Tournament Archives / Re: No Mind Devastation« on: January 09, 2019, 01:36:29 PM »the reason why there is no interest in this tournament is no one wants to build spinners with no control. no one else really thinks they are fun to build and they are not effective designs. Not effective? in control, yes. In damage? no. You can develop a 42 iron Wandering Spinner in Unrealistic. 724

Yesss, thank you :)))) Quote fun bot. Thanks. It was a fun build. Don't you just love building artbots like your famous Megatron? 725

Okay. Prepare to be mind-blown.
This bot's a UHW, weighing in at 835 kg. and actually does damage. Aside from that, it has movable mandibles, that can actually grab and crush opponents, as well as movable wings. 10 mm. aluminum. Oh, and it actually scuttles on chicken drills. 727

Uh oh... I keep getting this stupid error 404 code. Is there another video-taking app I can use?

I like the flippers and the drum. The green VS needs more work.

Disks hold more kinetic energy, and make for good weapons. Keep the disk on that bot. Looks nice.

I mean mostly in rumbles- ever had a bot attack your back side...and you're busy fighting a bot in front of you? I did that to Seism 13. I killed it in two hits.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit or Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 08, 2019, 03:38:55 PM »what side of a bot do opponents always want to attack? the back end. That's not how the AI works dude Not how AI works, but how people work. Remember- IRL In Real Life. You basically want to develop bots that can be taken from RA2 and be built in real life successfully. 737
DSL TC Showcases / Re: TheRoboteer's Hit or Miss DSL Showcase« on: January 08, 2019, 03:22:52 PM »Nicely done. You do need more defense on the back side, though. It's an IRL bot. Plus in AI tournaments 9 times out of 10 the bots are front-on to each other. Why waste weight on defending somewhere you'll rarely need itI liked the full front end flipper version better, had a foxic quality to it. I would also worry about stability if one wedge end is destroyed.I also like the original one more. The second one exists since there were a few people who said they thought the lifting wedge looked a bit weird, so I figured there was no harm in having an alternate config like that. ...unless those wedgelets make your bot stable... ...and going on what you said earlier... what side of a bot do opponents always want to attack? the back end. 738
Tournament Archives / Re: No Mind Devastation« on: January 08, 2019, 01:35:07 PM »Video editingYou have more no votes than yes by far margin... Its just tthat this tournament is uninteresting and that that Screenshot part is what made most people to vote no. Best way to improve is to try andd host challenges to see if people can trust you and your recording/hosting/editing skills Thanks, Kix 739

RedForge still under development.
2.0 being tested for errors... Stock AI 3 under development. > new stock AI bots rated for beginners. Not advanced players. (These bots would be considered n00b bots by advanced players.) > features 28 AI teams and 74 new bots. > Stock AI 3 is a match for the original stock AI, but slightly stronger, > based on IRL. |
