Challenge Board / Re: Naryar VS Scorpion (BATTLE)
« on: March 26, 2011, 02:59:24 PM »
And of course, in before GF announcing the fight with an Incredibly Lame Pun-filled post and me and Scorpion doing a bit of ham-to-ham combat and trash talk before the fight. Completed with correct evil laugh, obviously.
My pleasure, old chum
Anyway-

"Yes folks, it's finally happened. Scorpion, the Apprentice Villain of the forums, has thrown down the Gauntlet to Naryar, the original Villainous Master of the DSL Showcases, challenging his superiority as a villain, and of course, in terms of building DSL SuperHeavies.

And thus, it begins!
This showdown between villains!
Will Scorpion prove to be more of a sting in the tail than Naryar imagined, or will the original Raging Frenchman teach his student a lesson in villainy he won't be forgetting?
All will be revealed as the two cross swords in the epic battle that can only be called...
THE ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN OF ULTIMATE VILLAINY"

Jonzu, I wouldn't be so confident. Don't want to accidentally pull a FOTEPX do you? :P
Precisely...didn't do the Mortis Team any favours, no matter how good their robot was

Chatterbox / Re: Fears
« on: March 26, 2011, 01:30:51 PM »
But is there anything rational about fearing death?
Though it may be true that only the one who lives forever never fears dying, if the ultimate of life is to enjoy it, why should we fear anything at all?

Perhaps once you reached the age of 80 there is no reason to fear death, but it is perfectly rational to fear death (or things that will cause death) when you are only 20 or 30 years old. This is because you haven't enjoyed very much of your expected lifespan.
You'd know from living in that retirement home for so long, Gramps

I thought Temi made the bot...
Well he did, but Jonzu was unhappy with the result.

There we are. See? You can make a good decision with a little explanation and persuasion

I'm just saying my opinion.
Although that is a fair point, you could do it a little bit less offensively. I mean, I tend to get annoyed when I lose at things to, but I respect the efforts of the other builder, and acknowledge both our efforts, give each other a pat on the back, before heading off to the pub

It's an example of good sportsmanship

It was unrealistic piece of sh**. And I KNEW, that there wasn't realistic rule. But I still dislike that bot.
Hey, that's not very nice.

Well, they do have a summary of the game on Yahoo, but you can hardly move for all the bigotted idiots who call themselves "fans" that you get on there.

That, and England was winning, last time I checked  :coolface

I GOT COUNTED OUT hahahaha
Yes...that's an annoying issue with RA2. Even if two robots (P1 and P2) got stuck at the same time, it's always Player 1 who loses, regardless of how well they did in the fight.

Now it's GF93 v SKBT up.
Is it? I can't see it on your page.

Ah, OK. Well I look forward to seeing how I do, and whether it'll continue this odd pattern I seem to have in BTTB.

Ah, OK. Are the Eliminators being done in any particular order, or are they chosen?
