a standalone bot and with even more firepower (so to speak). Again, this will either end very well or very badly, but it'll be a fun experiment either way. Weevil: Looks a bit odd at the front, will be interesting to see how that weapon performs though.
Dead Heat: I think it's an undercutter. I think it's facing backwards in its splash image. Looks like it should do okay. Grimm: Looks fantastic, has a frenZy hammer, should do pretty great. Krieg: Battery issues notwithstanding, looks pretty cool IMO. Malachite: Not looking forward to facing this. Nebula: Pretty neat angled spinner; again, though, nervous about facing it. The Silencer: Don't see many horizontal sawbots. Interesting choice. Looks pretty well-armoured. Velocity: Will be relying entirely on catapulting opponents over the wall. Unreliable self-righting shouldn't be a problem given its opponents but I don't know how great its armour will be against all those spinners.
Box of Souls: Oh hey look it's Icewave Very clever design, I love it, looking forward to seeing it fight. Discontent: As seen in WDKYMYS, turning Jophiel into so much scrap metal. Might have a harder fight here. I still expect it to do well. That disc is frightening. L'Via: IT KEEPS HAPPENING. Anyway, good-looking bot, like the front spikes, but feel they may end up getting in its way. Ray M: Well-armoured, but... what's it supposed to do, attack-wise? I honestly can't tell. Reptilian: Looks awesome. I'm guessing it's a flipper? May be worth keeping an eye out for. Snag: Very interesting idea. Those small teeth will have low DP but eight of them together should rack up damage fast, on a place where most robots won't have protection. Tombstone Evo: Whoa. That's a serious spinner. It might just end up flying around uncontrollably when a bit flies off, but could do plenty of damage before that. Black Cloud: Gonna be difficult getting under those front skirts. Should be able to resist that axe though, and axes are notoriously bad at self-righting... and I should know. Carbonize: Oh bloody hell. Death Comes: ...except not really, coz it's a SnS. It doesn't come to you, you come to it. Don't know how well it'll do, since I've never encountered a pure SnS bot like this before (they're usually banned) Ironside Mk.I: Looks awesome, fantastic extender work, might be difficult to get under, not sure about the weapon though. John the robbut: [PSYCHO THEME PLAYING LOUDLY] Prepare For Trouble (And Make It Double): TO PROTECT THE WORLD FROM DEVASTATION! TO UNITE ALL PEOPLES WITHIN OUR-- ahem. I mean... unique idea, I like it. Looks a little fragile, though. Spiky: Interesting. I assume that drum spins? Doesn't look too stable. Might be hard for some bots to attack, though, with that high ground clearance. Terminal Velocity: This thing can't be reasoned with. It can't be bargained with. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are out of the arena.
Arachnida: My fellow axe-boi from Wild Card Rally returns, now with beefed-up armour. Looks cool, could go far. Dentophobia: I have absolutely no idea how this is gonna play out. Will have to hope its teeth last. Gadreel: Another Gabriel clone, but a bit more solid-looking and with weaponised wheels. Neat design. Wonder how it'll do. Goblin Shark 1.1: Plainish 4WD clamper, will need plenty of lifting power if it's to emulate Green Arrow from Wild Card Rally. Megiddo: Tough-looking armour, looks a little underweaponed though. Monarch: Like Dentophobia, capable of plenty of damage but will have to hope the weapon lasts. Ript Again: A double VS like my own Vertigo, cool design, could spring a couple of surprises. Salamandra: Like Monarch, but with tougher teeth and exposed wheels. Could go either way.

tbh if you are looking for more oddball bots or w/e you shouldn't allow shell spinners made using the DSL discs since they literally all look the same
honestly haven't built many shell spinners myself so thanks for the info, I've added it to the rules.
Yeah, I mean there's not really much you can do with the shell spinner parts to make 'em look unique, it's mostly just "flat sides or angled sides" and then maybe a little decoration on top. I hope DSC puts coloured spinner shells in one of his IRL packs.

That is a pretty good Kronic replica, i like it. I too have been working on a replica.
(Image removed from quote.)
I LOVE it. All it needs is the polycarbonate panel on the back.

triple-posting aaaaaaaaaaaaaa I've completely rebuilt Minor Discord (as seen briefly in What Doesn't Kill You Makes You Stronger). It's probably gonna replace Deathstalker as my go-to CW from now on, because unlike Deathstalker, it's not gonna get stuck upside-down all the bloody time. And here's another DisHarmony bot I cobbled together for Guldenflame's 1-Shot Showdown. I managed to turn my usual shoddy extender work into a sort of "scrapheap" aesthetic. I hope. Now to go actually submit it
