on my main computer(which is down at the moment), i just use python's official GUI(also free). Either way, should i go to a poll or is there something that needs to be changed? (i highly suspect the latter, but i don't know what)

Tournament Archives / The Battle Arcade: Signups Closed
« on: October 24, 2015, 08:54:31 PM »
Alright, I wanna try hosting a tourney. Here are the rules:

Rules:

Stock-Standard HW
3-Minute Matches
SnS banned
No external glitches (AAM,BFE,etc.)
HAX mode is banned
Cheatbot components banned (just to specify, this does NOT include AI components)
Just to specify, clusterbots ALLOWED
One havok restart per match, afterwards a havok forfeit will occur every portion of the match (A restart will be caused if it is obvious that the havok caused a loss)
Sergepatcher is banned except for Ro7 Break
Arena will be randomly selected from the following list (Just to specify, I mean using Trov's random arena selector, with a restart for 2 of the same arena in a row):
Main tourney will be best of 3 with hazards ON, while the final (and 3rd place match) will be best of 5 with hazards off.
There will also be a Bo1 rumble for the 4 bots with the most kills (again, in a random arena)
16 spots, obviously
Unlimited minor adjustments while this is still in signups (afterwards, no adjusting, obviously), but you can only perform ONE major upgrade.
I will enter this if there is space, with this thing:

well, i'm not the best at aiing, but i think you may have to program your own.  :rage

i honestly don't think it would be worth despite the ironbot stuff, because while keeping your components on is important, doing damage is equally as important(to get components off of other bots), and with the iron spikes, would be cut almost in half, however i will look at pointy tips...

EDIT: After testing, pointy tips actually turned out to be worse. So razor tips it is.

to elaborate on what naryar said, it is possible to make a bot with two chassises using BFE, but only one of them can use a regular drive motor. the other one has to use servos for drive.

@redace/creepalot: due to the way that the extenders are set up, it would be less weight efficient without the seperate BA's, as well as even if i could get rid of the BA's in a way that is saves weight, all i could do is add one razor tip. This is something i failed to divulge(sorry): the bot weighs 248.8 kgs, meaning i cannot put another component on. @Scrap Daddy:with all due respect, imo having external drive in an ironbot style tourney is complete lunacy. everything else, however, i followed.
here's the final splash:

OMG SO RANDOM, REIER! IT'S SO HILARIOUS!

You know what else was random and hilarious?

The Holocaust.

Dude! Too far...
Welcome to the internet. To your left is Holocaust jokes and dank memes. To your right is the copious amounts of pornography. You're free to browse any of it. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Sadly, he's right. :P

Still, I don't think it's really right to say that. You know, the whole "respect for the dead" thing.
Did you literally just start using the internet the day you found GTM or what? There's no ****ing way you can be this naive.

No, I have been around the internet for quite a while, now. Maybe this, how you say, "naivety", is me being raised to be respectful to those who died due to an abhorrent and ignorant man's ideals.

this is true, and i try to follow the same scruples, but then there are those who do not. HA is the prime example of that.
